I wonder if you could say something like Я хорошо as an answer as well and if it would be the same for male/female. Большое спасибо!
You can say: "У меня всё хорошо" or "У меня - хорошо" or simply "хорошо".

How can I tell you creta by word
I was taught that "how are you" was "kak vou pushuvaiichu?". Is that still okay to use in a normal conversation, or is it more formal?
+Randy Calkins "Как Вы поживаете?" is of course formal, as you use 'Вы' rather than 'ты'. It's used, but not very often

It is spelled "г" but pronounced ''B''
