    Здравствуйте Antonia... You are a Great tutor and I love learning from you. I’m a New Yorker. One thing I’d like to mention. In the beginning of your videos please don’t say “Let’s get cracking” that is a Ghetto phrase just so you know. Thank for shearing your knowledge with us (students)

    Antonia, I enjoy your Russian teaching videos. However, my wife, Russian, is trying to learn English. She thinks your English teaching videos are a bit difficult. Is it possible to teach English with Russian explanations so that non-English speaking Russians are more able to comprehend your English instruction? Her difficulty seems to be that you teach English using a great deal of English and it is difficult for her to comprehend these lessons, especially as you speak rather quickly in English.
    Cheers,
    Rennie

    Your cold season is our hot season and vice-versa.

    • @AntoniaRomaker
      @AntoniaRomaker  8 років тому

      +Balaio do Devir how cold does it get there? :)

    • @WaldirNeto
      @WaldirNeto 8 років тому

      Brasil is a continental country as Russia, so we have diferent seasons for each place of the country. But generally we have a rainy but hot season in December, January and February, March and Abril and a cold and dry season in May, June, July, August. September, October and November, we have a kind of spring time - not hot nor cold, with flowering plants!

    • @AntoniaRomaker
      @AntoniaRomaker  8 років тому

      Balaio do Devir I see, but tell me what is the lowest temperature you usually have in the cold season?

    • @WaldirNeto
      @WaldirNeto 8 років тому

      I guess our hardest winter it's like your summer! Hahahahha! Depends on the place you are. In Brazil's north the lowest temperatures ranges about 18 - 25ºC, in the center of the country 10-20°C and the South coldest, -5 - 10°C

    • @AntoniaRomaker
      @AntoniaRomaker  8 років тому

      +Balaio do Devir you can't compare Brazil to Russia, then, it is VERY warm for the winter! :)

    I would like to know if you have created a video about the correct stress and pronunciation tips because the most part of time I get confused about what is the right way to pronounce some words in Russian... it would give me independence from memorizing words randomly... lol

    • @AntoniaRomaker
      @AntoniaRomaker  8 років тому

      +José Vinícius Vicente try watching this playlist, it is devoted to the Russian alphabet.
      As for the stress, I don't have such a video so far.

      Unfortunately for foreign learners the accent in Russian language is not fixed.
      Though there can be made a few tips: unlike English, the stress in Russian tends to be closer to the end of word. Ordinary it is on the 1, 2, 3 th syllable from the end.

    что месяця нравится русского народ? I don't know if this question was done good 8-)
    ... cool! you hair looks longer... I'm happy you didn't cut it

    • @AntoniaRomaker
      @AntoniaRomaker  10 років тому +1

      "Какой месяц больше всего нравится русскому народу?" - it is different for different people, but generally we want winter when it is autumn, and we want summer when the winter is too long :) My favourite month is April, it is swring and my birthday is in April :)
      p.s. thank you!

      they are both interesting, but I would go with Saint Petersburg. The costs are more or less high, I am not sure how to answer this question.. :)
