    So many people are hating on this case when they do not even look at what you actually get for the price
    Yes the Lian Li PC O11 may look better for less BUT if you want the front tempered glass version you can't have front intake as there is no space for intake and that case also has no 120mm rear fan mount it only has like two small fan mounts for 80mm fans and a last thing is that the Corsair has tempered glass *DOORS* which that case doesn't have. Then there is the fact that you are getting the Lighting Node Pro and 3 Corsair LL120 RGB fans which themselves are worth over £60 altogether and those fans are premium corsair fans (they are the 2nd best performing fans from Corsair and have the best lighting for an RGB fan) and the Lighting Node Pro which controls lighting and so on has onboard storage and is a controller for LED's and RGB fans which costs around £40-£50 with four RGB strips (you can buy the RGB strips on their own for like £15-£20) considering the LL fans and the Lighting Node Pro are an RGB controller and premium RGB fans which no case as cheap as the Lian Li PC-O11 come with unless you get some cheap case with cheap fans that only connect to an RGB header on the motherboard.
    IMO this case is totally worth it though I wish they sold a version without the LL fans and the Lighting Node Pro as I have SIX Corsair LL120 fans and a Lighting Node Pro as well as a Corsair Commander Pro (I got the Commander Pro first and was using it for RGB strips and a fan hub until I got the Corsair LL120 RGB triple fan pack which comes with a Lighting Node Pro). This is gonna be my next case as the airflow is the best for a dual chamber case that I have seen that has a front tempered glass panel and it has a DOOR which I prefer over having to reach over to the back and unscrewing the top to be able to slide out the side and front panels

      Do you realize that the O11-D takes a steaming dump on this RGB gamer oven with one less fan and purely passive exhaust? Temps are like 10 Celsius less with just three side intakes (did you not realize front exhaust just got moved to the side?) and cable management isn't just a spaghetti box in the other chamber. Corsair made the O11, but shit. Look up any review for this turd that has measurements for the O11-D, like the Gamers Nexus one. It gets utterly slaughtered by the non-filtered O11-A, too, but then you get dust unless you spend a few bucks on Silverstone ot Demciflex filters. But, then, you can get an O11-A for around $100. This miscarriage has no place in the market unless you've got a boner for RGB and are too dumb to buy the Corsair kit for a better case.

      All you guys don't even realise what I am trying to say I do prefer the looks and the fan/radiator support on the Lian Li PC O11 Dynamic but for front intake airflow that case sucks (Corsair Crystal 680x is better for airflow from the front) and IMO aesthetically the front intake looks better especially if you choose RGB fans and also I mentioned the fact that having a TG door is better than having to unscrew the top panel just to access the side panel which slides out

    Great review, thank you Tiny Tom! Nice interesting case to see get reviewed.
    In my opinion, they should offer up an option(or version) of the case with their White RGB LL20 Case Fans, in case you prefer them over the Black ones. Briony of KitGuruTech replaced the black ones that come with this case with the white version of them, and I agree with her, they look even better. Much like you thought static white for the RGB lighting looked the best.
    Cheers!

      I’m building in this case right now and I swapped all the fans out for 8 LL120’s. That brings the cost of this case up significantly (I still love the case). The other problem is because it is so big you can spend a lot of money filling it up with nice cables etc.. The review on this cases thermals are pretty much for geeks who literally use their PCs for benchmarking and wouldn’t know what to do with their pc’s if benchmarking software didn’t exist. My only complaint is that Corsair is extremely greedy.

    Case is very wide, but just not deep/long enough for good full gpu/cpu water cooling....the Li Lian 011 Dynamic XL is what I bought and so much better for present and future full water cooling, has 4 accessible hot swapping hd/ssd drive cages and room for (3) 360mm radiators.

    To me the point of this is if you want the LL fans and the look of the LL fans.. The case looks -really- good with the LL fans installed. Without them i dont think it would look as nice.. I am seriously considering this since once you start buying the 011 Dynamic with any RGB fans you quickly erode the price difference. I do really get the complaints however, and i dont think a non-RGB version of the case would be as economically viable for the company as some people wanna think (Even if you swap the tempered glass off for say, an aircool focused mesh for raw performance)

    If the watercooler rad is in the top isn't it cooling the CPU using warm air already or does it not matter? Surely in the front drawing in cool air would be better? I like the way you can easily remove the fans from the case like that makes dust cleaning easier.

  • @WhiteWolfTech
    @WhiteWolfTech 5 років тому +9

    So you can't go rigid tubing with this if you want to keep dust filters... what is wrong with Corsair in 2019? And the 678C is even worse...

    • @zahidshabir4038
      @zahidshabir4038 5 років тому

      I agree with the 678C being worse as IMO it is a good case BUT it is just too overpriced EVEN Corsair has better cases for less such as the Corsair Obsidian 500D (the one with the Aluminium front panel costs a whole lot less and looks better and is only missing the sound dampening foam stuff but at least the front intake is better)
      but as for the dust filter thing the reason which Tom game I do kinda understand but it doesn't seem like they put much effort in to functionality and practicality such as how they could make the dust filters visually look better without forcing you to take apart the fan bracket they could have just had a small gap in between the fan bracket and the front which would have a border that would conceal the edges of the dust filter and allow you to remove the dust filter from the side without taking apart the fan bracket (if you understand what I mean basically like sandwiching the dust filter in between the fan bracket and case)

    Looking at a few cases, i have a 900D but i'm looking to downside and get some better modern features into my case.
    Been comparing this to the H710i and i really love the looks for the 680x, love the idea of the PSU's and drives at the back of the case, but the interior just doesn't look right.
    You did an excellent job with your cable management, you actually made the bottom of the rear IO look really good, but you just have an open empty space that irks me (issue with the case nothing that you have done) the spacing at the top of the case and side of the case looks so constrictive too. I would be fitting a 360mm in the front of whatever case i get so that space would be nice to have and this just seems so restrictive, but am i been overzealous because i'm coming from a 900D? The H710i seems about the same size but has the great shroud and cable plate to keep things tidy, doesn't look as nice or have hinged doors however. I did see the Fractal Define S2, that case looks great too if only it had that arm in the middle, sadly it has just one less HDD bay than what i need at the moment (I need 4, i think this 680x also lacks it).
    Shopping for the right PC case is dam hard.

  • @Soopytwist

    Surely the tempered glass blocks airflow? Top one blocking output and the front one blocking input.

  • @RealButcher
    @RealButcher 2 роки тому

    Thanks for this talk.
    I have this same case from October 2021(it's almost March 2022 now).
    Just the other week I noticed the amount of heat buildup on the backplate. With a thermal-camera you can clearly see that heat.
    It showed during gaming by the amount of FPS that fluctuated very weirdly. Maybe thermal throttling / I did have it all on very quiet.
    Sooo... How to extra cool that?
    So, I was thinking about a vertical mount for more air alongside the back. The GPU processor is not the problem, it's the V-Ram that gets very hot. On the back. More youtubers have talked about this problem. The 3070, 3080, 3090 and the FE of them.
    Now today I mounted that aftermarket vertical GPU holder.
    Only, that vertical GPU is a problem. The RTX 3090 with that aftermarket vertical holder, does not fit in this case. :-(
    So, this vertical mount will be sent back and the GPU will be mounted on the front vertical holder.
    Yesterday I ordered a Perspex plate (38 by 47 cm) of 6 mm to exchange the door. In that door an opening for the GPU in the front will be made / same size as the GPU..
    The back-fan and the lower fans are 120mm. Actually all the fans are 120, but the front fans cannot be replaced by 140, it does not fit. Although there are screw-holes for 140.
    140 mm corsair fans are ordered for better airflow. One for the back and two for the bottom.
    Hope it works and sorry if my talk is too long :-)

    I think the dimensions look strange. It's too tall. As tall as a normal case. Doesn't make any sense. There's quite a lot of wasted space below the motherboard. The whole point with cube/dual chamber cases, is to have a more compact case. This is just overly and unnecessarily large. And it's a real shame, because i think the 280x is the perfect size for an mATX cube case.

      The Lian li, which I admittedly haven't seen in person, looks uglier to me in pics and video. The 680x looks to be of extremely high quality, and made specifically for people who want to bolt in some shiny parts and get to gaming instead of tinkering with this and that. This isn't for the benchmarkers, or for people looking to brag about having stupid low temps, this is for people that want to flex the look of their PC while getting -sufficient enough- cooling to not have to stress. That's my take on it anyway.

    It's not hatred for vertical GPUs, it's just logically concluding that they're a bad idea. As I've said before, they're for when you want a system with all of the expansion options of an ITX system, but the footprint of a full ATX system. Keeping the GPU on the board where it belongs gives you more options and reduces cost and complexity. It's a no-brainer to get rid of vertical GPUs for anyone who stops to think about it, but case manufacturers need to push something as "the next big thing" to stop you from keeping your five year old case and reusing it.

    • @jeevana.6391
      @jeevana.6391 5 років тому

      Or maybe, just hear me out now, people have different opinions than you. Not everyone cares about the most efficient packing of components in a system, and even then a lot of cases still allow for multiple PCIe devices to be plugged in along with vertical GPUs. In the end, aesthetics are a huge part of PC building for a lot of people and case manufacturers giving me options is a good thing, kind of like RGB lighting.

    Hey TTL, I really like your content. Good stuff, especially on those pesky Z370 VRM temps. However, can I offer some constructive feedback? Could you please, in addition to the GBP price, maybe mention the USD or EUR price for reference. We, the rest of the world, will be grateful until the end of the days, or the British Empire. ;)

      Not sure there is an empire left tbh. I always try to get both prices but when its an NDA launch sometimes I only get the GBP price the day of the launch let alone being told over seas prices sadly :(
