Laughter is the best medicine. Amen. The time period of Cookie Mueller’s book that includes the 80s and 90s…those are my decades in terms of being a young adult and living through current events of the time. 🥰I have the book coming from the library.

I think we could all take a page from Cookie's book. We take everything so seriously now. I was watching the Warhol diaries and I noticed a distinct difference in the culture back then which was people being silly, campy, having a laugh. It seems like today that feels too risky, which is a weird way to put it, but accurate I think. There's a kind of vulnerability in play and light heartedness
Which is weird because they were dealing with Aids, etc. people were dying left and right. I guess when life is harder you know what should be taken seriously.
