I'm 23 weeks pregnant with a 14 month old and the saving grace for me was a playroom that was completely gated and baby proofed so I had ONE ROOM I knew he'd be safe playing unsupervised. Also easy meals. 😂 We're just surviving for now. Thankful it is just a season.

It’s funny how you are a) pregnant, b) looking after a toddler, c) working from home and still feeling guilty for not being able to keep the house tidy… that’s why I would love to have a second child, but only if this time I could be the father.

Great tips! The fresh air helps with the nausea which is why going outside makes you feel better somehow..

I needed this so much today 😓 thank you. I'm 8 weeks pregnant and my Frist son is 2yo and today was rough. I ended the night in tears, so frustrated and disappointed with myself for how I was with him today. When you talked about the loss of emotional/mental energy and almost feeling like you lost yourself a bit, that's me today. I didn't have the energy to play with him all day today but he was constantly asking me to, which felt heartbreaking. I'm sure I'm just being hard on myself but today it felt like maybe this is just how I am now, but this video was a good reminder that this is a season, we will get through this.

I feel like I totally dropped the ball with household chores. My hubby works overtime everyday so he hasn't always been able to pick up my slack, so dishes are always piled up 😆
I'm 9 weeks now and hoping i'll start feeling like myself again soon.

This video is helpful and practical. I’ve watched maybe 5 surviving the first trimester with a toddler videos and this one was the most practical. 9 weeks pregnant with a 1 year old here. Baby proofing a limiting toys have been a huge help. Luckily husband had been helping with cleaning and cooking as it all sets off my queeziness big time.

Not directly related to this video, but can I request a video about how you budgeted for having a baby? Both in terms of buying all the gear as well as on maternity leave and what ongoing costs to expect. I find there's not much out there on this topic, especially from a Canadian perspective. Thanks!

This is so perfect! I have hyperemesis gravidarum and have been feeling so guilty not being able to do what I normally do. I have had to have family take care of my toddler most days. So hard!

I feel like this video applies to the third trimester too because I felt allllll of this in the first trimester. Second trimester was amazing. And then bammm. Back to feeling like this during the third. No energy. Easy meals. Baby proofing. Having to nap when baby naps. I’m ready to deliver this baby already 😂

I definitely remember feeling better out of the house first trimester too! I think the movement plus the mental distraction was a huge help.
