here's a hack that I still to this day use with my 2 year old. get those mesh bags and store dirty socks in it. the when it's time to wash them throw the bag in. I have NEVER lost a sock doing this. you can use one for Rook too.
I literally just got through the leaking breast milk stage with my daughter and found out that Knix (the brand that’s famous for period underwear) makes a leakproof bra!!! I don’t like lining in my bra so you could always see my breast pads through my shirt which I didn’t love. Wish I knew about the bra sooner so thought I’d share :)
I had a girl and then a boy. We have always purchased a mix of new and used clothes. I handed down maybe a handful of unisex baby items from daughter to son, but son mostly got his own stuff just by virtue of being a boy and quite honestly, my kids are built so differently too. I love your bassinet/crib. I hope it works as well as you're expecting and you should let us know a few months into using it how it's going for you and the baby.

The ubbi diaper pail is great. 1.5y in and it still holds up. The child lock is very handy. If it's a little stinky after throwing the bag out, just leave it to air-out outside for a bit, and it's good as new.
I love my ubbi pail more expense up front but the first 12 months we only spent 10 bucks on bags and we use them else where around the house too. The reoccurring cost of the diaper genie was a big con for me!
There are these boards to put behind the stroller with a seat on, so good for older kids who don't like being stuck in the stroller (>2 year olds are annoying)
I am interested in this bassinet but I keep wondering if it’s difficult to keep blankets,etc from moving into the bassinet from the bed? I always see a photo of it with the bed made but not with how the comforter would be when actually sleeping. Thank you
15 weeks with baby 2 now. We won't be buying much too, loved our cosleeper with our son so will re-use that. By far not as gorgeous as yours though! I also just purchased a little "first" outfit to get that feel, but won't buy as yep, I want to buy stuff if we have a girl and otherwise not really.

Omg i just bought the exact same breast pads! They are great. The bag for the washing mashine is a bit small but i really like them ! Edit: omg i also have the same bassinet!
My mom is buying the babybay bassinet for us but I’m mot sure if we should get the original or the maxi. Both him and I aren’t that tall (5’2” and 5’6”) so I’m wondering if I should pay the difference to get the maxi especially that the description for both the original and the maxi on their website limits the use to about 6 months. Do you have any recommendations?
I watched a few of your videos and I can tell you would not have buy the crib if it wasnt gifted. I can tell it is a good crib and no shade to you but the supplier should have picked someone who would buy the crib with their own money. I have no doubt it is useful but because of this , it doesnt make me want to buy it.

Re: the stroller skateboard thing. I've seen some versions of it with like, a bicycle seat? So they are sitting not standing, but similarly convenient

Maybe we were gifted great hooded towels because my daughters are 3 and 2 and they both still fit in their hooded towels with still room to grow.

I like your idea of a full size towel but the kids ones are so much softer. Would love to know about an adult size soft one.
We got our son the ikea hooded towels which are much larger than the baby ones! He’s still using it at almost 2.

Wait to buy breast pads. Not everyone leaks. Get a good supporting nursing bra and I never had an issue even though I have over supply.

Is Rook still rear-facing or why do you still use a mirror for him? Our son has long outgrown his rear-facing seat 🙈
