I LOVE watching you expose your friends to METAL! 🤘I wish I had friends who hadn't heard this. Yes, he brings the treadmill with him to every concert. Once, I was in the meet & greet room for Ramstein. There was a kid, 13, with cerebral palsy in a wheelchair in the room waiting for an autograph. The lead singer, Till Lindemann, walked over to the wheelchair and got on his knees. His translator stood next to him, and he kept telling this kid how excited he was to meet him & asked him about his life. It was literally moving ❤❤

According to Flake the keyboardist, the stuff that’s all over them is actually instant coffee. He says in one of his books that depending on the ratio of instant coffee to water and how it’s applied, it can look like blood sometimes. He also said that he had to start using a mix of regular and decaf himself because he couldn’t figure out why he was jittery all the time and couldn’t sleep, and they figured out that the caffeine was getting into his bloodstream through his pores.

They fired rockets over our heads in metal wires hitting the mixer tower crew, and then exploded. i was drunk and thought, how is this even legal Roskilde Festival memory for life. And because this is Denmark. and i´m not kidding you or lying. The lead singer Tillerman then pretended to rape a band member with a big Dildo, and squirting foam all over him was priceless. i guess here in Denmark rules don't apply when it comes to music/art. I saw Rammstein live in Portland, Oregon back in 2001. From where we were sitting we could see backstage when the flashing safety lights came on before the explosions triggered so we knew when stuff was getting ready to go down.. They are the only band ever saw that timed their explosions to the beat. Imagine a heavy ass drum intro... but then each drum beat is an explosion. In time. Amazing.

The lead singer Till Lindemann is a poet. Most everything he writes has many meanings and allegories and stuff like that. I believe his dad was also a poet and they grew up in East Germany so you can understand where the anger and angst and heavy metal comes from.

2:41 - "Old school like Linkin Park".. xD Well Rammstein was started two years before Linkin Park, in 1994. ;D

I been at so many Rammstein shows, since late 90's, and never have I've been the slightest disappointed. Even on small stages, they just adjust show and sendit full power for effect.
It's more than good music, it's also reading philosophy, poetry, visiting artgallery and watching a action-movie... at the same time. Every time I've seen a show or watched a video, I can think about and analyse it for weeks after.
for me it's art, I get that from Rammstein often touch the "uuh, almost offended" nerve in me, but served in right way that makes you reflex and go deeper - just like an art piece can do.

Du Hast is not in XXX. Feuer Frei is which is another very fire heavy song. The bands story of that shoot is also amazing. They showed up to do the scene which took multiple takes obviously and didn't have their crew so they had to use the untrained on their gear Prague locals. I wouldn't want a flamethrower attached to my face with people in the back who have no idea how it works safety wise.

Just love how you bring so many other people to react to my all time favorite band! :)
Also, the buff vs skinny concept REALLY comes alive if you've seen the music video of their song "Keine Lust" ;)
The translation of the song can basically break down to when you are to marrige but have second thoughts.. do you really want to commit the rest of your life to this other person? At a wedding you should say yes instead of no -therefor the Yah and Nein in the song because there is a conflict and in my mind I think that's why the song is so great because the sound of Hast (have) or HaSt/hasst (hate) because no, I/you hate you/me and therefor you can't answer it.
Now, how the F they came into agreement that they needed to shoot fireworks across the crowd and EXPLODE the stage is another question -but I guess they just said it at a brainstorming meeting and they were just yah, nein.. yaaaaah!!! And then they did it. :'D

Saw them live 4 times over the last 25 years. Most recently at Soldier Field in Chicago. The show never disappoints. 3 hours of intensity and the best stage show I've had the privilege to see live! Alice Cooper is in second place for that title. And in "XXX" the song is Feuer Frei, not Du Hast. Hoping they swing through at least one more time before retirement as they are all getting up there in age.

They're sweaty because it's hot, with all the fire (they could heat a small town for at least one Winter with the fuel they use in one show)... The stuff on their skin is instant coffee and water, not flame retardant or blood, though sometimes they got small injuries (no fan got injured, the band members did). After several hundred reactions, I'm always waiting for the systematic "is he on a treadmill?" at the beginning; it never disappoints. Somebody should do a compilation of these.

Hello, I have been a Rammstein fan since 2010 and would consider myself an expert. Hopefully this comment will explain some things for you. Firstly, I can assure you that all the fire is 100% real. I've been in the Feuer-zone(front row) 5 times. Unfortunately lightning is not yet a part of their shows. Over the past year I have been following the band around their European tour. This music video for Paris most likely used shots from multiple shows as they usually play in big cities multiple times. The band was formed in the early 1990s and because the band was formed in East Germany their music is inspired by their experiences under the Communist Regime. In 1994 the band won a music festival competition which won them the production of their first album. One of my favourite performances of theirs is of the song 'Mein Teil' which translates to My Part and is about the cannibalism case of Armin Meiwes. When it comes to lyrics I typically find Genius to be a good source for accurate translations. Recently there have been accusations against the lead singer. I don't want to go too far into it but the band has stated that the accusers have their story and the band has theirs. I really hope this cleared up anything that y'all were confused about. Also feel free to ask me any questions, I'd be more than happy to help. Thanks!

I absolutely love, love, love your reactions. Believe me, there are at least 40 other great songs from RS. And every single one is different and unique. If you want more power songs watch "Wollt Ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?" (live., Paris), "Sehnsucht" (live, Moscow 2019 multicam), "Rammlied" (live Madison Square Garden), "Ich will" (live Hurricane Festival 2016), "Du riechst so gut" (live Hellfest 2016), "Deutschland" (official video) ... if you want mature universal songs then watch "Zeit" (official video, just beautiful), "Adieu" (official video) ... if you want creepy songs try "Puppe" (live Gelsenkirchen), "Klavier" (live Berlin), "Mutter" (live Paris) or Mein Herz brennt Piano version) (official video) ... if you want a ballad then watch "Ohne dich" (offical video) ... if you'd like to hear more experimental songs try "Seemann" (official video) oder "Alter Mann" ... they are all sooooo beautiful ... would be a joy to see you react to some of them ...

It gets even more Mad-Max than this during some of their shows. They often have flamethrower-MASKS that band members put on.
ALL of their music videos are wild. Sonne has some Snow White and the seven dwarfs S&M stuff!🤣 Love em!

    Du hast -> you have
Du has(s)t mich -> you hate me

What’s up brother, glad you did a Rammstein review. I’ve been to several live shows and they are THE ABSOLUTE BEST alive show. They have won so many awards for their live shows. If you ever get a chance to go to a live show do it…..you’ll be an instant fan. Been to dozens of live shows and when you leave a Rammstein show you will know the difference!!!!

Ok. Before I get any further into this video... the look on dudes face in thumbnail was exactly mine when I first saw Rammstein in 1998 during the Family Values Tour. The song was
Bück dich. Those who know, know. 🤣
Been a fan ever since and travelled to Germany on my 30th bday JUST to see them live again. 😂👌
Might I add... best show ever besides Slipknot.
And thank you both for even giving this a look because they are some great, artistic musicians!

Here's what's so great about the "Du Hast" lyrics: Hast can mean two things, either "you hate", or "you have", so at the beginning it's "you, you hate, you hate me", and then it changes to "you have asked me".
