Man, if nothing else the foundation has an extremely colorful set of occupational Hazards.
Electrocution or dust inhalation just seems downright tame compared to turning into liquid on the spot.
Having your radio turn into glass, transmuting into a mannequin... All in a day's work, really.

Dust inhalation in the Foundation is probably still a serious problem. It could make you rapidly de/age, de/evolve, eject all your blood from your eyes, collapse you into a singularity, reverse your perception of reality and fiction, give you instant full body cancer, or any number of extremely painful or fatal effects. Just from changing the filter on an HVAC.

Retrocausaly - engineered mean that past events are effected by future events and that its intentional.
Intertemporal either means between 2 times or how current decisions affect what options become available in the future.
Syncronization means operate at the same time or rate.
Noetic means mental activity.
And ordinality means the capacity to place numbers in sequence.
Every time i hear the word "Temporal" I immediately think to myself this is not gonna end well. They always mess with time and it always fails. Part of me feels like they would learn from the past if they would stop screwing it up so much 😂

Let's not forget that all of this started because they thought "Lets take our problems (esoteric waste) and push them somewhere else!" was a good idea. Dougal did this to himself from the very beginning.
The author of this entry certainly had a fun time coming up with the deaths. Never before have I considered the horrific implications of slowly being turned into a glitched wall texture.
"... when I stand in front of the only mirror in site 43, and you won't look at me" nothing to make you feel guilty quite like a super murderous anomaly that takes the shape of your dead brother that wants nothing to do with you.
I remember reading part of this canon some years ago, but I followed a series of links that told the story from Phil's point of view so I somehow skipped the REISNO cannon somehow. This whole tale is very convoluted but quite entertaining, the author is particularly creative in the ways in which the characters meet their end, I remember one being turned into a pile of odd looking lemons just because they took a few steps in the wrong direction during one of the re-enactments of the event and how the Foundation just had to keep containing the piles of lemons every year after that.
Also this canon is generally bonkers even by SCP standards.
“What could go wrong?” says The Foundation, where everything always goes wrong.
I like how this literally connects an alternate On Guard 43 world and the ADMONITION universe which works out for the title in the end lmao

"There is no cannon" is a separate idea relating more to the in-universe meta-awareness that the SCP list describes many different realities. A lot of good SCPs are based on taking wordplay literally when you think about it.

the time leap device is far more practical than the reisno cannon tbh, considering you don't really need to repeat the instructions to your past self to ensure a paradox doesnt occur, its only really limited by how much time you can leap...... a week max kinda ass but oh well.
Wonderful imagination in this one, I think this idea is a brilliant narrative vehicle.

The area of Nchuthnkarst in Blackreach that houses the Clockwork Criterion, on map, looks exactly like the SCP foundation logo, hanging in the air is some sort of multi dimensional Dwarven sphere device at the very center
What I would love to find another SCP that includes a footnote among the lines of: "During the recontainment efforts, a gnarled corpse carrying Dr. McDoctorate's identification was discovered along with wreckage from what appears to be two pieces of machinery. Site personnel have reached out to the doctor to ascertain what he knows about "P.E.E." or a "-SNO CANNON."
How so? Paradox Placeholder is still alive, just transported into ADMONITION

This SCP sounds like a part of the admonition canon but surprisingly it isn't like I checked to see if it was or not and yeah it isn't.
It's one of the things we wrote that ended up informing ADMONITION, and is canonically connected to it. I call it Episode 0 sometimes, and Placeholder tactfully fails to correct me.

Specifically, it reminded me of the Last Great Time War (especially its fanfic depiction) : At the epicenter of the time-paradoxical anomaly, ppl are dying, only to resurrect every year, and when they Don’t die, their personal timelines get corrupted, turning them into homicidal degradations. And when Extra ppl die, time has to be shifted in order to compensate for this, and their deaths have to then be maintained in every cycle, or the paradox will get even more convoluted.

Neat, the SCP foundation got a hold of Hououin Kyouma's time leap machine. Didn't expect a Steins;Gate crossover, but here we are lol
In other words, "7 ate 9." (September is the 9th month, but the word means "seventh month" - September 8th - 9 people die.) Clever recursive theme.
Of course it could also be interpreted exactly the opposite - 9 ate 7 - since everything is reversing directions and maybe thats why the month that means "seventh month" is the 9th month.
Everyone surely knows what 7 represents in these stories.
I guess that I can understand what went on, but I just can't understand why half of that stuff happened? I get that it's SCP but it just takes it so far into randomness. There's involvement from cognitohazards, memetic stuff, a full 001 proposal somehow, on top of things randomly turning into other stuff or coming to life and it just reads like it's trying to be everything at once while using Placeholder as a reason for it. The SCP isn't bad honestly, but it's needlessly complex for my taste

The canon works by reversing a localized 3D region of natural entropy, adjusting coordinates in real time to account for celestial motion through normal time which includes the rotation of the earth itself.
It's tricky, but general relativity allows it (theoretically).
What came first? Therisnocannon or the pegasus mecha with the paracausal gun that exists outside reality and never misses?
