Just come across your channel, great review and compassions. I had a budget solar panel, the worst decision I made, couldn’t keep the battery charged and the beer cold. I’ve since purchased the Bluetti MP200, it’s fantastic in every way.

I really liked this test, we just bought a small caravan and i would love to setup solar with a Bluetti power station, we are limited on weight so i was looking at installing semi flexible on the roof but a good one is about $350.
I thought i would do a cost and rated percentage comparison based on your tests, to equal the field i found kings packages that included solar controllers' and extension lead.
    Kings 120w Blanket $202 - 60% Rated Output - $2.80 Per Watt
    Kings 200w Blanket $229 - 61% Rated Output - $1.87 Per Watt
    Kings 250w Folding $249 - 76% Rated Output - 1.30 Per Watt
    HardKorr 300w Blanket $649 - 63% Rated Output - $3.39 Per Watt
    Bluetti MP200 Semi Folding - $649 + $60 Kings Controller - 96% rated Output - $3.69 Per Watt
Not sure if this helps people decide but you can't beat $1.30 a watt if you can handle the weight and size, the Bluetti even though more expensive i think you are getting much better value

Thanks for this, re-affirms my decision to buy the folding kings one on EOFY sale atm. From my research the bang for back can't be beat currently. The Bluetti at triple the price (1/7/2024) is just not worth it.

My only problem being over in the USA is getting my hands on the King 250 watt fold able suitcase unit ? Also did a quick check on ebay nothing that's a shame say while I have your attention are you ever going to be doing a review on the Bluetti PV 420 watt solar panel ? Dang PV 420 is out of stock in the USA must be pretty good panel !

Thanks for vid Eddie. I recently purchased MP200 on sale for $599, was tossing up with EcoFlow’s 220w bifacial but decided to save myself $150 and pair bluetti panel with an A70 power station. I think ecoflow and renogy panels would be good to review. Cheers

Hey mate, could be a couple of things, firstly most lithium battery systems will slow down their charge speed after 80% state of charge. So if the battery is say 36% it should charge faster than on 97%. It could also be ambient temperature, the BMS (battery management system) will also slow the charge if the unit is too hot in an effort to preserve the life span on the battery. Also make sure the unit isn't set to silent charge which can also slow the speeds

I don’t know why more people aren’t suggesting buying 2 cheap panels and running them in parallel. For example 2 cheap kings 120w in parallel can still pull good amps for just over $200

Not a bad idea mate, I think the only draw back would be if there was a fault in one, or one wasn't producing much voltage, it would adversely affect the total input.

My Bluetti MP200 panel never produced more than 140-145W on a cold winter sunny day in Sydney. On summer, the max under the direct sun you can get is ~120W. It loses efficiency due to heat a lot. Bad choice The review is not accurate
