Hi Jim, thanks for the video. I have one of the first gen MS261CM saws, with the flat/horizontal cooling fins and old style clutch cover. As opposed to this newer version with the sloped cooling fins. Do you happen to know if the fuel solenoid is the same for the first gen as the second gen models? Cheers mate
@@peterprasad3766 I’d replace to solenoid and filter as you would the spark plug after a rebuild. Will it draw fuel once it starts, or does it just die?

HI , great info video, is there any way to test the fuel selonoid, i just rebuilt a 261c , will not start but does with quick start fluid, any ideas ?
