I noticed the car bogging down twice during launch control. I learned in my own Porsches that you must turn off Porsche’s version of traction control when performing launch control in order to be sure that the car won’t bog down on initial launch. A number of other UA-cam drivers say the same thing as do some Porsche sales personnel-even though the owner’s manuals don’t mention that step.
I’ve got a good friend who dad has this car. (We sail together), every time his dad picks him up and speeds away with that sound it gets me 🥹🥹🥹, so jealous
If I am not mistaken, this GT pack is available because the GT isn't available in Europe due to emission regulations. I do feel like this is the perfect car for me. I was looking at the previous generation and the EV only range was maybe half of this. Getting around 40 miles is a lot better for picking up kids, heading down to the store, or just being around the neighborhood. I just wish I could afford the price tag. The other e-hybrid models are OK looks wise. None of them compare to how this looks. Curious if this has the Start/Stop on all the time, until you turn it off under vehicle settings.
The turbo GT feels completely different. Much more nimble, much faster. The handling between the two cards is not comparable. The turbo SE hybrid is 600 pounds heavier than a turbo GT, that’s why it can’t accelerate anywhere near as quickly or handle like it. You want a three second Cayenne, it’s the turbo GT.
He stated it was the “Ultimate SUV”. He never talked about the storage, cargo capacity and/or if it could go off-road. IF I were to purchase an ULTIMATE SUV it better have enough capacity & be able to go off-road for that’s price.
Porsche could have done themselves a favour and integrated an actual tachometer in the middle of the gauge cluster and given it some buttons for heating, volume etc. Also, in terms of launching this car, if it has been run-in yet, it won't give you the full launch capability.
Porsche is suffering profit loss, yet we keep making SUVs priced at 200k that 100 folks will buy. Make this make sense.

Traction was off! I followed a specific set of instructions from my Porsche rep to get the best launch.

Cool story, brah….
Got to love the Porsche engineering.
Miles with this economy and new year can we get another affordable cars list 5-10k???
Great review! Instructional and entertaining. Thanks.
“This car as optioned sits at $195,000 which is substantially cheaper than a Turbo GT” 😂 I stopped watching after this ludicrous statement.
Lmaoo... at $195k, money isn't an issue. You might as well get the big kahuna.

Yep, The Turbo GT was canned in Europe for emissions. Hopefully they don't do the same in the US.
Can't get the 2+1 in the GT trim which is a shame ....
