It's true. I'm 68 years old. During my years of work & raising my son's I put my guitar away. I came back to and tried to learn scales. I saw this course and it was fun & made me feel I was learning the guitar & making a bit of music
Man I’ve been addicted to learning again! Thanks so much for your time and effort in putting these lessons to together! I still have a lot of practicing to go but it’s very inspiring to watch myself really get to know the fretboard. It’s starting to feel like my own backyard instead of staring into the Amazon!
A great conclusion to yet another brilliant tutorial from Prokopis ..... Let's hope Prokopis get's an early Christmas present of "1,000 Subscribers" !!!!!
Hi! I really enjoyed this Modes Crash Course. Am I right that I can not see the lessons in my String Systems free course surroundings? I was looking for the free download package that you mention in this video, and thought you meant that place to look for it, but I have not been able to find it... Can you advise me?
Hello! I don't offer this series as a mini course package any more (I'm actually planning to release a new version). You can still find the lessons on the String blog: string.systems/blog/sfs-modes1 You can also check out SFS Fretboard Secrets, which covers more applications of the String Fragment System: string.systems/sfs-fretboard-secrets-2.0
I really don't understand why most musicians don't like the Locrian mode they seem to dismiss it as a don't go there mode a bit like the diminished chord, personally, I think it sounds awesome
Hello, and thanks for your interest in my lessons! There are 2 ways to get SFS Modes: 1. Get the standalone stream / download package ($80) 2. Get the EMP monthly subscription ($20/mo) which gives you unlimited streaming access to all my premium courses. More info for both options here: www.effectivemusicpractice.com/sfs-modes-crash-course/sfsmcc4/
This system allows mastery of the modes by using a few critical key concepts that are presented in a format that is understandable and digestible. Building knowledge and skills on a step by step basis. SFS can save years of unproductive practice and turn practice time into LEARNING time.
@@Effectivemusicpractice Thank you very much. I am learning so much from your instruction. I'm in the process of deciding which of the courses to purchase. I was really struggling trying to put all the boxes and shapes together and trying to remember which one I should use at various places on the fretboard. The SFS has helped so much. I no longer have to remember which box or shape I'm in. Just find a root note and go from there. Thanks.
Hmm.. I should have updated my links since these videos were released some time ago 😀. Here's the link to the subscription, and thank you very much for the support! - courses.string.systems/p/pps
Did I understand it right, with the 20$ monthly subscription you get unlimited access to everything on your page including future material? Or is there anything which is not included?
Thank you for your interest in my lessons. Yes, you got it right. The Practice Partner Subscription gives you access to everything, including future releases. Btw, for courses that come out while you are a subscriber, you also get the download version. You can get all the details here: bit.ly/2rSKTuz
So do you think that perfect pitch can actually be learned? I think it can because of neuroplasticity. I don't think it has to be developed at adolescence. I think it's like learning a new language. It's easier for a young, growing brain because it's a "clean slate" but adults can do it too.

I can't find the link to the download package for this lesson, which includes the "Stage 2 - Building the system backwards."
Hello Dana. I just added the Mini Course to your account. You'll see it next time you log in. It includes a PDF for each lesson 👍.
