Classic Mini Restoration

And Here you will be able to follow my classic mini restoration from start to finish! It is an Austin Mini Mayfair 998cc registered in 1986. I bought the car with 2 months MOT and it was running although the slave cylinder had gone. My plans for the car are to restore it to my standards just like my Orange one if not even better... if thats possible. Why do you want to hide your tow ball? I'm proud of mine and want it on full display. It is also good protection from minor rear end shunts.
Haha! I agree! The reality is I think they look shite so I love the fact I can remove it and you don’t know it’s there 😂
Any idea what the tow ball height was?
I would expect that the diffuser with the hitch fitted is under duress while bent and therefore a long journey will cause it to snap as you go over bumps - I would leave the diffuser as it is and remove it completely when using the tow bar - you took it off easily enough to modify it
where did yo get the towbar from. Im daft, but what Is a "shelf bumper"? as they say must have.

Use a bit of 1500 grit wet and dry on mine it gets them nice and clean... for about a day 😂
Hello. Realise this might be old hat, but did you need the 'software update'? Witter charge extra for this or is is just a setting on the car or available in VCDS? Cheers for the vid!

Hey, when you bought this, did it come with the power socket or was this seperate, i have an audi a4 s-line and id rather not have a towbar on all year around, we have just bought a caravan and im not interested in loosing alot of my honeycombe either. the witter site given me a quote of £600 plus to have this fitted

Put a westfalia detachable on my mk7 GTD & even with a cut underneath you can’t tell anything when it’s off.👍🇬🇧

Hi mate, I notice you fitted a witter vs westfalia, I’m looking to do same for MK7 GTD. With the witter did you need less of a bumper cut and avoided the main dealer replacement trim?

That removable hitch is nice, are the gti's allowed to tow tho? Some things like M3's, skoda VRS's, clio CUP's etc arent allowed to tow because of the lighter shells etc? P.s see you @ I.m.m..
