***** BTW I mean no disrespect to those Scientologists who are basically the unwitting victims of a scam, and there are a lot of those. My housemate is one who actually had the strength of mind to escape. I actually feel sorry for John Travolta. People like Miscavige, however... There is no dungeon - sorry, "Rehabilitation Project" - deep enough for those guys.

Too bad Scientology would not let him, give his son medication for epilepsy. No wonder his son died. I have epilepsy from brain tumors. Some of them have been removed, but not all. I still have to take medication. If I didn't take medication I would have seizures. He looks sad, no matter what he is saying, his face does not look happy.

His breathing is off like he is terribly nervous and it seems so telling if one reads between the lines about his view of real villians being charming. It certainly doesn't seem as if he's referring to himself, but perhaps giving a fairly bold message about his true feelings of Miscavage or Scientology if the whole "black press pack" thing is true and he's trapped. He just has always seemed like a stand up, nice guy. Maybe that is just my feelings making wishes, but it just seems like he's a fearful good guy in a rotten situation. I haven't seen the documentary, but did read the book and perhaps he will do one of the two and have his eyes opened to the atrocities that happen to the "ordinary" members of Scientology and not just see the beautiful star treatment that he and a handful of others get to enjoy. This "religion" is some of the scariest stuff I have ever read about.

sympathize for John. His "religion" has told him that the evil outside world has pulled a veil over his eyes while in reality, Scientology has. His religion has told him to "think for himself", while at the same time mentally manipulating him into not watching or reading, least of all believing anything in the least bit critical of his religion.
When you are trying to be a good person and you cannot see the evils being done to you and your Scientology "guardians" are telling you that the rest of the world is evil and corrupt ("suppressive") it is very hard to escape from the mental confines. You leave all your friends, connections and way of life behind. It is very hard to believe and accept that your precious organization could be so capable of using you, so corrupt and so messed up. They fully convince you of the idea that anyone who attacks Scientology is the most evil piece of trash in existence, a so called "suppressive person". Sounds pretty ridiculous now but it is very hard to imagine the extent and power of this belief if you never experienced it. Fully leaving mentally could take years . I consider myself very lucky.

I agree John Travolta is a great guy and a very nice human being (every ex-Scientologist will attest to that), but it goes deeper than this video. Celebrities like Travolta and Tom Cruise literally have 24/7 "staff" (slaves) who are dedicated scientologists. They literally sign 1-billion year-long contracts to do everything, EVERYTHING, LITERALLY, their Scientologist superiors say, They cater their every need and do everything they can to make sure they'll never come across someone like Leah Remini or another Scientology-designated "SP". John Travolta hit it on the head when he said as an actor he is isolated. Scientologists provide him with a ready made family/ social organization that gives him human contact in a very protective and dedicated way. This is what scientologist do for celebrities, they also provide some "counseling" where the actor can process their thoughts as they would with a friend, having unconditional positive regard in a way, through auditing. The big problem is that celebrities have little reason to look deeper at what scientology really does, just what they know.. They also have to be strong people within themselves to look "behind the scenes" of what scientology is for them, but scientology takes the person away and makes people dependent on scientology. They are really lost as people afraid to have their own thoughts or to speak out. Many can't afford to look until they are put in a situation where they can't afford not to look.

Also those girls were running the same Milwaukee batteries on brand new drills, a grinder and a sawzall. This interview isn't about Scientology or Catholicism. Very misleading title.
I think this is one interview John didn't really want to do. Perhaps it was the interviewer he lacked rapport with.

Travolta would love to leave Scientology. However he is trapped by what he has revealed in his secretly recorded audit sessions.
Here he is cryptically telling the audience how he feels about David Miscavige. 5:26

Any other parent who had a child die directly due to withholding of a life saving medication would be held accountable and even may see jail time at the least have a few go arounds with FPS and CPS. His son had no seizures while on his medicine scientology put preasure on him about the use of pharmaceuticals. They stopped all meds. One night while taking a shower he had a gran mauhl seizure cracked his head and died. In one interview he smugly and happily makes a comment about all the lives lost to big pharma a few years before his son died. How does one go on in life knowing your actions directly caused the death of your child...and if it were you or me who did this there would be a witch hunt and possible legal action. Yet he pops out another kid. Also he is clearly under the influence in this video. I find it hard to believe that these actors really believe the nonsense that is Scientology.

Not sure when this video was done, but this doesn't look like John Travolta to me. John is a lot older than this now, unless it was done 20 years ago and he doesn't really talk like John Travolta. Not saying it isn't him, but I'm not sure it is really John Travolta.

    Was L. Ron Hubbard charming?

    • @blud63
      @blud63 9 років тому

DivinityPlace Not to most sane and rational people, but apparently he was to some. Look up Barbara Klowden (Hubbards Ex-PR assistant and lover) she talks a lot about him as a person from being close up with him, and she repeatedly claims how charming he was, and also admits he was a mentally messed up dude but she still loved'em and that he totally needed psychiatric help (and is probably why scientology is so anti-psychiatry honestly) it was an interesting interview to say the least. I also hear the word get bandied around by a lot of his older, male followers that were with him from the beginning. The channel/people that did the interview with that lady also interview a LOT of his inner circle, his peers and his competitors and early detractors. Good research materials for all of us anti-scilons.

I was referring to what John said around the 5.27 minute marker about how he likes to play villains and that in real life villains are kind of charming.

    • @blud63
      @blud63 9 років тому

Yeah, I'm sure John did find him to be charming. He was definitely a villain that's for sure lol. Either way though, was just passing some info I'd found on to ya and anyone else that might be reading the comments and stuff. I found the interviews with those older folks that were there in the beginning to be fascinating. I like interviews like that, and is why I watched this Travolta interview too and wanted to add some discussion about it. :) I totally feel that Travolta had a lot of coded language going on in this interview. He was definitely talking about Miscavige and Hubbard and others with what he was saying, for sure. I just wish he'd totally come out with it all and just get it over with, I'm sure most of us would support him a lot more than we currently do with him in. Who knows though... either way, best wishes.

I appreciated your input and further insight. I live in Ocala where John lives, I've seen him and his wife Kelly numerous times. People would be more supportive than they realise if they did decide to change their story on Scientology and their life preferences, he is well loved in this town however I read that the Scientology premises had their windows put in as soon as they opened.

I do NOT know anything about Scientology.
But i DO know alot about Christianity.
Regarding Christianity and the Bible here is my view.
The Bible does indeed contain some excellent teachings but it is certainly NOT a perfect book.
If the Bible is the perfect word of God then it should NOT contain any mistakes at all - even mistakes by men!
The very fact that the Bible contains inconsistencies means that is is NOT perfect.
The basic teachings of the texts are actually very good.
But the execution of those texts is flawed.
Here is one such example that Malcom X gave in the 1960's where he pointed out certain errors in the Bible.
Malcom X pointed out in the 1960's that in
Acts chapter 1 it states that Judas Iscariot died because he fell down on the ground and subsequently burst his intestinal organs open.
But in Matthew chapter 27 it states that Judas hanged himself.
Thats one of many mistakes in the Bible that Malcom X pointed out in the 1960's.
Evangelical Christians will spin "tailor made" explanations to account for inconsistencies in the Bible AFTER THE FACT.
The fact is that the inconsistencies are still in the Bible and still require extreme Verbal gymnastics to explain them.
Some Christians explain Bible inconsistencies by comparing them to differences in modern day crime scene testimonials.
This is stupid as the Bible deals with the most important things in history - such as the establishment of Gods hebrew laws and the latter Resurrection of Christ -
so it should be COMPLETELY 100% ACCURATE.
Crime scene testimonials have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on global world humanity so this particular analogy used by evangelical Christians is flawed.
Verbal gymnastics aka "apologetics" is exactly the methodology employed by evangelical Christians to explain their Bible.
Muslims employ the same type of Verbal gymnastics to defend stuff in their koran - so dont worry people - its not just Christian folk.
In fact, Muslims are probably worse than Christians for this type of behaviour.
All so called "holy" religions have their own scholarly gymnasts to defend their so called
    "holy" books.
Research the Jewish talmud everyone and you will see the disgusting things the Jews say about Jesus and Mary and gentiles in general.
But guess what folks, they also use their own clever brand of Verbal gymnastics to defend their so called "holy" books just like the Muslims and Christians do.
In fact, the Jews are probably even better at Verbal gymnastics than the Muslims and Christians, seeing as Jews are the real source of the so called "Abrahamic" religions.
Just like the so called "Abrahamic" religions,
all the other world religions will contain elements of truth mixed with fiction - this just comes with the whole territory.
Just accept it folks and use with the "good stuff" in all these various religions in the world - and leave all the other things in these various religions that dont fit alone.
In fact, this applies to the Muslims and the Jews - aswell as Christians and indeed every other religion on the planet.
Face it folks, all these religions are as bad as each other.
Religious folk should learn to Improve their social tactics and they will go alot further with the young generation today.

John always comes across as a decent, intelligent human being. He's been very successful but has had much sorrow in his life. If Scientology helps him find a peaceful balance then good for him. No one is in a position to judge.

He speaks so softly. The 1st time I ever saw him was as Vinnie Barberino, in Welcome Back Kotter, he doesn't mention that. At about 5:30 mins. he speaks of evil people in his life. Makes you think he's speaking of those in Scientology. His looks have drastically changed through the yrs. He use to be so handsome, he no longer is.

Without illusion, conflict is impossible. What are illusions ? All what you think and say are illusives. We invented words to project all illusions we can from an ego. You are upset because you see what is not there.

  • @gerardlefrancois4746
    @gerardlefrancois4746 9 років тому

    Without illusion, conflict is impossible.
Just try to understand this for a change.
Who would defend himself unless he thought he were attacked, that the attack were real, and that is own defense could save himself ??? And herein lies the folly of defense; it gives illusions full reality, and then attemps to handle them as real. It adds illusions to illusions thus making correction doubly difficult. And it is this you do when you attempt to plan the future, activate the past, or organize the present as you wish.
