My friends and I got one of the later bookings in the evening when we went. You could tell he was exhausted but there was not a time he wasn't smiling and full of energy when cooking for us. He's a truly special person.

The most satisfying moment was when he cut the omelet with a knife and the half-cocked egg yolk flowed out like lava coming from a volcano. He made everything look so easy, but it was by no means easy, for I had seen other people making Omurice and not that many people could do it as skillfully as this guy did. I cannot tell the taste by just watching the video, but what I can say is that this guy's cooking does not only demonstrate skills, but is also entertaining -- it was just fun to watch him cook. This video is several years old. I hope that as of today, the restaurant is still in business -- this Omurice chef deserves it.
We can tell that this guy has been doing this for his whole life. He knows exactly how much the rice, the egg, the timing to flip the egg etc. The result is always perfection.

I’ve tried to make my own omurice countless times, and I can recall 2 occasions where I didn’t absolutely destroy it and still those 2 servings paled in comparison to what this man does. It really is a simple recipe but the skill in execution it takes is INSANE! Pretty sure the only way to get it as good as this master does as consistently as he does is to make it multiple times a day every day for a couple decades😂😭
@@faisfaizal5194 Well, from what I could see he uses high quality japanese eggs. They're healthy and very orange. And the egg has been put, maybe multiple times through a sieve. The egg sludge looks very even, and fresh.

Great video!!! All the other omurice videos I've seen have cooks dishing omelets (just the eggs) onto friend rice. This is the first I've seen where the chef puts the rice into the omelet, making it a true omelet :) Thank you for showing us how it's done

For real, it looks easy but the skill required is beyond INSANE.
Getting the appearance right would take years of practice, but you could at least get the taste pretty close if you know what you're doing.

Great video!!! All the other omurice videos I've seen have cooks dishing omelets (just the eggs) onto friend rice. This is the first I've seen where the chef puts the rice into the omelet, making it a true omelet :) Thank you for showing us how it's done

@@Really_andrew i dont know what you mean, so im going to reiterate what i just said, if he finds joy in being able to relate to something he likes ... like animes, let him do as he wills. You don't have to ruin his imagination and what he found fascinating by relating the two things. If you can't find the relation between the two, then keep it to yourself... Infact its normal that someone who is not from Japan would look for similarities between Japan and animes. So thats his thing and you do your thing, noone cares.
