Actually if you keep the krogans weapon's mod when doing the smuggling side mission, after completing Noveria and you're squad team debrief if you go back to the port he will try to kill you since you kept his weapon.
Man, I didn't even know you COULD go to the hotlabs before facing Benezia, much less about Ventralis' betrayal. I think I'm going to try this on my next play-through.
It results in most of the science team that you would see around if you don't to die also all of the guards become hostile when you return and will try to kill you.
What they say has alot of variation. But one way its figured it which squad member is picked first. Among several others like your own paragon/renegade standing, how youve interacted with that specific character in the past (in this case wrex) and options youve chosen in the dialog in question.
You can take Tali to Noveria as well and after finishing off the Geth and the Captain asks how they got in, she will tell her how they could have gotten past the scans. Minor but still important piece of dialogue. Also did we get a bi*ch counter for Wrex?
I remember when I was younger I hated this mission, now that I'm older I really wish most ME missions in the whole trilogy were like Noveria. One of the best ME missions easily.
I didn't know about Ventralis' betrayal of Shepherd, I usually miss that because I take the maintenance tunnel after helping the good doctor with the cure.
I love the Noveria mission for this. You've tons of ways of completing both Hanshan and Peak 15. On Peak 15 especially, I never seem to remember how I like to do things and always end up making different choices. Which is a testament to the missions flexibility.
I hacked this door while wandering around the last time I played and got attacked by everyone. I thought that I'd messed up so after killing literally everyone and everything I restarted the mission and followed the storyline only to find that they were all working for Benezia and attacked me anyway.
You can also bring it to Anoleis and he'll grant you clearance for that as well. It's the fastest way to get to the next mission part if you're speedrunning.
There is also a way to max out paragon or renegade by speaking to Lorik, just repeat the conversation over and over, talk about something else like asari matriarch and return to the conversation, using paragon/renegade option.
Man, Inamorda is not useless. He's the contact to which the hanar shopkeeper delivers the package. I was looking for him last week to find what special dialogue you have with him if you directly deliver the package to him. Now I have to wait for another run to get that, thanks for locating him though. And really, there is no useless person in this game, least of all named, you just have to have the right way to talk to them
2:07 you can also get infinite paragon or renegade points with his dialogue options. If you ask him to testify, exit the dialogue, ask him about benezia, then ask about something else you can trigger the "ask to testify" prompt again. Thus infinite virtue points. However you need to at least have enough points to get either of the options.
Same! Been playing this game for 6+ years and never realized you could somehow do "both". I always just activated the neutron purge and ran like hell to the shuttle or train or whatev
I'm replaying through the 360 versions and watching your videos to hold me over till I can afford the legendary edition. I love this series so much, I didn't know several of these
I used to hate Noveria, it was my least favorite main mission during ME1, but with time and exploring a little more you can see that you have different options how to deal with stuff and that's made it satisfying
What many people don't know is that in ME1 that vehicle in the garage that you see abandoned all over the place, you can get into it. It works as an immobile mako turret.
Just wanted to say, I've been watching your videos over the last week or so since I finished the Legendary Edition. I'm a big fan of all your videos, including the non Mass Effect ones. I hope your channel takes off as you are making great content here. Here's to your continued growth as a channel. I wish you nothing but the best.
Well bro I have actually explored all these choices because I kind of did play ME like a million times 😁 but the first thing you showed about maximizing our gain by playing around... I had not tried that particular one 😅 Thanks for sharing this one bro 👍😁
How was your Noveria visit by now, Yuri Alexandre? Did you have a good time there? Or did you have to shoot your way out like apparently so many other Mass Effect players?
Interresting. I didnt know many of These Ways. I always ends with the least bloodsheed way. I always go from the Lab over the small Ice tunnel too Benezia and doing the neutrom Purge at last 0.o
Back when Mass Effect originally came out and I managed to snag a copy online somewhere back on Noveria I kept seriously wondering why *EVERYONE* turned hostile to me after going in the back way. When I did another playthrough playing much more intelligently I did that extra stuff to get through the Maintenance area. I was genuinely surprised at just how radically different those two approaches are.
I remember doing the stuff as far as going to the hot labs and everything else thinking I missed something. Appreciated you showed the extra details that are provided
Exactly, telecaster458. Though Noveria has become my first mission in all of my playthroughs. Specifically because of all the huge chunks of Paragon or Renegade points you can very easily accrue here.
I definitely learned a few things! I like to rat out Opold as it's the quickest way to get a garage pass. Likewise in Peak 15 I always hack the door and shoot my way thru. LOL. I can't leave that planet fast enough.
That guard outside the room where you make the cure, he doesn’t always get back up to fight you, just sticks around as a persistent enemy no matter how much you shoot at him. You can either ignore this and keep going, or on my last playthrough I discovered you can blow him up with combined biotic/tech powers and he will finally die.
Noveria is one of my favorite planets in the Mass Effect series. Not because the story of this planet is absolute ground breaking or anything, but I love the concept of a planet that's sort of neutral territory for corporate research and development. It'd be an interesting setting for a story about corporate espionage and conspiracies. It's a shame BioWare didn't expand more of it to delve into the sort of sordid secrets the other corporations get into.
Inamorda is the krogan Opold the Hanar running the shop which asks Shepard for help with getting the mod he is selling past customs. If you ask him who the recipient of the mod is he will tell you its the Krogan by the name of Inamorda. You can keep the mod and negotiate with Inamorda directly in which I believe he gives you 750 credits for the mod instead of the max of 500 if you give it to Opold.
Is this LE thing? Doors to survivors were locked from both ends for me after paragonpathto Benezia (helping the underqualified medic). Didn't even know, about Captain Ventralis, just heard after that the survivors were extracted and the traumatized Volus wrote a letter in ME2.

For anyone interested, you can sell the smuggled mod to the krogan for renegade points, give to the merchant for paragon points, or if you have enough paragon/renegade points you can take it to anoleis for a pass, the mod itself, and an xp boost. You unfortunately dont get paragon/renegade points for that last option, at least as far as I know. I made a save and then tried each option to weigh which one was worth more to me. In the end I chose the merchant, purely because anoleis is trash. I dont even care if I'm spelling his name wrong. It's good to find out he can die!
Inamorda can buy the mod instead of the jellyfish. You have to get the name of the buyer's by a charisma check first the go directly to him instead of giving the mod to the hanar
