My boyfriend has gluten intolerance, so he can't have regular pasta dough, so I'll have to try this with gluten-free flour and xantham gum. I do have a pasta machine, so maybe I could make it work. If not, I'll just make it for myself and he can just eat a box of Annie's gluten free mac and cheese lol. Love you so much!
@@hilahcooking It worked!!! If any GF cooks are watching, the trick is to parboil the GF noodles before adding them to the soup. Otherwise they will not cook through and they'll be doughy.
Hilah, you're right about the turmeric at the beginning. The most active ingredient in it is curcumin, which is a very strong antioxidant and a powerful anti-inflammatory. The piperine in black pepper essentially "aggravates" it, making it even more powerful and easier to absorb. Curcumin is also fat soluble, so it's best with fatty meals such as chicken soup! (Personally, I'd take turmeric supplements.) And there's so much more! I f**king love spices.
I've found growing green beans if you pick them early they don't really have a string but if you let them sit on there long enough to get larger than usual they will develop a tough string you have to pull off. Sometimes the entire shell could be tougher too.
I watch a fair amount of educational crap on YT so when I need a few laughs in addition to swell info, Hilah you are my go to gal. I love your deadpan comic delivery. Very glad you're back in action! Salud
You should check out the Philips Pasta Maker if you are hesitant to make the noodles from scratch, it's sooooo easy. It comes with two measuring cups, one you fill twice with flour, the other you drop in an egg, then fill to the top with water. Put into the machine,. turn on, you're done.

Where do you get your vegetarian eggs for your vegetarian noodle soup? Just kidding. I love meat and vegetables. My Mom made homemade noodles all the time when we were kids. It looks so simple I might just have to do that myself instead of buying them big fat homemade noodles from the store.
