Fabulous video Mads. I had the privilege of living in Antarctica for 2 years way back in the 1970s. I travelled all over and photographed a lot but you got whales! I never saw a single one. Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories for me.
The Whale fluke shot is superb Mads, I remember my first and only encounter photographing Humpbacks last year out of Husavik, Iceland and how happy I was to get some fabulous images very similar to yours. It was a moment that will stay with me for life and the highlight of the whole trip 🐋 I felt very privileged to be there amongst such incredible wildlife. Antarctica is stunning, thanks for taking us there 👌👍
It was an extraordinary adventure and I'm Happy you shared It with us ... These landscapes are wonderful not only for the enormous icebergs and mountains but also for wildlife, above all those adorable penguins (I love how they walk)... .thank you again for sharing and compliments for video, photos and precious advises about how to photograph this fantastic white paradise 🏆👏👏👏👏🔝👍
Mads, what an incredible episode, your skills of working in such a dynamic environment really have shown through and its been a real pleasure to see this majestic part of the world through your eyes and lens. Im sure next week's episode will be an epic one too and I for one can't wait to see it
I love the whale's tail photo, its beautiful. I also love the fuzzy seal the photos were amazing. Who am I kidding I find all of your photos to be so wonderful to look at. You are such a great photographer.
Brilliantly captured Mads - so good to see your side of the adventure! As you put it in the video, I’m very jealous of your whale photo and you seeing that!!
Magnificent video and photos. To help with sea sickness, wear 1 ear plug in the opposite ear to your dominant hand. Wear it all the time you're on the boat, and you shouldn't get sick again. I've just come back from Tasmania, sailing on the SOT each way and doing some of the adventure cruises there, I didn't get sick once. It's also worked for me up on the Great Barrier Reef. Hope it works for you.
Some awesome photos from Antarctica - my favourite is the wider image of the schooner in front of the glacier. I would love to join a tour to Antarctica but I'm struggling in my mind with its environmental impact. Bit of soul-searching required on my part!
You’ve excelled yourself again, the photos/video is fantastic, you take us to places that a lot of us can only dream of. love the shot of the whale tail
Fantastic trip, stunning photos, a trip that few have the privilege of being able to take, congratulations on the photos and the video of the experience is simply fantastic.😀👏👏👏
I’m so glad to see you went to my last continent to do some photography, where I will be completing it end of December or January. Question, do I need to keep my camera on action mode to capture good picture while on a moving boat, zodiac or movements on the wild life during their jump and swim? As I am a Mickey Mouse photographer, I want to capture beautiful scenery and wildlife too for myself. Can we bring my tripod for this expedition or is it restricted. Thanks for the beautiful video, I love it.❤
Truly outstanding! While „epic“ is getting a bit inflationary, here it is sooo justified. Excellent video, thanks for this. After seeing all the images from the zodiacs, couldn’t help to wonder how many gazillion images you had to go through, culling and curating. Again, I guess competence, luck and dedication came together. 👏✅👍
hello there. i tried to purchase your Iceland photography travel map. but while payment, i found my country Bangladesh 🇧🇩 is not listed. so i can't input my billing address. can you please add Bangladesh?
Lovely images and video. Can i ask if the trip organisers made any mention of avian flu which has sadly reached penguin colonies in South Georgia and any precautions that visitors should take to avoid spreading the virus?
Yeah, they're super careful about those things and we were quite limited as we couldn't put anything down on the ground and had to keep a distance of 5 meters to the penguins. Likewise did we disinfect the muckboots before we exited and entered the ship.
Can you add a ballpark figure to your Antarctica survey. I would love to do it but imagine it would be way out my price range so would be wasting your time if I signed up. TIA

It makes me want to go there.
Very nice Mads.
did you share your photo with the sailboat crew?
Amazing images. I'm just wondering how much money a trip like that costs.
The polarizer did not remove the reflections from the mountain as they are far from Brewster's Angle. Check Wikipedia ...

How do you keep your camera batteries from draining so fast in the cold?
Wonderful Mads ❤
Nice 👌❄️
If I win the lottery I am coming, sadly probably won’t happen. Great video thanks

@@MadsPeterIversen thats great to hear, thank you 👍
Amazing
RIP Alyn
The pole was reached in 1911, not 1914. It was on December 14th, maybe that’s the 14 you were thinking of?
Yeah, you're totally right, might have mixed that 14 up when I wrote the script 🤦♂️
That whale fin photo 🎉🎉🎉
Can you add a ballpark figure to your Antarctica survey. I would love to do it but imagine it would be way out my price range so would be wasting your time if I signed up. TIA
A few different factors play in on the price but excluding plane tickets to/from Punta Arenas it's around $15000.
I’m personally very interested in visiting Antartica! My wallet, however, is not. Very jealous and great vid.
Phenomenal trip, I had a blast and this video shows me all the things I missed by being on other zodiacs. 2026 you say?! 🤔😂
Said the one who captured the happy seal 🦭 😂
🌹🌹🌹🌹
I mean how much this sort of trip bloody costs. ? Must be a fortune.
i am the first viewer , i am proud of it buddy

I received an email from you I suppose. However I’m unfamiliar to reply back to your response to my comment below. Help me!
terrible how much CO2 has been pumped into the air by a bunch of youtubers because they wanted to take photos of penguins. next time go to the zoo
