Exceptional photos James, breathtaking scenery. I live above the arctic circle, so I'm eager to see the snow melt. We've had snow here since the end of September, but your photos are beautiful and peaceful.
what a beautiful video. James, I have watched more than 50 of your videos by now, but this is the best collection of photos I have seen from you. Just incredible. i was like WOWWWWWWWW the whole time
No comment... in a positive way though, because sometimes making a forced comment results in saying something everyone else does, but for me, I have no comment because I literally have no words to describe the beauty of Antarctica. Thank you for the video and taking us on this journey with you James! Always love your videos.
You're so lucky to be able to travel to places like this, and immerse yourself in their beauty, doing something you love. The red shed and penguins is sublime!
I'm often blown away and inspired by your photos, but these are my favourite that you have ever taken. I now have a desperate need to head to "the end of the world"!
11:00 I suspect that the 50mm FL feels most natural because we tend to look at photographs from a distance from which they occupy about the same FOV as a 50mm captures. Also, I believe that actually, and paradoxically, we tend to lean closer in to more telephoto shots and step back a bit in front of wider angle images, and this makes them feel, of course, less realistic but somehow more manageable psychologically.
Unlike some other UA-cam content, that was 17 mins very well spent. Thanks so much for posting it! Doing a trip in October so am very glad I came across your vid. 👏👍
Most excellent video sir! I loved the whale fluke with the sea, clouds and mountains. I also loved the red building with the penguins at the end. Another red building for your collection!
Stunning images from a truly amazing place! Makes you appreciate the world we live in more! Love the image with the penguins in front of the red hut and the lonely penguin on the iceberg! 📸🙂
Fascinating video; subscribed! The images of the seal @ 5:20 and the seal and penguins @ 5:24 are my personal favorites. And Just when you had me thinking I might be capable of going on a photography excursion in Antarctica, you jumped into the water and brought me back to reality. I be shivering at that thought for days!
Amazing opportunity. Crazy to think that these days we can shoot off over there to do little photography trips. Gone are the days when it was a location for seasoned explorers, often with tragic outcomes.
Love it James, very jealous! Bit disappointed with the sixth seal on the ice flow, remembering your 'odd number rule' but obviouly no rifle to hand? Martyn
Certainly not not a trip you’ll soon forget James. Glad you managed to get so many stunning images. Thanks for sharing again, and the waffle was just fine. Stay safe 🇦🇺
Hey James, awesome video! I really love your lamps in the background. Perticularly the cold one that lights up sime pictures. Would you mind to share what lamp that is? I would love such a lamp to highlight my prints.
Those blues and cyans are breathtaking. Priceless hues for want of a better description. I also love that single (odd) penguin shot. The deep blue in that 50mm shot of the water is amazing. Almost black with a touch of colour. Magnificent James!
It‘s been a long time since I enjoyed a video on UA-cam as much as I did enjoy this one! Great narrative style and outstanding images! All of them are printworthy.
You were apparently thinking out loud at 8:35, Nigel mentioned it in his video. That lens is a beast for hand held, eh? Great shots of a memorable trip. 🐧👍🥂
Some fantastic shots ! some experience for you all !! MPB is a great company to deal with even from Ireland fairplay for them getting onboard (pun intended) ;)
I really felt as if I was taken along with you on the journey with this video, not just is words but the whole feeling of the place ... some incredible pictures but for me the stand-out is @15:25 of the Red hut... I paused the video and sat and looked at it for over 5 minutes, absorbed in the detail and atmosphere it conveyed.. stunning !! Now where is that site to register an interst for the next one ? ...
It may have been a struggle, but you got some incredible photos! :D
Cheers Mads! Looking forward to seeing what you get… 😃
Is the same expedition with Adam Gibbs?
@@JamesPopsysPhoto Really great James! I still want to get a print of the red hut.
@Cesar Augusto Margato indeed it was 😊
@@JamesPopsysPhoto OUCH!

James Popsys: “I use the rule of odds, you know, 1, 3, 5…”.
Also James Popsys: “Here’s a shot with 8 penguins…” 😂 Classic!
.... and one with 42 penguins in.
It's amazing, that this video has completely changed my perspective of photography
Appreciate hearing your successes AND your failings. Also, your humility is appreciated
Very nice collection of images along with your accompanying story.
That shot at 8:45 timestamp looks so surreal, def one of my favorite photo on this photo set.
You're so lucky to be able to travel to places like this, and immerse yourself in their beauty, doing something you love. The red shed and penguins is sublime!
There is no luck. All you need is smart hard work and money.
Very cool trip! So beautiful amazing photos! Thank you for video and story! Have a more adventure and photos!
Excellent shots James! I really like the red hut. Thanks, your video really brought me back.

If I left that trip with just one of the photos you've captured I would have been happy. Great work! Love these videos too. Very relaxing to watch.
Absolutely unreal photos
Just stunning James. Thanks for sharing, I hope your knee is feeling better and you’re getting rest!
I watched Nigel's video just before seeing this. They go very well together. Love the hut in the final image.

Stunning James, what an experience that must have been for you all.?

Coolest shots, really like the stories behind the pictures!
Beautiful pics! You are doing well to afford an Antarctica cruise! God bless…. Keep up the good work! You are very talented!
You someone is really proud and passionate of their work when they say "this is one of my favorites" almost every shot.
Incredible work!
Must have been with Nigel. I thought the orca shot shows just how epic the mountains are. Great images
This looks like a dream trip/experience. I would love to do it. Beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing!
The ice wall picture is astounding. Love it.
Fascinating, thank you James

Wonderful vid, James - love it to bits. Jaw-dropping scenery, and some epic shots.
Liked your pictures. The climate is threateningly barren and cold but your pictures make it interesting.
Most excellent video sir! I loved the whale fluke with the sea, clouds and mountains. I also loved the red building with the penguins at the end. Another red building for your collection!
That was sick! Definitely on my bucket list! I'll bet Adam Gibbs was really disappointed there weren't any trees! 😁
Stunning images from a truly amazing place! Makes you appreciate the world we live in more! Love the image with the penguins in front of the red hut and the lonely penguin on the iceberg! 📸🙂
Really fantastic trip. Fantastic photos. I’m blown away by the majesty of that place
Incredible photos and just perfect ambience & mood! Way to capture it !!

Such amazing images on an epic trip.
We lost so many post offices here where I live. Most be even more remote than Antarctica.
Great images and experience
I will never go there so it’s fascinating to see this behind the scenes stuff in addition to absolutely stunning photography!
Phenomenal stuff from the ends of the earth. Thanks james for sharing your art and skill! 🙌🏽

You got some amazing shots! I have the Sony 200-600 and use it for baseball and bird photography. It is a great lens.
Gorgeous photos.

Been looking forward to this one!
Some incredible shots mate, keep up the great work I just found your channel a few weeks ago and absolutely love it.
13:05 how you just held the body with that 200-600mm lens attached, using only one hand is truly impressive
Some fantastic shots ! some experience for you all !! MPB is a great company to deal with even from Ireland fairplay for them getting onboard (pun intended) ;)
Beautiful shots James. Never thought Antarctica would be so epic. Makes me want to put it on my bucket list.
