Sadly UA-cam hasn't entirely succeeded in getting rid of bots and scammers! I will never ever contact you or ask you to contact me and I don't do give-aways. Any replies from me here on UA-cam you can recognize by the grayed out name!
The whale’s tail in the snow says it all. Very emotional for me, since going to Antarctica is the oldest dream of my life-I’ve dreamed of going there for seventy years. In a way, you have brought me there. Thanks, Mads.
I'm so glad that you finally made it to Antarctica! As a mere participant on this trip, I can highly recommended to any photographer who wants a meaningful high quality experience to take a trip with this team (Mads, Nigel, and James and others) if they plan a future trip. This trip was absolutely incredible, magical, and life changing.... and this was only day 1 of many excursions and landings. I learned so much and very grateful for your talents, gracious assistance and putting together the experience. I can't wait to see your future videos. ,
Fantastic work, Mads! Your video takes us along on your incredible journey to Antarctica, giving us a window into the world's most remote continent. Your attention to detail, from the route maps to the transit scenes, and finally the breathtaking Antarctic vistas, makes for a compelling narrative. The effort you've put into planning this trip and capturing its essence is truly commendable. Your work not only entertains but educates, offering a deeper appreciation for the majestic landscapes and the adventurous spirit required to explore them. Looking forward to seeing more of your remarkable photographic exploits!
I enjoyed the video as always Mads. Thank goodness finally you managed to get get there with everyone and on the way being sick you must have thought, no not again, but thankfully it worked out well. Wow what a a fantastic place. I must admit i love penguins. I think they are comical and lovely. You captured amazing image's as usual. I look forward to the next one.
Like always Mads, you made some very nice pictures. When I was stationed at McMurdo Station between 1985 and 1988 (summer season), I had a Yashica 35 mm film camera that I really didn’t know how to use properly. I wish I had my mirrorless camera that I own now. Thanks for taking me back there. Can’t wait to see the next one.
So glad you made it this time! Looking forward to part 2, at least I get to live it vicariously through your videos but one thing I'm super gutted about is missing out on the food 😂
Some fantastic images Mads!! I'm so glad you finally made it to Antarctica...in spite of the food poisoning :(. Adam Gibbs journey there was also very "INTERESTING" Looking forward to more grat image from your trip!! Cheers.
I get a lot of inspiration from your videos close to home. I can’t always go on long trips. I go out a lot near my home. I’m blessed to be in a great location with lots of woodlands, but it’s hard to find new ways to look at it. And your videos help. I like your trips but I get value from the close to home. Do what you like, that is the most meaningful. And it’s valuable! Looking forward to seeing the van renovation. You do you my friend, and I’ll keep watching!!
I remember when you couldn't make it to Antarctica the first time and I'm so happy you are finally there, stomach bug aside 😖 I look forward to see the next videos there, and hopefully (hopefully!) you could include one with tips on how to pack the usual stuff plus photo gear for long flights to far destinations? Please... 😬
I was just there this December. I lucked out with the weather for 3/5 of my days there, it was really an incredible experience. I wasn't able to get all the shots I was looking for but with my amateur APS-C gear I was quite happy with the results. I envy you for not having to cross the drake passage by sea - it did not treat me well... but at least I got some really cool bird shots on the way back.
The image of the whale gave me goosebumps. The penguin photos are so wonderful, comical and cute. What an amazing trip for you. I just love your photography. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing your fantastic journey. Although I've seen many whales while fishing offshore I still get excited watching the magnificent creatures whether in videos or any boat. Glad to see you felt better after your predicament. Yes, definitely no fun to feel miserable while traveling.
I must admit, after finding great humor in the video clips of the penguins waddling around on the ice, I was surprised at how emotionally touching your still images were. I kept thinking "they're so small, and their environment is so overwhelming and unforgiving." It told a story that truly moved me.
An incredible trip and experience Mads, I'm following every one of your stories, photos along with Nigel's and Jeroen's. It really impresses a remote place like Antarctica, its wildlife, its landscapes, the weather and above all, how you can get amazing images in adverse conditions. Thanks for sharing this spectacular moment.
Congrats on making it this time. Quite a flight. Your well edited video moves us along without bogging down in the details. I enjoyed this video (especially liked the slow shutter speed shot that captured the streaking snow). Thanks so much for the work you put into these videos.
Sounds like a rough start to the trip but at least you did not lose any luggage or gear! That would have been much harder to solve at such short notice... Your healthy luckily got better soon!
I remember back when you tested C+ in Chile and so I'm very glad to see you have finally arrived! I'm more and more curious about the Tamron 50-400mm since I have seen you use it so much. If its good enough for Mads it must be worth checking out. Thanks for sharing and I'm eagerly waiting for your next videos from Antartica.
I was lucky enough to work at an American base 25 years ago. It really is a magic kingdom 🥰❤ plus the food down there was amazing. It needs to be to make up for the long days. The scenery is hard to take your eyes off.
Winter vomiting disease, a norovirus. Highly contagious. If food poisoning, active at both ends, can have a ripping headache too and other symptoms. Looking forward to seeing your work from Antarctica.
Great video!! You are able to tell moments of life by photos and you do it always with simplicity and a smile ... we can see how much hard work is there behind a shot: technique, knowledge, skill but above all passion.... thank you for sharing with us this new adventure, I can't wait to see the next video 👍👏👏👏🔝🏆
A worrying start for you once again Mads but so glad to see you finally make it as the images were sublime. I especially loved the one you captured from the Zodiac with the people on the glacier.
Glad you finally made it to Antarctica Mads! It was a pleasure meeting you and talking to you there 😊 I didn't stop smiling through the whole video, it brings back so many great moments of this incredible expedition 😁
Mads, this video got a huge thumbs up a little after 4 minutes into the video. Made my day with the Dane comment. It really made me laugh. Thank you for that.
I was waiting and hoping you travelled to antartica, you are an amazing photographer and a teacher, me, my wife and daughter are travelling to antartica this year so I was hoping for some inspiration to photograph and who best to get inspired from then you. I think I watched most of your videos and learnt a lot o landscape photography. Thank you
Congrats Mads, so glad you were feeling better. I went by boat thru the Drake back in 2016…. We called the red hut “Antarctic Starbucks “ :-). Can’t wait to see what you captured.
How did you have the time to put that together? BRAVO 👏 Trip of a lifetime ( till the next one 😎) great memories ! Can’t wait for next weeks ! Safe travels home !!!
He finally changed his Peak Design Capture Clip!!!!!!! 😂 Some cool shots. With the initial ice flow shot at f16, was f16 only to get the shutter speed down? Can't wait for next weeks video.
Makes me want to go, inspiring video. Could I ask what gloves you are using? On my trip to South America I was sick like you on the first night and again when I returned upon leaving. Something about Santiago didn't agree with me either.
Could it possibly be airline food or should that be called poison. I've been a victim of that several times. Love to land on the antarctic continent - been sailing around there twice though and loved it.
Good that you finally did it, but frankly I am not so impressed. There are so many more interesting places on our planet. When will you go on the Lake Baikal?
When are you doing something else for a change - go to South Africa with your regular buddies. Join guys by the name of Kyle Goetsch or Hougaard Malan - top landscape photographers in my country
I am sorry, but you and your friends bring wealthy amateurs to Antarctica. One of the last untouched nature resort of the world, which is to be protected and where humans better stand away of. This is may be fun and profitable, but not really nice.
I am pretty sure its huge struggling for photography comes with this expansive trip. First it stinks from penguin so get ready to smell it when you go in land in penguin colonies. Secondly you are always in controlled environment so no much freedom to roam around and look up for composition opportunities or stay for catching changing lights. Third you are mosly locked on same boat with so its photography making best out moment captures. I think this trip is nice to experience Antarctica but not much offering for photography as would it be like Iceland..
¿Hater? No.
wow. what a disappointment. But mask on the plane. we got covid march 2023 flying to puerto vallarta from the usa, fully vaccinated. it is still contagious
Post-Antarctica blues! 🩵😭 Even though I knew you made it this time I still grimaced watching the 2022 and Santiago sickness bits 😬 Great video, look forward to reliving more next week!

I'm so glad you did video of this trip and sharing it as I will probably never get the opportunity to go there. Thank you!!!

He’s waving at you. What a friendly penguin. Love this shot so much! 12:36
Glad you finally made it and looking forward to other parts of the journey! "Osmo 3 conference" 🤣🤣
My favorite shot was the whale tail. Absolutely beautiful!
Awesome! Love the photos....so fun to see Antarctica!
well done -- got there just .

Just as you were talking about the arch in 12:00, I thought I saw a seal with a grin on its face. Great video, Mads.
And now I can't unsee it! 😁👍
Wow! What an amazing trip! Definitely a trip for a lifetime! Awesome photos and video!❤
So glad you made it this time! Looking forward to part 2, at least I get to live it vicariously through your videos but one thing I'm super gutted about is missing out on the food 😂
Yeah, you were missed! Hope you're better, buddy!
Some fantastic images Mads!! I'm so glad you finally made it to Antarctica...in spite of the food poisoning :(. Adam Gibbs journey there was also very "INTERESTING" Looking forward to more grat image from your trip!! Cheers.
Your woirk, as always, inspires, Mads!

Wow! Fun and fantastic video, Mads! Ended too quick....can't wait for next episode ;)
Amazing photos and footage. Can't wait for the next video!
Glad you made it kind of safely Mads. Can't wait for the journey

Delighted you finally made it.. such a strong start too🎉
A very trying trip for you. Great stuff as always Mads. Looking forward to seeing more from Antarctica.
Great video Mads. Very interesting to see something of the travelling and of course the beautiful photos!
Antarctica beautiful a place just wow ❤
Sounds like a rough start to the trip but at least you did not lose any luggage or gear!
That would have been much harder to solve at such short notice... Your healthy luckily got better soon!
I am SO glad you finally got to Antarctica, Mads! What an experience you are having. Looking forward to your next video from there.
Glad you made it eventually, Mads! Looking forward to more videos!

The photo in Recess Cove showing ppl on the cliff is really good!
Looks like you had an amazing holiday and flying business class too! Very nice!
Winter vomiting disease, a norovirus. Highly contagious. If food poisoning, active at both ends, can have a ripping headache too and other symptoms. Looking forward to seeing your work from Antarctica.
Beatiful landscapes.

Nice memories. Been there during christmas time and New Year's Eve 2021-2022. Had a lot of snow too. What a stunning and magical scenery.
Omso 3 Conference 😁, I also bought it for my trip to Norway. Nice that it was successful for you this time. 👍
Brilliant work Mads! Thanks for sharing scenes of what most never get to experience.
Omg the Sylvia Earle , wonderful person and a wonderful ship I hope to one day be on , this video is amazing thank you! ❤❤❤
Wonderful images! It must have been incredibly emotional for you to finally reach Antarctica. So looking forward to seeing more from this trip. 😄
A worrying start for you once again Mads but so glad to see you finally make it as the images were sublime. I especially loved the one you captured from the Zodiac with the people on the glacier.
What an amazing trip! The wale's tail is just amazing! And the penguins are just too cute, the one penguin looks like it's waving at you 😄
It was great to be with you on this trip....I'll be working on the photos for a LONG time...
Fantastic, one day I hope I can go on such a trip
Glad you finally made it to Antarctica Mads! It was a pleasure meeting you and talking to you there 😊
I didn't stop smiling through the whole video, it brings back so many great moments of this incredible expedition 😁
Mads, this video got a huge thumbs up a little after 4 minutes into the video. Made my day with the Dane comment. It really made me laugh. Thank you for that.
que bueno que finalmente pudiste tocar tierra en ese fantástico continente , el proximo podria ser nuestra bella patagonia en Chile !
I’m so glad you finally made it!
I was fooled by some footage into thinking it was a photo - until a penguin moved! Gorgeous.
Video was alright for what it was😁 Thanks for bringing the experience to UA-cam, loved the recap
Haha! 😂
Beautiful pictures already! So cool!
I was waiting and hoping you travelled to antartica, you are an amazing photographer and a teacher, me, my wife and daughter are travelling to antartica this year so I was hoping for some inspiration to photograph and who best to get inspired from then you.
I have the same question lol
An hour here and 2 hours there and so on ;)
@@MadsPeterIversen 🤣🤣🤣
No wonder it seemed like a long trip. According to your captions, you took off from Punta Arenas then flew past South Shetland Isles. 😂
Epic trip man!!!! The journey looks gruelling tho..We fly in from Cape Town in 5.5 hours :)
Worth the wait, eh? Carry on. 👍🥂
He finally changed his Peak Design Capture Clip!!!!!!! 😂
Some cool shots. With the initial ice flow shot at f16, was f16 only to get the shutter speed down? Can't wait for next weeks video.
14:25
Oh no. The penguin missed his boat.
Shit det lyder som en hård vej derned både i 2022 og med madforgiftning denne gang! Tak for at tage os med på rejsen! ;-)
wonderful 😀 by the way, what's the music you are using in your videos ? I got the link in the info ... but which is the music in details ?
Makes me want to go, inspiring video. Could I ask what gloves you are using? On my trip to South America I was sick like you on the first night and again when I returned upon leaving. Something about Santiago didn't agree with me either.
I generally used the Heat Company mittens with the fold-over function while there :)
You have been close to whales, you were there with Nigel and James recently 😂😂 I should be on TV with jokes like that!
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Could it possibly be airline food or should that be called poison. I've been a victim of that several times. Love to land on the antarctic continent - been sailing around there twice though and loved it.
Do you have a tripod and/or backpack with you when landing with the Zodiac?
For this trip I used a shoulder bag and only brought the tripod once :)
Good that you finally did it, but frankly I am not so impressed.
There are so many more interesting places on our planet.
When will you go on the Lake Baikal?
There are like two interesting photos from Lake Baikal :p
It is very difficult to capture perspective on camera
New challenge: lonely penguin 🐧
If only I could have enough money to do this….well at least you gave me a dream
Wow... I forgot all about you having COVID last time around
Sorry Mads, wrong cap!
. mmmm ja og hvad koster sådan en tur og hvem laver de tur og det se godt ud og spændene B-)
Prisen varierer lidt. Det er Aurora Expeditions som vi arbejdede med.
When are you doing something else for a change - go to South Africa with your regular buddies. Join guys by the name of Kyle Goetsch or Hougaard Malan - top landscape photographers in my country
If this doesn't count as different I don't know what... 😂
