I was pitched in exactly the same place last Thursday night - took a slightly longer route in to see some more hill forts....
some great hillforts around that area david...beautiful location.
must admit red Unna looks fantastic in sun rise/set. I'm using 10mm poles from Staika. Unna 10mm pole, does everything what Staika (my first H.) does for me single camping. I want to use Staika but always take UNNA as it's less weight and just 2 poles, fast to pitch, small ground sheet takes less space.

A nice relaxing camp and video 👍. A real bummer the pole got bent. The 10mm poles seem like a great upgrade given the shape of the Unna and it’s large unsupported panels on the sides. All the best!

Nice 😊. Good you didn’t stay ‘committed’ to your plan A and improvised to plan B. Would have been interesting to see how the solomid would have faired up there, think it would have been ok?
From your description I think what you saw was a Stoat. It could also have been a Weasel? The long tail with a black tip is the main difference. Always nice to see wildlife 😊ATB.
possibly the pyramid shape is great for shifting wind - the poly is probably a bit more rigid as well in the wind. No doubt itll get a good test in winter..

Hey mate. Great video. Love the look of the unna. I have a Jannu and thinking of a lighter smaller shelter also. What sort of wind (mph) did you measure at the first location? You mentioned 30 km/hr or was that mph? Cheers. Gary
Thanks mate, yeah I reckon we were looking at a steady 25/30kmph wind with gusts of 35kmph..it would have held no issue but would have been an uncomfortable night 🤣
Do you use a footprint with the unna?
hey...I do own the footprint but would only take in winter to help with condensation and dry area to store gear.
Nice camp and nice views. Shame about the bent poles. Noticed a slight bend in my Snugpak Scorpion pole. Reckon I’ve guyed it too tight as haven’t been in any massive winds.
