listening while I work today...your medication seems super expensive, have you looked into a discount through the manufacturer? My daughter gets one name brand medication at generic price w/ the discount card through the mfg. It would be like $75 a month without the mfg card. Just a thought, always looking for ways to save $$.
Honestly I’ve never looked into it. It’s roughly $35 a month so it’s really not too bad. I’ll make sure Jason speaks to his doctor and the pharmacist to see if there’s cheaper options though... couldn’t hurt!
Sara Marie Our doctor had no idea about it. She was happy when I shared the info about the Libby mfg because some people can’t take generics and it is cost prohibitive...you can just type the name of the medication in here to see if the mfg has a cost savings program. www.rxassist.org/patients

I love your budgeting system it's easy to follow. I would like to know if your total savings is comprised of the sinking funds or do you save more above and beyond that? I couldn't tell?
Great question! Our sinking funds are strictly items we know we will have to spend in the future. We have a whole other savings fund that is purely savings. Hopefully that makes sense.
Just a thought (obviously do what you are comfortable with), but would you be willing to share what you are able to save each month? That would still keep your income and mortgage amounts private, but show the outcome of the budgeting process with how much you are able to save. Either way, love your budgeting videos :)

I have setup my initial budget but I'm still tweaking a couple of things. I will have it done before 2018.
