As an accountant we CONSTANTLY look at past results and the same should be done for personal finances. Great video Sara! I think the hardest part of making a budget is figuring how how much you should be spending on each category. Should groceries be $100 a week or should it be $125? How do you decide?

Thank you!! I think you just have to be honest with yourself. We have a toddler so cutting groceries is pretty much impossible. We have to all be fed. I chose $100/week because it's doable for us. Hopefully that helps :)

Sara Marie thanks!! I have a gluten intolerance so groceries will always be a little more expensive compared to if I didn’t have to buy special foods.

I don't think I've ever noticed the credit card statement break it up into categories. Debit cards I think just go by date order but that's pretty helpful that it's already categorized!!
