I can’t remember being more frustrated watching a mariners team than this one right now. The absolute freefall this offense has put us into is almost unbelievable

I don’t know why they don’t just bunt with the bases loaded. It’s clearly impossible for anybody on this team to step up when it matters. What truly boggles my mind is that they have a pitching machine that’s soul purpose is to get them on time with 95+ MPH heaters, and yet Brown threw at least 15-20 fastballs right down the middle, and these dirtbags put maybe 5 of them in play. Garver looks about as lost as you can possibly look. Maybe it’s time to fire another scapegoat.
It's still alot of baseball left though. As I said before I like listening to other teams content and as an Astros fan I can appreciate your videos and I know it must be frustrating,but just gotta let it play out. That's the mentality I used when we were 10 games out. U all are good fans

Clearly not a playoff team with this offense. Slow start by the Astros and Texas just teased us. M's will be in third place shortly.

The M's could be sellers by the end of this weekend. With Friday's loss, the M's are 2.5 GB in the Wild Card and could be 4.5 GB by end of Sunday. After the break, the M's still haven't solved their offensive woes. The M's still cling to Jarret DeHart's hitting approach which hasn't worked in 3 years under his leadership. Bringing in RISP are below average for 3 years. Jarret DeHart will doom the M"s season as well as Dipoto era of baseball in Seattle. Fans were anticipating acquiring players and counting your chickens before they are hatched. This podcast should pivot to who should be traded for prospects. Oh well. Ce la vie!!!
glad I was at the rainiers game it was a more entertaining game than this game was a lifeless pitiful performance after 4 days off in front of a packed house to they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves it was nice not being in a bad mood for 5 days and now I have that feeling again
I always root for this team win or lose. I was at this game, definitely one of the most frustrating games of the season 100%. Had opportunities to score but unfortunately missed it due to struggles. Gotta play better and also upgrade before the deadline.
I love this team, but this game just felt fitting. I really do believe now that this team just had a good stretch, but is overall not a great baseball team. Obviously still a lot of time left, but I would be surprised at this point to see this team make the playoffs let alone actually contend for the division

I can tell by the tone that we’re no longer angry that the team isn’t performing..that’s not a good sign cuz it means it’s becoming the norm…it’s sad cuz the starters and for the most part the bullpen deserves better..I’m really at the same place their either gonna pull out of this shitty play or they aren’t and I’d prefer them not get our hopes up if they aren’t.. it’s too bad cuz they could of had the division all but wrapped up at this point with 500 ball..

Astros have been playing without basically their entire pitching staff and Tucker then best hitter and are just warming up to get to going to another world series it's inevitable just deal with it

Can't underestimate the Houston Astros. Everybody was 💩 on them early on ,but they had so many injuries . Teams will kick themselves for not burying them even more when they had the chance
Sad thing is that its not even like the Astros have gotten healthier, in fact they are more injured right now than before. Kyle Tucker hasn't played in near 30 games and still leads their team in WAR

As a team with huge profits, but claiming limited resources, even if I can come to grips with the salary dumping trades, how do you use $5m of those limited resources on Urias (and trade a pitcher who may not be doing anything in Boston to acquire) who is rotting in AAA.
Sure we dumped some salary with Robbie Ray (debatable as to how much without knowing how much was covered by insurance this season), but we turned that (and a useful prospect) into negative WAR Haniger and negative WAR Polanco.
Kinda just feel like now what? Do we make trades at the deadline. We have 5 black holes on this roster…
They had chances there with the bases loaded I saw the stat the mariners are 26th with 2 out RBIs so I guess that explains why we have been struggling. Timely hitting has been a problem all year
At this point, could our AAA pitching staff shut this offense down? I kinda want to know.

I have been saying this for the last 40 to 50 games. Even when we were 10 games up in first I was wanting to be sellers at the deadline. Here is why. First is we can not sign all 5 of our starters. We will lose a few. Now with that you sign (if they will) Logan, kirby, and one of woo or miller. If say Logan doesnt want to reup with the Ms sell him (this deadline is 100 percent a sellers market) as well as one of the two babies. I would also sell off anyone in the field. If someone were to offer a BANGER of a deal for a JRod I would even consider this. I would release/trade Polo, Mitch, and France. JP would be a possibility but im not concerned with him due to his D. While we would lose a little pitching this could give us the opportunity to trade for MLB ready players and castio and possibly a logan or kirby if they refuse to resign could bring back a massive haul. I hate the idea of pushing back the window a bit but I am just done watching this team as it is built. Life and America are crazy enough as it is these days and I would like to enjoy a baseball game but with the current version its not fun to watch even when they win on most nights. I am sick of rooting for a club that gives you 5 games a year where you arent stressing an outcome.
It would be interesting to see what the Mariners record has been since Polanco was reinstated from the injured list!? It feels like we started going down hill at that time.
Not sure about Polanco. It's 9-16 since Ty France came back (first Cleveland game). He's 14 for 88 (.159) with three doubles and one home run. Locklear could do that.

I once beat a guy 27 games in a row playing one pocket (pool game for gamblers) for $500 a game.. Never raised the bet, and he never won a game..

I haven't seen good processes from this team at all this season. Not in spring training, not in the early season, not now.
They've got their heads up their asses. Their swing planes are terrible, their two strike approaches are terrible, their ability to recognize pitches and hit it where it's pitched... terrible.
They look incompetent at their jobs.
Robles lack of defensive urgency hurt me because I've been rooting for him to get more opportunities.
He's exactly the kind of player the Mariners can be targeting at the deadline. He produces something positive at the plate, and that's all we can ask for.
I'd give Ty France away. I'd give Polanco away. Haniger and Garver... sorry guys.

What really gets me is too is the fact that yes Julio has had his struggles but him and Cal are the only dudes that seem to give a damn. They actually try to figure their struggles out everyone else is just hoping they turn it around. I see no hope in JP, Garver, France, Polanco turning it around because they just don’t seem to care to. I don’t know if a Robert or a Guerrero can make too big of a difference to this offense, like they are historically bad at this point in the season.
