What is his career record against Josh Allen, Mahomes, Lamar, Burrow and CJ Stroud cuz those are the guys all QB’s should be compared and Purdy absolutely does not compare and you are nuts and brutally biased if you think otherwise.
Yeah Purdy had no CMC, Aiyuk was a shell of himself, and his leading WR was 7th round pick Jauan Jennings. The kid is 26-5, including 4-1 on the playoffs, and leads the league in a lot of stats. He’s damn good.
Concur. So what if Purdy isn’t the second coming of Mahomes or Brady? He doesn’t have to be. The Niners just need a QB to be what Purdy is giving them.
System QB means they have a specific system they need to thrive in. QBs that need play-action and run based offenses are system QBs. QBs that rely on their running ability to get by are system QBs. The truly elite, the ones that aren't considered system QBs, are the ones that can run multiple styles successfully and do the basics like regular drop back passes.
System QB is a QB who isn't good but looks good due to scheme. He isn't good or bad but leans towards bad. Aka 2015-2017 Alex Smith. He was bad on tape but his stats look good cause of how insane his playcaller was. Tua, Goff, Purdy, Love all can be classified as system QBs. Garrapolo is the ultimate system QB. Backup QB whose stats like cmp% , epa, passer rating are top 10 all time cause of that Shannahan scheme. So a QB thats not good nor awful but leaning towards bad. As for Baker Mayfield, I'm happy for the man. He was something of a laughing stock during his time in Cleveland. Things changed after he got picked up by the Rams and was immediately thrown in against the Raiders and surprised everyone. He's now found a home over in Tampa Bay. He was originally the guy that you saw clips of and it was all for the bad reasons. He's now the leader of the Buccaneers after a full season starting for them, giving fans hope.

@@alankoslowski9473 Oh hey, it's Alan again, what up dog? Nah, Nick's definitely had to soften his rhetoric on Purdy. He's gone from saying it's a fluke or a flash in the pan, to he's being dragged along by his team mates, to the Jimmy G comparison, to grudgingly admitting he's a good decision maker and facilitator. He's still eagerly waiting for the other shoe to drop, but maybe someone pointed out how hypocritical he was being after endorsing Trevor Lawrence immediately despite the fact he can't match Purdy's consistent solid play.
The fact that Colin even asked the question about Baker needing more time shows how much of a joke he is. He trolled Baker for years. I am glad Nick called him out.
Im so happy Bakers our QB as a Bucs fan. He plays with moxy and gives his all on every down. What's funny is Jameis might end up starting with the Browns, so it's like we swapped QB's.
At some point, you have to stop holding Purdy's draft slot against him. Dudes a winner.
Don't undrestand why it is still a debate. Bro, is good.
Kurt Warner was undrafted and a HOFer
I immediately disregard any NFC QB because the NFC is a minor league compared to the AFC. What is his career record against Josh Allen, Mahomes, Lamar, Burrow and CJ Stroud cuz those are the guys all QB’s should be compared and Purdy absolutely does not compare and you are nuts and brutally biased if you think otherwise.

never understood the system qb what qb dosent play in a system
I think they mean like a field general qb would not do well in a scrambling system and so on and so forth. They all play systems though for sure
what QB doesn't benefit from a successful system ?
Often somewhere bewteeen QB20 and QB40.
@@erikpuka2627 the only way to prove that argument is to take the QB,s who are not considered system QB,s out of the system they were in and see what their performance looks like. The whole “Jimmy casts a shadow” debate point is so tired when Sam Darnold who couldn’t beat Purdy out of his spot just balled out for the Vikings
He played the Giants. Having an NFL roster on the field with you vs the Giants is like playing any other team with CMC Deebo Aiyuk Williams and Kittle on your roster.

Here's a more interesting question ... Should the Browns regret moving on from Joe Flacco?
Colin went from trashing Baker and telling the Browns they need to move on from him for years to this?
Baker is lucky he is not with the Browns anymore...
Jimmy was not a B+ for the niners, he was the player holding them back. Purdy he way better than him. He stays calm.
Look at the stats. Last season with mcaffrey, jimmy had 16 td to 4 int. Their Super Bowl year he had 26 td and a 102 rating. He sucked in the playoffs but good on the regular season. Purdy could be a C quarterback

He was originally the guy that you saw clips of and it was all for the bad reasons. He's now the leader of the Buccaneers after a full season starting for them, giving fans hope.

What’s wild is the Bucs have to play 7 of those teams
Baker is laughing at the Browns . Meanwhile Watson is laughing all the way to the bank .
