As good as that was… let’s salute Jeremy Peña for hitting an 0-2 pitch for a single on a pitch he struggled with all season (slider away)… truly epic…allowed Alvarez to come up.
And a good at bat by Hensley!
I thought it was a 1-2 pitch?
@@williamcooke6056 it wad lmao
The Rookie came thru in the 9th. He went 1-5 at the most important time
@@williamcooke6056 I was mistaken but it changes nothing, clutch AB and kept the inning going…
Imagine a year where this dude is third in MVP voting because of Ohtani and Judge. That’s what we are witnessing in 2022.😮
Ik dude that’s crazy!!!
Well he did get hurt as well
Alvarez doesn’t pitch even if ohtani is the most talented cmon let’s worry about the title right now
Idk I’d say Jose Ramirez will be 3rd, but Yordan is a scary dude, if he can stay healthy he can definitely be a 500 HR multi-MVP guy
@@janusman3730 stop talking about pitching! The dude is awesome but stop talking about it. Either remove the word value from the award so that you can give it to folks like otani who play meaningless baseball all season long with no pressure, or give the award to Aaron judge. Can't have both
One of the hardest hit balls I have seen in my entire life.....
I thought he missed it, it left so quick
Not harder than Soler’s last year 😉
@@ThatFaceMelter94 yes...harder...I know what you were trying to say...but stop trying to be funny or sarcastic
@@yelyharmony2047 And Soler is not in the playoffs either.
@@ThatFaceMelter94 Yordan hit it 116 mph bro
That little kid learned a valuable lesson. Never give up on a game this close because anything can happen and will happen in baseball.🔥
So true!!!
Emotionally on the inside I was right there with that kid. He'll never forget this moment
Remember how Seattle fans were making fun of him crying?
@@luked.4131 I didn't know that, but after we played them last week in Seattle, I decided that they're at least as bad if not worse than Yankees fans. I wonder if they boo Springer or Correa or Gonzalez or others who played on the 2017 World Series Astros team. 🙄
There’s no clock, and legend has it the Mariners are still searching for that 27th out..
Best part is that Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell are right behind home plate so you can see their reaction.
Which one is biggio and bagwell. I'm an very young Astros fan 😧
@@thegreatautumn1904 At 0:11, Bagwell is above the Minute Maid logo with a dark shirt and white pass on a lanyard. Biggio is to his right (our left) in the blue shirt with the same lanyard. Great reax.
Best part is you said Yuli was washed. You are wrong. I'm right. Yuli is your Daddy!!!!!!! Cry harder!!!!!! Cry more!!!!!!
@@thegreatautumn1904 Bagwell is the one wearing the black shirt with the lanyard. Biggio is to the left of him.
Man, good eye! I didn't notice them. Even baseball players are fans. That's so cool.
This generation of Astros have had several dramatic walk offs, but this one is amazing for several reasons. It was against a hot team and cooled them off for now, it was from behind with 2 outs, and it was completely obliterated with perfect contact. I can’t stop watching it.
It’s was smashed with perfect contact because it was a home run derby pitch 93 mph over the middle of the plate. Trust me is Seattle fans knew the game was already over when he came in. Horrible coaching move after a solid season
This one hits different because it was the first time where the Astros were losing and we all knew losing game1 with Castillo pitching game 2 could lead to us having to bow out early. This monster blast just changed everything
I think it’s more incredible because of the crowd and the way our dugout completely poured out. Never seen emotion like that from the Astros since 17
It cooled them off? The mariners literally haven't played baseball since that hit.
imagine being there in person (i was)….i was in the row where the ball landed
Can we talk about Pena keeping it alive so this moment could happen? Or Bregman stepping up the inning before so Seattle was forced to pitch to Yordan?
Fax it was a team effort
Especially when Peña has had trouble with the slider
Yes, but also Hensley fighting a great AB and getting the walk. Baker needs to make him DH next game, but he won't.
He got hit by the pitch lol
Or even Hensley who made his debut a couple months ago getting on base
This whole moment felt like a movie. We can talk about the hitting of Judge and Ohtani, but we can’t forget Yordan can’t forget Yordaddy😂.
Thank you Dodgers for reading away a Rookie of the year, an ALCS MVP, a player who has a very good throwing arm, a player who crushes baseballs, and a franchise player, From an Astros fan
Dodgers still Champs of 2017.
Dodgers wishing they had Alvarez but still have Betts.
@@slayermcrx7519 betts is nowhere near yordan and he's making nearly 10 million more than yordan per year
@@JackGeezy85 the only champs they were in 2017 were NL West champs and NL champs
@@aaronnguyen8837 yes thank you, you’re right, Alvarez is better than Betts
I could watch this all day!
Best game to be at
Me too
@@megamanwins2016very true
I've been watching for four months I can't get over it lol
I speak and understand very little Spanish, but those Spanish calls at the end gave me chills.
You should look up Landon Donovan goal by Andres Cantor
As a Yankees fan in Houston, I get goosebumps when that guy hits a HR
I still remember the one he hit down the line a couple of year’s back. I had never seen one hit that far by a leftie. The farthest one I’ve ever seen hit was by Eric Davis of the red’s. You can look that one up. It was in the dome. It’s really hard to gauge homerun’s at minute maid down the line’s, but that one he hit down the line, and the Eric Davis homer’s standout. People probably don’t even remember Eric Davis, but I bet that homerun is on UA-cam.
I was there. First playoff game ive ever been to. Best thing ive ever witnessed in my life. The energy in that building was INSANE.
I WAS THERE AND IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE 😭😭😭BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!
That was the most heart ache game I’ve been too. Literally stressed for 9 innings 26 outs
I have said it a million times I knew this guy was going to hit alot of big homers and walk offs in his career and I was right he has so much poise and patience and is so calm like Baker said and what's scary is he is so young still.
I was there too... First playoff game I've ever been to. The energy in that building.... Holy Sh**
Same bro I was bummed all game till that 9th inning
As a lifelong Astros fan of 40+ years, these young Astros fans have no clue how special this run is. Enjoy it, it's not normal and wont last forever. This team is amazing!
I don’t even want to think about them not getting into the postseason, even though it’s inevitable with time.
Yeah I’m a lifelong Red Sox fan and I gotta tip the hat to Houston. The player development and the fact you’ve been able to keep most of the core together while adding awesome new guys like Yordan is incredible. After the amount the franchise struggled, it’s amazing to see it now.
Ever since they went to the American League was when the dominance began!
You were right
GLORIOUS from every angle and in every language.
This is going to go down in history as one of the biggest postseason home runs ever. Take it all in!
That wasn't a high majestic asking shot.
That was a damn missile to the upper deck.
Storybook. From the crying kid to the camera panning to Alvarez in the on-deck circle. The build up to this play is unbelievable. The 2 strike single by Pena. This is MLB in October.
Yankees fan here, and one who wants the M’s to take this series. That ball was SMOKED. Like CRUSHED, DESTROYED. Best hitter just showing off what he’s done all year. Nice comeback.
no one? every away game i watch there are tons of mariners fans in the crowd.

I love how so many of the astros players didnt even bother to keep their eye on the ball to see if it would go out. They just immediately ran started running towards Alvarez with zero doubt in their mind.
The Spanish broadcasters know how to call a walk-off home run. Felt the emotion in those and the first one as well! My team not even in the playoffs but I felt that!
I was going to comment about that. Listening to them is was more exciting! 🤩
At 0:05 seconds that young man was about to see a miracle.
Love the passion of the Spanish broadcasters!
This moment will forever be in my heart.
Brian Anderson, King of the Voice Crack Curtain Call. The spanish call at the end was so good too.
He could not have squared that up any better. What an amazing hitter.
Yordan? More like "You're DONE." Truly amazing end to the game.
I was in the lower deck right field... always will remember watching that ball soar over my head. Minute Maid went crazy.
I was also in the lower right field deck. The flight of the ball going over my head was amazing!
Oooo my God no words for this incredible YORDAN what a big emotion to see another Cuban 🇨🇺 making history in MLB
I love the way Yordan tossed the bat as an exclamation point to his 3 run homer! Go Astros
Now it's okay to flip a bat. However, 7 years ago people in Texas were up in arms when Bautista flipped his bat after hitting a big home run.
What makes this HR and the world series game 6 HR both so special is how HARD he hit those baseballs. Absolutely crushed.
Alvarez is so calm in pressure situations late in games and he is so young still.
excluding some series walkoffs, this is the best walkoff ive seen. im so excited man. we arent even closed to ending the golden era. 2 rookies & the best hitter in baseball came in the clutch even when our leader didnt get on base too. up there w WS G5
you are right something tells me something even better is coming and they are ot done yet.
Glad I was in the stadium, to witness this Astros postseason win, what a game❗ 👻⚾️⚾️🔥🔥🔥
I like how he skips into home plate ...lol
This is such an awesome video!! The calls by all the different play by play guys. They are all great, even the Seattle guy, who sounds like he's gonna throw up.
As a Mariners fan it’s hard to not appreciate this homerun
The whole situation is why I love baseball. We were doing everything right in this game. Then y’all get two on with two outs and the best batter of the night stepped up in a big moment.
We ain’t going down without kicking and screaming though, if you think this will destroy the teams confidence, you got another thing coming.
Stros will never underestimate the Mariners or any team. Reason why they’ve gone to WS 3 times past 5 years.
What a season this has been across the entire league can’t to see what happens th rest of October (and November)
favorite part of this sequence was watching a father and son create an amazing baseball memory that kid will NEVER forget. he will never believe its over until its over 😂
Seeing all these videos as a Mariners fan is torture… but wow what an awesome Homer and congrats Astros fans. Hoping we take game 2 though
From an Astros fan, thank u for appreciating good baseball and stopping by. Y’all had us worried all game, should be an interesting series!
Well played Sir!
Goosebumps
Me too ! GOTTA get my jacket 🤣🤣🤣 !
Same - and I don’t even like the Astros haha
Those Spanish game calls are SO DAMN GOOD. Lol.
Ese Palo me Dio asta Fiebre 😭⚾️
I want to cry every time I see this. Greatest moment in baseball!
I Can’t Stop Watching This 🙌🏻🤘🏻😳🔥
The BEST game I could've gone to!! What a finish to a playoff game
Yordan just replaced Bautista with the best walk off home run bat flip
That ball was still maintaining altitude when it hit the stands
That man couldn't even buy a mariners shirt, he wore a Seattle Seahawks shirt. Lmao, hearing a homerun broadcasted in Spanish.....never gets old.
I have no love for the Astros, but i can give nothing but respect too Yordan. Even i got goosebumps.
Ur cringe
We love them here in Houston so it's all good
At least the brewers announcer can make it to the post season ❤️❤️❤️
The most exciting thing for me was that I called it before he even walked up I said Alvarez with the walk off home run just watch!!!
One of the loudest stadiums in the Majors.
K batazo mi hermano k sorpresa t da el béisbol saludos desd San Luis Potosí México
This homer must’ve left like the whole country with its jaw on the floor bc of how many times mlb is posting it. Might’ve even topped play of the year or something
I was there and couldn’t believe what I had witnessed. My jaw was on the ground, the entire stadium knew it was coming too because it’s Yordan but to see it happen blows your mind
I'm so glad they're posting multiple videos of an Astros play for once. They've been ignoring the Astros all season long.
@@chesschad81 for real
Well, nothing like it has ever happened in MLB history...so it was pretty special. It's the 1st ever walk off HR in the playoffs when the team is trailing by multiple runs.
@@jshooper7819 I know. That's absolutely carzy.
They rocked their ace and knocked them down, but they failed to knock them out. Mariners will have to hope that they can rebound come game 3 and stay locked in beyond because this series will probably go the distance.
Was that shot still going up when it hit the stands... Holy sh!t - LINE DRIVE
I'm here at work watching all videos of air yordan... 😂
Need to show this clip to people who don't like baseball and ask them if they like being wrong!!? 🤣
Que locura de batazo!!! El Yordan!
This never will get old
This ish gives me chills 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Constantly consistent with good defense and pitching. Now, this back end of the bullpen MUST tighten up going forward.
this changed the playoffs for the astros
It really did
It was a great swing on a bad pitch (right smack in the middle of the strike zone). Better for the M's for this to happen in Game 1 vs. Game 5.
the Dodgers gave the Astros Yordan Alvarez, they are still good but this guy is incredible.
Wasn’t sold out tho. Hard to get a sell out on a 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. MLB hates the Astros never gives them good ALDS times. I’ve been to every single once since 2015 and the only time we got prime time was against the Red Sox
To James Har.. the guys who keep it in play & going are the true Hero's of these events, Here Here❗🕺💪🤩🥳😌
And then they proceeded to win the World Series what a amazing team
As a Braves fan. I say this, that’s one scary man, and I hope we don’t have to face that.
You won’t CAUSE YOUR ELIMINATED LOLOL
THat' spanish narration is always so energetic. Ya'll people need to learn some spanish and you'll finally will feel the passion some latin american countries have for this game.
Bro that kid crying at 0:05 probably had a heart attack when he hit that.
Yordan is a star and we never hear about him. Top 3 hitter in the game wrc+
I see Yordan doing these things and I can't help but to think about Mike Trout's career and how many of these moments we will never get to see because of the team he is in...
Hey if he wants to take a pay cut, Stros will find a place for him. It’s difficult to have the money and a great team. Reason why Stros keep away from the bigger and longer contracts. Not saying it can’t happen but it makes it more difficult.
We need a center fielder too ..trout to the Astros next year would be insane!!!😵
This would have been an amazing game to listen to on the radio.
This NEVER gets old!!! The Mariners knew after this , they were done!
I will continue watching this a billion times
Falto la narración de Ernesto Jerez, ese si que le pone sabor
So cool!! Love it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That ball went to NASA
Bruh this monster hit plus the monster hit game 6 of WS are very big key moments in that entire season!!!
Surprised the MLB is giving it this much attention. They hate the Astros.
This is what experience gets you. They didn't over think it they just played ball.
Just casually flings helmet and it almost makes it to 1st base.
I was wondering when the batting helmet would land on the ground. Makes it look easy.
Pure power and strength. Houston has gotten better. Very mentally tough team. They are still hungry to win.
They can even better next year, now that they know where have needs. All of the starters other than Verlander who just needs to re-up is signed for next year. Core is still young and getting new talent with Brown.
Los Cubanos llegamos, vamos y seguimos a base de Palos !!! Los pocos, Los orgullosos, Los Cubanos, Viva Cuba Libre !!!
Yankees fan here, but you gotta respect The Don
This was the man who punished my Red Sox in 2021 ALDS himself.
Yordan Alvarez is this generations Reggie Jackson.
Great video! Thank you!
Minute Maid Park has one of the loudest crowds, Houston is a very big city, so that means there are very big number of Astros fans to cheer, Let’s Go Astros!!!
Do u know why they’re so loud?
@@Michael-uu7zq because we have many fans and we all cheer and support the Astros
Surprised JV gave some runs away but not surprised that this team would win the game at the end. Astros are their daddy pretty much...
Why does it sound so much exciting in Spanish haha 😂
0:19, I could have sworn there was a nokia sound playing in the background. But anyways you cannot stop Yordan Alvarez, he can crush a homerun, no matter who's the pitcher.
That ball was the hardest hit object in the history of mankind
I was waiting for "GOL! GOL! GOL! GOL! GOL! Goalazo!" at @1:40
I wanna believe in myself the way the Mariners believe in throwing that second fastball
using starters as relievers in the playoffs goes very wrong very often, yet these managers continue doing it for some reason.
It would only make sense if they do it in the regular season frequently but they don’t at all. They should’ve just kept seawald in
Regardless of the WS outcome, Crane needs to quadruple down and go get us a big centerfield piece in the off season. Keep Yuli and Brantley, send Mancini back home.
Ngl I get teary eyed watching this
