    As y’all are pulling out the first piece of sub floor.. the music slows down, the excitement builds, the bees are flying, the honeys dripping, and mike is doing the stanky leg getting stung with bees in his pants 😂. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you’re great people Mr.Ed, your attitude and personality are delightful. And again, thanks for the videos!

    Jeff, I can't believe you responded to me after completing this cutout! I've been in touch with our local bee keeping group, and am planing on taking an intro beekeeping course as soon as they have a class opening. Thank you again for your generosity with your time, my wife and I are still taking about how much our Abbey visit meant to us! I hope if you make it up to Greenville SC you will call us and let us return the hospitality. We have some great fishing here! Tell me when you want to go! God bless!

    When Mr. Ed is impressed by the size of it, you KNOW it's a big hive.
    Do you ever feel a little guilty dismantling hives? I would feel so terrible, knowing how hard they worked to build it. I know they can build again, but gosh, they really put their all into those combs!
    I laughed a little when you were talking to Mike and the random bee just ran right into his face. :D

    Jeff, I feel your excitement. I just did a cutout under a mobile home that went between the floor joists under the trailer and was nine feet long. It had at least 40,000 bees.
    Working under a trailer isn't my idea of fun. 🤔 it took two deeps to make a home for them.
    I'm giving them a couple days to settle in before I look for her majesty.
    You make it look easy. 😎🐝🐝🐝

    The bee business amazes me! But the joy you have when u find the queen always makes me so happy especially when you thank Jesus. I am here to tell u I love your videos so much. Monster beehives or swarms you always are so grateful and it shows. I am extremely allergic to bee stings...found out when I was 9 years old and had a bee sting when I was 27 and almost died...one bee sting almost killed me. You saving/wrangling them amazes me and you keep the same energy with every job you do....i love to watch what you do but i also know if i don't keep a epi pen (?) Not sure of exact name.... i would die from one sting... the doctor told me it was like a peanut allergy...serious! I know its weird I like to watch you save the very thing that would kill me but your energy is so encouraging in my life!

    Couple of questions about your bee vac. Do you use a standard size shop vac hose? Any issues using the corrugated hose? Do you have a way to regulate the amount of suction? I built one and am using pool vacuum hose which is 1 1/4 ID. Have used it twice and on both occasions have had significant number of dead bees. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Jeff, thanks for taking us all along on another wrangling adventure. Would you please explain.....especially for the sake of folks like me that are just starting, what takes place after you get the bees back home......how is the comb, honey and brood utilized in the new hive.....how many deeps do 40,000 bees require?!! Do you return much of the honey back to the bees....or do they just start making more? So interesting, so many questions. God is so gracious and Christ Jesus our Redeemer blesses in a mighty way. Oh yeah....those pretty ladies much better looking than the Dirt Rooster

    Jeff,I have bees in a metal water tank.Have you got any suggestions how to get them out?It has a 1 inch hole at each end and it is standing on it's end.I watch your UA-cam all the time.

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  4 роки тому

      With only a 1 inch hole to work with, I'd say the possibility of removing those bees is about zero. Im sorry I could not give you better news, but unless you are able to get to the comb, it's pretty much a "no shot" situation. That being said, if you wanted to move the tank and the bees to a different spot, and possibly catch swarms off of them in the spring, that's a real possibility. Thanks for taking all the time to watch my wrangling adventures. God's peace Floyd.

    Huge hive while it's still cool. Great job. Are we going to double the honey harvest this year?

    Could you hear the bees when you went into the room? Looks like it took the bees awhile to grow that big. See you next week if you're at the abbey.

    Wow that’s so huge, how long would it take them to make all that?

    You cannot see the wax for the bees. Look at that honey oozing out onto the floor. Good eating for your bees at the Abbee. The Lord has blessed you with many little honey makers. God bless the work of you hands.
