There are always surprises when it comes to wrangling bees, but this surprise really caught me off guard. I knew this hive was going to be a large one, but I had no idea it was going to bee as large as it turned out. Not only was the hive massive, the queen played hide and seek with me for over 3 hours. In the end, we removed 2 ice chests of comb, which I have already rendered and plan on announcing a surprise concerning it, more than 60 pounds of capped honey, 15,000 plus bees, and an extremely large butted queen, thank you Jesus!
Also, I spend time explaining the particulars of my bee vac. I am always asked questions concerning the bee vac that I use, and I used this cut out to explain and demonstrate the vac in action. For those who are interested in learning a bit more about the bee vac, I will include a link to the video I made showing how to build one for yourself.
Because this video ran so long, I did not include any swarm catches this time, and since our swarm season is about wrapping up, I will be concluding the catches within the next 2 videos. More than 20 folks have send in their catches, so I will probable break it up over the next 2 weeks. Thanks to all who have sent in their pictures, it was really great to see all the action. God's peace to all. Mr. Ed
