The entire mountain village of Ruidoso NM had to evacuate yesterday due to a wildfire threatening their entire town. 8,000 people had to leave all behind and travel in one highway East out of the area. Neighboring towns and states have come together to respond to their emergency. It’s the greatest thing about America- neighbors helping neighbors still exists. Y’all, please say a prayer for the citizens of that sweet tourist town. Lovely folks there!

Patera, my Grandfather was a WWII Staff Sergeant at 18 years old after he fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and Europe was liberated, he stayed in Germany after to help "de program" and De Nazi-fy the German youth since he was second generation German American, and spoke fluent German. He enjoyed it so much, he came home, used his GI BILL to be the first in his family to go to college, and became a school teacher for 30 years...your comment reminded me of my Grandpa and his contribution to the world, at least it was for a positive reason!❤

I’ve had friends I walked to school with “unfriend” me. When I talked to them about it they said they just couldn’t be friends with me because of my being conservative and who and what I support.

Lost my step Mom to turbo cancer last year. She gave us a hard time for not getting the jab. Still miss her though and my 86 yo Dad had to go into nursing home after that. Brother has POA, but at least we can visit the nursing home in MT though.

We've had warm weather till that stormy cold front moved into Wyoming from Canada. Our low last night was 28😳with a frost warning !! Needless to say we rushed around at dusk and got it ALL covered and protected. I had the huge blessing that all my garden is from starting seeds inside in April so I was determined to save every last one!! We were blessed to save them. Feeling SO blessed!

I picked blueberries today and am planning on canning blueberry jam tomorrow. Y’all pray and cross your fingers for me. I’ve made grape jelly and fig preserves but this is going to be my first attempt with blueberries. Since they’re one of my favorite berries I sure don’t want to mess them up.
