Tipper - any updates on your book signing schedule yet? Thank you!
@@kathryndavis2447 Yes! I planned to share the new date on Monday-but here's the info. I'll be at Alexander's Store in Blairsville GA on Saturday August 3, 2024 from 11 am to 2 pm. I hope to have another date to announce soon 😊
I have enjoyed everything you shared…I try my best to get over everything.since I can’t walk very well right now, the Music has been such a blessing. Granny and Paul, oh my how beautiful and I like how you all sing your music so you can hear every word…I hate to listen to someone that is singing and you can not understand the words…thank you Lord for this family the way they are witnessing for you…messages in the way they live their lives…bless them Lord, I ask in Jesus Name.
@@benitastevens612 We appreciate you! Thank you 😊
I’m sitting here eating cherry tomatoes that I grew myself & watching this video…46 and never had a garden before but you inspired me…😊
Well I am 49 and never planted either but I'm trying with lantana.. they are going ok😅
Isn’t it a wonderful feeling and such a joy to see how God made everything work if we do. ❤
Oh I just love that!! And yay for tomatoes 😊 thank you!
@@grammyb5216 it’s the best feeling…such pride…
M y only daughter retired from the military and can't wait to start her own garden
One thing for certain….. Tipper and I are two blessed ladies who have men who can cook and serve them breakfast. I love watching your show. I sure wish I was physically able to do a garden like you all. That time has passed for me….. so reliving it through those who can helps me. God bless you all as you welcome another little one. Best days of my life.
This has to be one of your best video's in my opinion, was a pleasure watching it - so peaceful.
Oh thank you 😊
These types of videos make us all wish we lived in Appalachia 😊
Be blessed you have an Eastern Box Turtle-you have a precious female who looks to be 28 years old. If I remember correctly, you had been living on that hill about the same time as her; maybe she was their first? These animals are on the concerned list due to habitat loss - Inbrace this Tortise and what she represents as an Appalachian Native.
That is wonderful!
Yes! Please protect her! ❤
YAY!! Someone who still says Decoration Day!! When I was a kid in Missouri and lived 1/2 mile from the Cemetery, every year a bunch of people and neighbors, that lived within 5ish miles around would come to the small cemetery to attack the weeds and throw out the old flowers and mow and make everything nice before Decoration Day. Then we would eat dinner (Lunch) on the ground. And us kids would run around trying to catch bunnies!!! Great memories. But after I moved to California, never heard the term Decoration Day any longer.
I'm very close to my mom just like you and she has had a stroke and can't speak. If you could remember her in your prayers it would be much appreciated. Her name is Faye.
I will pray for Faye!! I’m sorry she is having to go through this.
Thank you all for being here. Finding your alls channel has helped me so much with my nerves and calming me down. Truly a blessing from God. I love your girls channel as well. 💛💛💛
Our pleasure! So glad you enjoy what we do!
WOW....that guitar version of "Jesus Loves Me" was absolutely fantastic!!! I had happy tears, my beloved lil toy poodle passed away in April. He was 18. I used to sing that to him all the time, and he would just listen❤ he loved it! Hearing that today brought me happy memories!!! Thank you...your channel is a blessing. May God bless you today and every day 🙏🤍 ps. Those berries were a joy to find!!!!
So glad you enjoyed it! I’m sorry you lost your little dog.
So sorry for the loss of your beloved fur baby. I know how hard it is having lost my 16 year old lab boxer mix.
@@user-qi6yo7xt4l Thank you for the kind words. I'm sorry about your dog too!! They really are family 🌈🤍🙏🐩
Miss mama Tipper, you are a light in this world and your channel is sheer delight. Thank you 🙏
Wow, thank you
All the food prep in silence with just bacon crackling etc was so satisfying. Loved this.
Glad you enjoyed!
Those raspberries are like finding a treasure. We had raspberries on the farm when I was a child many years ago. I am so happy you and Matt now have the big corn patch.
Thank you 😊
I had to dodge the copperhead pickin them for my granny...😮❤
Y'all are so lucky with the hard worker that Matt is!! No one like him, hope that he is appreciated!
I love, love the fact that your family lives on one road within sight of each other but far enough away you aren't smothering each other. It's so comforting and homey and old fashioned in the very best way. Is Matt making a spear for fishing? Lol now that I'd like to see! Tipper, if nothing else works for the squash bugs, get some diatomaceous earth and spread it around.
Thank you 😊
I love picking the wild raspberries. My dad told us to watch out for copperheads. We make garlic scape pesto and freeze it. Everything looks lush and lovely. God bless.
Thank you 😊
Thank you for this wonderful “patchwork”real life video. Simple sweet things keeps us rooted to what matters most.❤
How beautiful that guitar playing is. Simply beautiful!
I had my phone in my hand & got your notification😇😇! I love your channel. 🥰
Thank you 😊
❤ Enjoyed seeing all of the blessings. And ALWAYS love hearing Paul play or ding. 👍🙏🥰
Thank you 😊
Oh my goodness, Tipper. Your generosity goes above and beyond. You are so sweet, humble and very grateful for the help you receive for your family. God bless you and keep you.
You are so kind! Thank you 😊
Makes me hungry for some bacon and gravy and biscuits great video thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for watching 😊
Please tell Paul how much I appreciated him playing Jesus Loves Me. That is my happy song I sing when I just unexpectedly feel grateful for something. And thank you for including it in this specially pretty video.
A raspberry cake, raspberry cobbler, raspberry milk shake, raspberry in milk and a little sugar then add to your hot cereal or cold…yummy, I do this with any kind of berrys.
The shot of the sky right after the turtle the clouds looked like two puppies playing. Beautiful country!
😊 thank you
So thankful for this type of information of your home land.
Making the sandwiches and wrapping them in paper and then putting them in a basket reminded me of my Nanaw taking lunch to by grandad at the gas station, with canning jars of milk.
I make peppered gravy for morning breakfast…love the blueberry desert…thank you Paul for the sweet hymn.
The rain and gray skies make all the colors pop. Even the cemetery in the rain was so pretty.
❤ Loved being with Y'all.Made me feel more restful. The Cobbler was served on plates like my Granny's.😊 Praying for your Granny. and of course all of you. Soon,The New Baby will arrive! 💕🙏 Hopefully, an easy birth. Good night,Sun nearly set here.🥱🐢Was cute, for a Terrapin 😂 ❤🕊️ Lord's Blessings All.From the Foothills of the Olympics WA 🏔️☀️
Boy, that blueberry cobbler and ice cream sure looked yummy! I was glad to see Paul pickin' Jesus Loves Me. I miss the live music on your channel, but the girls have a lot going on and they have much more important things on their minds! You have such peaceful gardens, I'd just love looking all those beautiful flowers and growing goodness!
We call the turtles tarpin...like tar pin. When I was young, we would carve our initial on the shell. Not deep...we did not harm them. Sometimes we would find the same ones again, and we knew by the initial which one of us caught it. Great memory!
Beautiful garden, great looking food, and beautiful people!!!❤❤❤
So nice of you thank you 😊
Miss Tipper, you sure are blessed. Those views through the trees, looking up to the sky is just about as close to heaven on earth as it gets. Just stunningly beautiful.
I keep pecans in the freezer; for 2 reasons....it prevents them going rancid and it keeps the 2 legged critters from eating them all up....
😊
Another stellar video. Tipper I think your papaw and Miss Cindy had a conversation with Jesus and said can help Tipper stumble on to those Black Raspberries cause they wanted your grandchildren to try them too.😇it was so nice to hear Paul play what a treat. Great job on the garden. Brooks Oregon.❤
This was so relaxing to watch. My favorite parts were the raspberries, especially when you were picking and we could hear the birdsong, the rooster crowing, and thunk of the berries into the basket. That, and Paul playing.
Such a lovely video. I sure miss my little hometown. It is so like yours. I live in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas and it's just not the same as where I grew up. What it does have is my husband of 48 years, my two children and my Granddaughters so it's still good. God brought me here and He knows what is best. Thank you for this video.
The ruffly purple Poppies and Pink crepe-paper looking flowers are simply exquisite! My goodness, what a gorgeous garden.
Tipper, your yard is just so beautiful with the vegetables and flowers, blueberry bushes and all. Just stunning!
Love Matt's beautiful rendition of Jesus Loves me! I was singing that song to my 2 year old granddaughter today.
Thank you! That was Paul playing it 😊 my brother
Ok. I couldn't see his face
Loved! Everything from Decoration day, dinner, dessert and Jesus Love Me... 🎶💖😊🪷
Seeing the Terrapins brings back memories! When I was a child in the '70's I used to play with Terrapins when we visited my grandparents in Oklahoma (I'm from IA). Also, black raspberries are my absolute favorite! My grandma used to make black raspberry pie and black raspberry cobbler every summer. They were so good! Good luck with the darn squash bugs!
The garden is massive, its been gratifying watching it transform
Well I'm just sitting here wishing my place looked like y'alls... Lol. Wow... Its just gorgeous you two👍🏻😊 The sounds of thewind.. The birds... Picking.. The water even...... All of it... So fun... And peaceful. I love homemade pimento cheese!! ❤ I love all this video. Thx for sharing😊
Thank you so much 🤗
@@CelebratingAppalachia i love your channel♥️
when we were little kids, we picked wild black raspberries from a patch at my granny's house, my dad's childhood home. my dad made the best jam from them.. have not had anything close since. i remember the long nights he processed them, the smell throughout the house, the purple color consuming the cheese cloth.. the language when the paraffin didn't cure right, lol.. or the jam never set, so became syrup.. still as wonderful!
the patch is still there but so overgrown, and we're not as nimble, young and healthy as we once were.. its been a long time. i know you're all going to savor the products made from all those delicious berries! truly a gift to enjoy!
Love those memories 😊
Tipper Raspberries are my most favorite berries of all. I remember being a little girl and when we would go to Michigan to visit my cousins and Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents well my Aunt Laura had a big raspberry bush as soon as I got outta the car that’s the first place I ran to!
Love that!
Tipper, I love how you started this video. Quietly makin' breakfast, homemade biscuits, sawmill gravy/milk gravy/poorman's gravy (whatever name you choose) sizzling bacon, and that beautiful sound of hot coffee being poured into the cup. The rest of the video was great too! Very relaxing.
Loved Paul's rendition of Jesus Loves Me! That was beautiful. Tell him thank you! Wonderful video...thanks for ending my day on a high note!
You are so welcome!
Tipper here is a little trick I learned from my mother for picking berries so you can use both hands. Use a belt around your waist, hook it through the bale of the bucket or an old pair of nylons tied through the bale of the bucket and hung around your neck. Frees up both hands to pick berries with. Mom would fix us kids up and off we would go to the berry patch. Works like a charm.
Great tip 😊
Hey Tipper, I like these videos with a little bit of everything. From making biscuits to Paul's playing and everything in between. God bless y'all.
You found those raspberries years ago just prior to finding love, now you find them again as an indicator of the new seasons ahead as a grandmother 💙💙
😊
Watching today and always enjoying, seeing Matt putting fertilizer out and saying he was at the BIG garden was a surprise! Yep, that really is a very big garden. I know around your house. you have all kinds of little places tucked around with gardening going on and I missed anywhere before y’all talked about your big garden. I really don’t know how you keep up with all of that, lots of good food and canning and eating going on. Love your sharing your lives with us! ❤
I just picked about three gallon size bags of black raspberries from my son’s farm before it got too hot for me to be out. There were still so many left, but I have breathing issues so had to stop. This year they were very prolific! Plan on making jelly with them. Protect the ones you found at all costs so you can enjoy for years to come!
Yes Jesus loves us all!
What an absolutely beautiful life. You guys are so blessed! I love that your family is close like that! I thank God that my children are super close with me & dad (my honey). I have tried so hard to get my brothers to be closer. I thought for the longest time maybe it was because we were all spread out & kinda broke, but nope, we all received some inheritance & money didn't move the needle at all. We didn't really have anything holding us here at that time, so I even tried to figure if any of them would appreciate us moving closer to them & still nothing. Just weird. But anyway, you guys always touch that part of me.
Please tell your brother, thank you for playing for us!
I was the person that told you turtle (pronounced turTell in baby talk) was my first word & wanted you to show them, so thank you. God bless your beautiful family! ~♥Mary & fam in NJ
Thank you Mary!!
I’ve never seen anything except orange poppies. All the different colors are beautiful!
Blackberries use to be everywhere, especially close to the railroad tracks out in the country. Now it has grown so big where I use to live, you can't even find the tracks anymore😂. We have Agarita Berry bushes where I live now. They are a little tiny red berry with a pit, so jelly is about all you can make with them, but it is good. Nothing better than a Blackberry cobbler...yum yum! Beautiful video❤❤. Ok Corrie, keep walking! Maybe that will help coach Baby out!❤. Have a great week! Love listening to Paul play anytime!❤. Yes Jesus loves me!
What an absolutely beautiful rendition of " Jesus Loves Me"! Next to that I thought the story of the rasberry patch was super sweet, and as always I enjoy our stroll through the garden, veggies and flowers alike. I started late, but I'm just now transplanting zinnia seedlings to bigger pots.
Tipper your Gardens and home stead is … RIGHT FINE ! As we say here in southern Indiana. My favorite is the garden with the arches(cattle panel) lovely as can be . We’ve had a ton of lightning bugs of the evening in the fields hundred of thousands it is so pretty .Tipper your video and filming is getting really good ?Cori ? I love when I can hear your brother play ..
Thank you! It was all me this time 😊
I loved seeing the bees at work on your beautiful flowers. Thanks
Love watching you all, look forward everyday to your videos ! Hope you soon get to meet your new little one❤
Thank you 😊
Being black raspberries, they may have been hard to see in such a dense area, so wonderful to find a fresh free snack or desert. Enjoyed watching your show.😊
I do my bacon in the oven, too! But, I have a rack that I put in a raised sheet pan. That way the bacon grease drips off, and the bacon gets so nice and crispy :)
My mouth was watering for one of those ham sandwiches. Thank you for showing me a terrapin, prior to today I had it in my head that they were some kind of bird. Don’t laugh, I’ve lived in the city most of my life except for some time on grandma and grandpa’s farm in north Texas and I don’t remember ever seeing any turtles around there.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video 😊
We have Terrapin turtles all around our place. We have a terrapin Creek. And yes, the terrapin turtles are the best for kids to play with and capture.
we pay respect to our parents every year.weve made that trip 20 yrs now and still hurts as bad as 1st one.😢love your garden.❤
Bless you! I know you miss them so!!
My wife and I look forward to the videos that you and your family post on UA-cam this one is great 👍
Thank you 😊
Terrapin turtles are smaller. What you have there is a box turtle. Just like the pregnant lady walking you found, that box turtle looks like she's looking to lay eggs. You're lucky to have berries in June. Thanks for the tour and stories.
4:50 Wow! I think this is probably my favorite video you made Tipper. You keep making great videos and we are so blessed for that❤
Wow, thanks!
I never wanted the video to end! Beautiful video friend.
Glad you enjoyed it!
When I was a lad of 5 or 6, my Aunt Thelma Bradley, who lived up the road from us, had a large raspberry patch in her yard. I remember visiting her one time In the spring and "gorging" on the delicious black goodies. I got sick and my Mom introduced me to Castor Oil. To this day when I hear about raspberries I think of Castor Oil.
Skip Salmon Turkey Bottom, Roanoke, VA
What a memory Skip 😊 hope you have a great weekend!!
This was a well-done video, Tipper. Great editing. I enjoyed all the topics. When I moved to NC over 15 years ago, blackberry patches filled every vacant lot and people were always harvesting. Those lots now have neighborhoods and apartment complexes. I miss the free food.
Tipper, I'm so happy you found those wild Raspberries! We used to walk the dirt road we lived on as kids and pick n eat all we could find. Mama would walk with us to get them to so she could make a cobbler like you did. They're so good! I have them all a long the side my long dirt driveway up the ridge and my Grandson walks down to get my mail and always stops and eats them. I taught all my kid's n grandkids about things like this! There's also alot of wild blue berries up on the side of the bank and into the woods! They're little but not are they Good along with the blackberries n wild strawberries! Y'alls Corn shore is looking pretty! You'll have a good sweet Corn Crop this year and I'm tickled to death for ya'll. Pops old Corn Field! I remember the story behind it that you told us about! Paul sure can pick a guitar! Of course we all grew up on that song, "Jesus Loves Me!" I used to sing it to my kids, nieces and nephews and taught them all to sing it. Even my younger brothers and sister's with me being the oldest out of the lot of us. I have one older brother but I was next and felt like I was older than him most of the time. I know I was smarter because I did everthing for them all. Mama depended on me to do things which I never really played very much except with the younger ones to keep them outta Mama n Daddy's hair and outta trouble, All the while I was washing out diapers or breaking beans or something! There was always things to do with our big family! Your flowers are so beautiful. My Daughter the out a mixture of Wildflowers n Poppy Seeds early in the Spring and the rain washed alot of them down to the corner of the yard and they've made a Beautiful big patch of flowers down there! God knew where they would do best and made that Flower Garden on the corner with the big rocks mixed in. It's beautiful with all the different colors and shapes of blooms! How's the baby doing! I'd love to see y'alls precious little man. I know he rules the house and all ya'll.. Lol. It ain't long til the other one will be here. Ain't long at all... I know you and Matt are just tickled over them soon to be 2 little baby boys! I know ya'll are! Oh, your Pesto looked so good! I've never thought about doing it that way! I'm gonna hush talking Sweetheart! Much Love and Prayers to you all... God Bless. 🙏🙏❤❤🔥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you! And thank you for sharing about your life 😊
One of my favorite videos of yours. 💛 Tomorrow is the full moon. Maybe Corrie (hope I spelled it correctly) will have her baby on the full moon. 🌕
The pesto looked delicious! I made it last summer with basil from my garden. I put in plastic ice cube trays and froze. After set, I wrapped well and placed in freezer bags. Cook any pasta you like. After draining, place as many cubes as you desire in the hot pasta. It's delicious. I can't remember if you used olive oil. I used olive oil and butter to make it along with garlic, pine nuts and lemon juice. I add the Parmesan when served.
What a delightful video, Matt and Tipper! A little something of everything, from food to flowers. Enjoyed Paul's rendition of Jesus Loves Me. The only thing that could have made it better would have been for y'all to sing a little. Had all of you especially in my prayers today. ♥️ God bless you, and thanks for sharing.
Tipper I do so enjoy your videos You all are so Blessed to live in such a Beautiful Place. Such a peaceful delightful life you live. God Bless all of you.
I grew up eating what we called sawmill gravy. Made with mostly , cornmeal and a small amount of flour, milk and sausage or bacon grease. I also have eaten gravy made with flour, and chocolate gravy.
My grandfather had some wild black raspberries on his farm. They were wonderful!
Katie’s poppies are beautiful so many different colors.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful, beautiful slice of life from the holler....with some good "Paul-pickin" to make it perfect! Just what I needed today!❤❤❤
Gorgeous shell on that terrapin / turtle - sun kissed by God. The most beautiful markings.
Loved seeing Matt cradling his grandson Ira, in a blink of an eye he’ll be taking Ira fishing with him ❤
Tipper you are so fortunate to have so many wild berries so close. I pick wild blackberries & I got a large coffee can and put a string long enough so when I bent to pick it was not too low. That way you have two free hands to pick a larger amount for jam. As always thank you all for lovely vlogs.
Great tip! Thank you 😊
Graves looks so pretty!
I love how big that garden is. Lots of work, but very rewarding. Hope you get really good weather to produce a good yield. Thanks for sharing the videos. Love your picnic basket too!
In East Texas we had what were called Mayberries or Dewberries. Dark blue and ultra prolific. Amazing for Cobblers and pies
Ooh, 😊 showing the How-to on making cream gravy is a big bonus. Needed this and Thank You! (Love the blue mug.)
Best part is Paul … so gifted.
The poppies are amazing! I had only ever seen red or white ones. Wild raspberries! ❤️
How wonderful to have found those raspberries They are my favorite
What a wonderful life..❤ quick tip, store nuts in the frig or freezer to keep them fresh.
Katie's flowers are gorgeous. 😊
Thank you 😊
Here in Washington State,
We have something similar to your raspberries,
they're red, low growing Bush; we call them thimble berries .
they usually grow in the higher elevation where the soil is heavy , & they grow along side of the roads.
Thankyou for the video. And to hear my Sunday School song beautifully played by Paul. ❤
I enjoyed hearing Paul playing!! Also the rest of video . Thank you’😊
You should do a video tour of your holler. You don't have to expose anyone, but it's hard for me to visualize where your home is in regards to Granny's and Corey's home.
As Always so Entertaining ❤❤❤dear Tipper ❤❤❤
So enjoyed watching this video! So peaceful and relaxing! Love y’all’s property! God bless
y’all! 😀❤️🙏🏻
You are so lucky to have a large patch of black raspberries. They are our absolute favorite!! We have planted some the last few years but only get about a pint per season so far.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! The foods looked good, all those garlic scapes! I´d call that a pesto that you made. NIce treat to hear Paul beautifully playing Jesus Loves Me 😊
I love pesto !!!! I’ve made it with basil, just a hint of Parmesan cheese, pink Himalayan sea salt, pine nuts and avocado oil. Oh and fresh garlic cloves. You can use any but really bit it tissues the best with pine nuts. They are expensive but it would be worth it to try at least once just so you can taste the difference. I LOVE pesto sauce as a spread on taste or for sandwiches and of course, in pasta 🍝
