- What would a hypothetical Atlus-made Phantasy Star tetralogy remake look like?

#PSO2 #NGS - Ігри
Honestly. Ties in to ngs would help NGS, I personally would like a mini side story that links the two or mulitple mini stories that links psu,ngs and pso2/pso1. Maybe a distorted space area where it links them there but not exactly where you could get the item codes.
As much as people reee about connecting PSO2 to the Algol series... ep5 already did it. Those characters you encounter are the memories of the Record.
Yup!
yeah except that what we saw was just part of the original plan that wanted to involve classic saga character for the whole EP5 but Buster quest and the balance turned out to be a disaster and those plans ended up being discarded :(.
also JP fans didnt like Alis outfit , it was unecesary sexualized , fans was like : Alis its sacred , at least on official media :P
I wish I could see the 3D combat of PSO2/NGS applied in a new project, maybe one with less balance concerns due to being a single player title. Having played Oracle a couple of times, I'd have probably been happy to play that as a single player-formatted title with appropriate balance adjustments.
I wouldn't mind
This does sounds cool odea thought i know some indie rpg that also been fill the Nish well square were getting " Experimental." Though to be i been working on a PSO2 campaign i want to run when i finish up my xcom campaign thought I might slip some of phantasy star stuff into that campaign. One of my player end up married to arks Operative. There maybe some cross even that will happen once thire done with thire Expedition in Egypt.
Mother Brain arc is best arc. I know 4 is generally considered the best of them, but 2 just has a secret sauce to it that I can't put my finger on. In retrospect, the fact that it essentially spoils the end boss on the title screen without you knowing it is pretty rad. I wouldn't mind some remakes as long as they are faithful to the originals and don't ham up the dialogue with modern day references. Oh, and the soundtracks may be upgraded but should be unaltered in composition.
the core of PSII is its dramatic story, many people even new players that discover the game today, if they manage to get past some old and unbalanced game design choices get a shock and are blown by the events happening in the game,
I too wish if a remake were to be made, I would wish for it to not change that aspect and not try to mellow it down or try a happy ending.
I Love the game
your Idea for the remake about merge the games together into 1 big story could be a good idea since the protagonist are far away decendants of Alis .
also might work since the original games had very shorts stories which devs back then added the need to grind alot to artificially extend them.
another route its add a lot of extras to the games it self just to make the grind more entertaining (cof cof side quest ).
PS: i really hope something similar for PSO1 and specially PSU series since back then passed unwarned for me :(
it would not matter because the ones that made atlus what it was left in the late 2010s. atlus is mostly comprised of new people. even the persona director is retiring (or already retired?)
It wouldn't be a bad project for those neophytes to cut their teeth on under the tutelage of the more senior team members.
The director of modern Persona, Katsura Hashino, hasn't retired yet. He's working on an original fantasy game called Metaphor: re fantazzio.
@@daevious_ he talked about retiring once. However most of the megami tensei team are gone now.
I would love nothing more than remakes and a phanta 5,
For me it has a lore that justify in itself a 5th ep even without great light or profound darkness
you get climate hazard / climate control
food crisis /
bio engineering
mecha
a thousand years old advanced lost civilisation
space travel possibilities...
All of those thematics are even more relevant today than 20 years ago
Yeah there's a lot they could do.
ya forgot to mention that Atlus made Odin Sphere too, which is also a classic rpg on playstation 2, and its remake/remaster is on ps3 and 4
Ohhh nitpick nitpick nitpick! I think I've only played the demo of that but not the full version.
@@Zeomantic :P yeah, i nitpick 'cuz i love that game, far more than the persona series XD and its remake!remaster is even better
@@Cythyel Fair play! I was just being a smartass. VanillaWare had completely slipped my mind. A VanillaWare Phantasy Star would be interesting to see.
@@Zeomantic yeah, there are times... XD tbh, i wouldnt mind a version of phantasy star from creators of the Ar Tonelico universe *.*
