Snowbasin was awesome! Wasn't trying to make a 30 minute video, but we did so much in one day! We'll definitely be back! Feels like we barely scratched the surface.
I'll be in the Salt Lake area from April 5-9. Would you be interested in showing me the goods for one day at Snowbird of Solitude? You would be compensated, of course.
Grew up skiing and working at Snow Basin in the 80s...amazing to see lifts covering all the spots we spent hours hiking to...back then you could always find wide swaths of untracked powder up on FTG.
I like the style of your videos, simple, straight to the point of lots of great raw footage of riding with the perfect kind of music. keep it up! I miss Utah, gonna make that my home getaway.
Getting myself hyped up for a good weekend of boating in the best way possible. I love these videos! Just a couple homies ripping some fresh snow, that is the life my friend. Hold on to it.
Sick video! Found this late lol, but the chutes at basin are insane! Super steep and gnarly lines all over the entire ridge line. Keep up the great work on the videos!
Geez I've done lone tree and after seeing the first few clips I thought for sure this was from years ago with all the crazy places. Definitely gonna hit these next year!
You should have skied it last winter (22-23)...record 615". Skied 84 days and probably half were at least knee deep pow. Probably won't experience another like it.
loved the video as always bro! keep it up. I'ma get me some lessons this year I think. I've been contemplating since you recommended it a few videos back to me in the comments.
Hey any tips for riding doing super steep stuff? I snowboard and I am really good, just have a hard time getting toe sides and steep stuff I am goofy rider
Going from heels to toe in steeps requires you to drop your front knee towards your toe edge extra early. You need too keep your knees compressed and get your weight downhill quick. In bumpy terrain sometimes you might need to hop turn to get over stuff. Hope that helps!
@@BoredProgression Yea that helps a lot! I am in something called the "d team" and we go down super steep icy bumpy stuff, and they don't help you at all
SICK video!!! I am assuming you spliced together some various runs for that last segment? I don't think the olympic downhill run would go under the gondola....? Man that was steep at the top. How beautiful!
Thanks for the vids. Sundance is icy most days and is lacking the snow at the moment. I would say the best times are the end of December mid Jan ~ Feb. It can still be fun though just make sure to have your edges sharpened :D
Nice, after the NW, Snowbasin and Alta are my old haunts! Great to see it in fine conditions. Much as I love Snowbasin- Telluride, Jackson, assorted other resorts have more steeps.Telluride particularly the side facing the town has some steeps that are probably intimidating for people who haven't seen true blacks. The resort side is milder except for a couple places up top. Snowbasin is a great place to learn and develop and always fun to come back to tho!
@@BoredProgression If you include the hike accessible chutes I think that is true, for pure lift access terrain I found Jackson is overall a bit steeper but then Big Sky, Alta, and Crested Butte should be in the convo and the town facing aspects of Telluride are the most scenic outside of Taos or some places around Tahoe.
Snowbasin was sick last year. Apparently John Pual Express is one of the Best High-speed Quads in the country for the terrain. And not sure if you went into their lodges/bathrooms bet they are soooo nice lol
Man you guys slayed it! Another great vid. I’ve got to catch up with you next time I come out. Hoping to before the year ends. Yo tell Alex V I send him a fist bump. Loved my lesson with him at the Bird in January. Too bad the conditions were bunk! Peace ✌️
Thanks man. Definitely! Was there yesterday and might be tomorrow. Gonna try to get as many days in before they close on April 18. HMU on IG if you’re gonna be there! 🤙
@@BoredProgression I’m going there with the Indy pass this winter too! How’s park city on weekdays? Are the crowds pretty spread out since it’s such a big resort?
I’m planning on getting the burton process should I get the Flying V or just normal. I’m probably about an intermediate rider and like to go and do it all
I recommend the regular process. It has a true camber profile which gives you more pop, better carving and more control when landing jumps (especially if you spin at all). Flying V is less catchy, so easier to butter but IMO that's not enough of a reason to get reverse camber. That's my opinion tho.
Getting a bit bored of watching and not being able to do it. The board is back in storage again till next year. I am not holding my breath ,for next season in Europe, the way things are going .Anyway enjoy your selves
We are stoked you guys enjoyed Snowbasin! Thank you for wearing you're masks and thank you for shredding!
Thank you!! Love your resort and can’t wait to come back!
Hey @snowbasin resort I will be coming to your resort in January 2022 and the sole reason is because of this video…thanks Dan your a legend

If I’m free, I’ll get some laps with you at the bird. 🤙
@@BoredProgression I'm not in IG so I guess I'll just keep an eye out for the orange subie.

Wild!!
Insane video! Those back bowls on a blue bird are unreal!
Unreal the terrain. 😲
Basin is so dope! Never been to another mountain quite like it.
For real.
This is my home mountain! So glad you got up there (finally). I told you they have the goods there. Woot!
Wish I’d gone sooner!
Weirdest coincidence I just saw you in the comments of a James Hansen video and then I watch this immediately after and see you again lol
@@colingarcia7901 What can I say? #1. You have good taste. #2. The algorithm is working.
Snowbasin looks amazing! Definitely putting it on my list for next season 🤙🏻way to shred out there!
Yewww! 🤘
Definitely one for the books!!! Dude, you are so blessed! 🙏🏻 The views are so breathtaking!
Soo grateful!! 🤩
I had a smile the whole time watching this video. SB is one of my top 3 favorite resorts.
It really surprised me!

Hope you have a blast!
Such a lovely edit and enjoyable to watch ! Can't wait to go on some fresh snow this weekend !
Yeww! Let’s get it!! 🙏 ❄️
Just bought season passes to SnowBasin. The kids prefer it over all the other resorts. Great mountain for the family too!
Not a bad choice!

Thanks my dood! Better late than never!

I did! Got up to Snowbasin twice. It was epic. Posted a couple videos from it. Had more powder days than non. 🤙
It’s crazy how different basin and powder are when only on opposite sides of the valley
💯
Yep.
Snowbasin is like Switzerland to Powder Mountain’s Lake Tahoe. JMO.
loved the video as always bro! keep it up. I'ma get me some lessons this year I think. I've been contemplating since you recommended it a few videos back to me in the comments.
It will do wonders for your riding. And if it doesn’t, level up to a more advanced instructor!

I think Basin is on par with an of the Cottonwood ski areas, but it never gets talked about. It's a seriously impressive mountain.
I can’t disagree. 👍

How long have you been snowboarding?
I started about 25 years ago but I only went 1-2x per year until 2017. So I feel like I’ve really only been doing it for 4-5 years. 🤣
Wow.

whats the least crowded northen utah resort? moving to salt lake area sometime and dont like crowds
Probably Beaver

Probably a weird question, but what gloves are you using? 🤔
Not weird at all. I mentioned them a few times in the video. VO Gloves. Link in the description for $20 off.
