most people don't understand SOAD's lyrics and what they were about (hence the beginning, before the song started) , early in the day Serj always preached real shit, this is why this band to me is so unique and incredible.
As far as I'm concerned, a talented musician is one who clearly expresses themselves or express themselves in exactly the way THEY want. System does the latter, and to a T. Technical skills don't even matter if you convey your passion to a crowd.
@Pogopogopogoo Yeah his solo project wasn't very well thought out, but ask any metal or hardcore vocalist, that shit will tear your throat out...I think its the band "Suffocation", the lead singer developed throat cancer and had to have surgery like 4 times and he's on the verge of being a mute because he keeps screaming right after a procedure. I've been listening to Suicide Silence lately....THAT is a wicked growl

@Pogopogopogoo While I do agree this was his best time, and I'm not a huge fan of his new stuff, his voice and attitude and stage presence are still what makes me love him. Its ashame system broke up because they were my fav band for years but I still support whatever he does because......well....he's SERJ....lol
@PrescottEstateFilms I disagree, this is pure talent, and not what people now see talent as now (How good your are at your instrument/How generic your voice sounds). If you follow Daron and Serj respectively, they could live up to the new "talent" now-a-days. Scars on Broadway outplays SOAD (in complexity) but thats his choice to, they could have EASILY wrote "hard to play" songs people go crazy over... And they were as stoned as balls...
How can u blame him, hes on drugs or at least drunk. Look at his dance moves and his eyes :D System was always Alternative Metal, -Punk and -Rock, all mixed together in one awesome band. BTW Serjs shouting here is awful, I could have done it better :)
