  • Once again the good ole Starlet having some fun with its big modern brother! Greasy Track didn't help with FWD corner exit! Alot of fun though! In a straight line surprisingly similar.
Had a laugh/chat with the owner of the Yaris GR after. Its fairly stock bar a Litchfield Tuning Box (should take it to 300bhp ish) and some Track Pads. etc. Great performance straight out of the box! Spec of my Starlet GT Turbo below. Enjoy!
    Starlet GT Turbo Spec:
Carbon Bonnet & Stripped Out Interior
    Whiteline Camber Bolts
Whiteline Fr & Rr Anti Roll Bars
    Unknown JDM Springs
    TD04 Turbo Conversion at 0.8Bar (200bhp)
    Front Exit Exhaust System
    Front Mounted Intercooler
Apexi PowerFC Mapped by Ricky at Race-Tech Motorsport

Was there on that day, your Starlet sounded great.
I didn’t chat with the owner of the GR but his mate in the E92 told me it was a full litchfield build, tune, brakes, suspension, alignment, possibly exhaust.
I was in the blue i30N, the GR definitely had me on the straights so not doubting it has some extra oomph

TBF it didn't take much chasing, much more capability in that GR with some seat time for the driver, every time I came across it it was pretty easy to catch but as you say pretty quick on the straights.

Good driving dude! The GR is majorly disappointing in a straight line. One tried to pull away from my stage 1 Cooper S (280bhp) and I passed it pretty easily!

It has 20%+ drivetrain loss that’s why, your 300hp crank quickly becomes 230whp.
Same as Evo’s, anything permanently 4WD has heavy losses from crank to wheel
