Went to Cadwell Park last week. After many unhelpful guides (oh just do 120mph through this corner) found this video. Perfect guide for a fun day out and base to then get faster. Thanks!!!
Great guide for someone who’s never been, and for someone who’s never been than that someone needs to get it booked, by far one of the best circuits in the Uk which is know as the (Mini Nurburgring)
Remember sat on the steps of the barn at barn corner (gone now) thank you St Johns Ambulance, Ago, Mick Grant, Hanks Brothers, Haslam's, Peter Williams, Tony Jefferies and more
brilliant couple of laps. the cars that passed you.. were they better drivers? (maybe not) or was it more a case they had better powerful cars to pull away?
Were they better drivers? How to upset an old middle aged man 😂 Being serious, there are many factors, performance of the car, tyres play a significant role during braking/cornering, of course the drivers ability and also whether the individual wants to push at 10/10ths or stay a little safer/slower. The main issue for me was that I was trying to film and talk you around a pretty busy circuit, so it was probably a number of factors 👍🏻
@@FastandFun sorry. I meant you were shifting... But the cars passed you was the maga fast Yaris and a BMW .. looked like a 330sc I've a STi 330s, but I'd not do track days in it.. like you say about pushing a car... I'd need to drive home In it and it not be on a low loader lol I've done a parade lap at Castle Combe but didn't do more than about 50 in it. That was fun enough lol Your talking and filming and driving was 10/10
There’s a lot of tricky corners to master a cadwell. In the approach to Barn the circuit is dropping away and it’s off-camber, with no view of the exit, so you tend to be too cautious. As the corner opens on the exit you can get on the power much earlier than you think, but watch the surface as you haven’t yet left the trees and it can still be wet whilst other parts of the circuit are dry. A true test of nerve 👍🏻
Blown off the track by two other cars Richard, very disappointing. Do you want me to come down next time in my power beast and show you how its done? Mind you, you did manage to over take a Panda!!!!

I'm at Cadwell Park this week for the Formula Woman competition, I'm a novice & this has helped immensely! Thanks.

Barn the hardest corner ?

I get all these offers to drive sports cars and my own brother doesn’t let me drive his Golf R! 🤷♂️
@@FastandFun No and there's a reason for that, you need to drive it fast!
