I have ridden Scorpion trail 2 for the last years and I am very happy with thwm. its been everything from summer days to rain/ snow. Never let me down. I ride 95% road and 5 off.
Thanks for the review! I ride a 1200 enduro 2 up and fully loaded. The Scorpions have stood up well in Scotland in some cold and extremely wet weather, always seem predictable regardless of the weather conditions. Front tire is close to the legal limit after 6k, rear still has some life left. I will be replacing like for like as they have done everything I’ve asked from them so far 👍
Thanks for the review. 👍 Just ordered the Trail 2s for my 2023 Ducati DesertX. The OE Scorpion STRs lasted 6.5k miles. Did around 20% of total miles off-road. The DesertX handles sooooo sweet on pavement I'm switching to a more road biased tire. Besides, the STRs are on backorder.🙄
I just ordered these tires yesterday. I appreciate the reassuring comments about the tires. Tire availability is horrible right now. Been riding my Anakee 3’s through Ortega and given the construction and worn tires, uneven surfaces aren’t met with any level of comfort and confidence.
Nice video, just letting you know volume is hard to hear, and left channel only. I have the same tires, but have had trouble in mud, I'm thinking of getting Dunlops Trailmax Mission next
Thank you for the comments Lotus. I will keep an eye on the audio for the next video. Please let me know how you like the Dunlop. I will be looking for a more aggressive tire that handles mud well in the coming year as I am planning a trip through Utah and like I said in the video which you may not have been able to here (sorry about that) I don't think these tires would do well in low sand mud mixture. The Moab area dirt is really greasy when wet and I think these tires would cake up and turn to slicks :).
I have a Triumph T100 and looking to replace the phantoms that came on the bike. Have a long dirt road to my cabin and I think these would be a good option.
I did use them. I have gone through 2 sets. I am switching this winter to something a little more offroad oriented but these did work good for going off road. Also great for mountain/canyon runs with lots of corners. They grip the road great, even when fully loaded with all our travel gear. My only complaint after 2 sets is longevity. My second set I only got about 6500 miles on them and they are worn to the wear strip. I am also riding 2 up 90% of the time so that likely contributes to the faster wear. Thanks for watching.
There is no road noise with these tires. I have found that in sharp rocks they get cuts. I decided after our last death valley trip that we were going to try some tougher tires like the TKC 70 tires. We will see how those hold up. I didn't get a flat that time but there were clear cuts in the tire. Thank you for watching. Please subscribe to support the channel.
Would you feel confident leaning to edge of the tire? Shopping for my 1190 Adventure S. Fast street riding in N. Georgia mountains is planned. I have full knobby tires for dirt.
I have never taken to the edge. I scrapped the foot pegs but i am not able to lean far enough over to get to the edge of the tire.. would have to remove my foot pegs 🤣. I have ridden many mountain roads fully loaded with my wife on the back as well as solo and I have always felt confident on the scorpion trail II tire on tight mountain roads. Careful with sharp rocks though offroad.
@@Fentventures For real bro? You not man enough to own your mistake? The sound comes from one speaker only, that too at a considerably low volume. You've recorded in a very bad way. Dont tell me about speakers mate, you have no idea...

Thank you for watching and sharing your experience with the tires.
Trying to make a decision here and this is very helpful. Thanks!
Thank you. Very helpful.
Yes, very helpful. I was on the fence between getting these tires and what Michelin had to offer. I will stick with the stock brand for my Ducati too.

That's great! Keep the shiny side up!
thx mate
thx, bought a 2016 multistrada enduro with cruiser pirelli tires mounted.. front started vibrating at 90mph.. highly motivated to get these tires
Awesome, glad the video was helpful. Keep the shiny side up!
Thanks I just purchased a pair. Insightful.

Thank you for the comments. Ride safe and keep the shiny side up.

so did you use these tires? I have a street twin and I'm also interested in these, do you recommend them?

Great review - Not sure if you mentioned this but what is road noise like? Thankyou

Great voice!
Thanks! Sorry if it is to high pitch 😀
Hey man, are you talking to yourself? I mean "whispering" to yourself? Even at full volume connected with an Amplifier, can barely hear you!
You should probably buy new speakers 😀. Thanks for watching.
