I absolutely adore the Typhoon, she is an absolute stunner and a brilliant display aircraft, she's so graceful. In my opinion, she's better than anything in the air apart from the F-22 Raptor. 🇬🇧🇬🇧✌✌
@@cjf614 Nah. Even as a proud Brit I'll say the F22 would shoot the Typhoon down before the Typhoon even knew it was there. In a dogfight it may be a different story, but it t would really come down to the pilot. To be honest, the stuff the F22 can do is ridiculous.
The camera doesn't do justice to how loud these things are in person, when the Eurofighter/f-18 arrives everyone just stops in their tracks and turns around.
YEAH! The fast jets are epic, I liked the noise the Hawker Hunter, not sure if they still fly in the airshows after the horrific accident at Shoreham. I would loved to have seen a lightening in action but they were all retired before I got to go to any airshows. Civilian, will never forget standing at the end of Heathrow runway as concorde took off at dusk. Epic noise and sight.

You need to see an F35 display! Saw it last year at RIAT for the first time. It is a fair bit louder than the Typhoon or other modern fighters; it has a noticeably deeper growl that vibrates everything quite strongly. I couldn't believe how loud it was... understandable mind, considering it has the most powerful fighter jet engine ever conceived. I say this having seen most loud modern fighters.
As good as it gets flying one of those. Jim Peterson is definatly my favourite of all the typhoon display pilots. His signature fast high G entries are spectacular.
I think he was the last one on that day , we sat on the car roof watching him play as the cars made thier way of the field , sound is amazing......cant believe this was 6 wks ago ....looking forward to next yr . 😊
selfco 22 i was in the army at ft riley home of the apache helicopters. We had a exercise with russian attack choppers. What a bunch of junk! You would think they were fabricated out of 55 gallon drums!

Farmer John I’ve always thought the Gripen looks a similar aircraft and a lot less costly for both maintenance and purchase. I suppose that if airforces weren’t showing the the Typhoon more to the full they’d lose sales perhaps. I think we’ve yet to see the best out of this amazing aircraft.
@@John-The-Farmer Really? The Gripen? Can't say I agree there. Great aircraft, but a Typhoon it is not. The Rafale looks more impressive in displays but that's because it has a faster roll rate and that in itself makes it look a little sharper. Plus the French pilots are far more ballsy and always give it far more welly and are more willing to rag the aircraft around. Typhoon pilots, especially of the RAF tend to be very reserved so Typhoon displays tend to look slower and more graceful.

I too have long floated the idea that Canada should actually diversify its squadrons with different aircraft (including possibly the Typhoon/Rafael/Gripen, etc...). Thereby negating the idea of relying SOLELY on one type of aircraft, domestic aircraft designs and solutions could be suggested and developed in the meantime. Could be a bad idea though at the same time lolol but better than the sh*t show currently.

At 0223 when he loops the sound of the jets thrust hits 8 to 10 seconds later as he’s hosing it towards the crowd at 0232 then the jets go quiet till he passes at near Mach 1 at around 0245.now that’s some fast acceleration. Amazing Jet. Got to love brits 🇬🇧

what is the turn rate of this?..its super twitchy and seems to go high alpha super fast...and how tight is the turning circle?..looks insane to me by eye. thrust to weight?..it looked a bit loose in the quarter rolls and tracking dead straight throughout looked difficult.. as compared with the F16 which looks like its on rails..
It's certainly up there in defensive posturing roll when in conjunction with modern anti aircraft systems most gen 5 would think twice about engaging with the typhoon in close quarters but gen 5s can engage at extremely long distance.

Why didn't this win at RIAT 2019 in London? Finnish Hornet won. Where was RAF? Same way about 2018 when Finland grabbed the Douglas Bader Trophy. (Can't be the age thing. RAF is two weeks younger than Finnish Ilmavoimat. The Royal Air Corps was of course older but that's a tad different. Separate branches of the military, well, there you go.)

It comes for some Red Flags and the Germans have a training ground in the US in Arizona (?) and sometimes are in LV but for an airshow, I don't think so. It costs a lot of money to fly those birds over the atlantic with a tanker aircraft / or landing 3x.
Another great video !! Canada sure does have a tough choice to make , been narrowed down to 4 for our future jet fighters. Unfortunately the Dassault Rafale pulled out of the competition :( But our Gov is going to decide between the F35A , F18 Super Hornet , Gripen E and the Eurofighter Typhoon .. Any other "Arm-chair" Generals have thoughts on these choices ?? Personally I'd like to see the Rafale or F15(X) added to the competition and dare I say , we build an updated "Avro Arrow" :)

Given Boeings stunt with Bombardier, I doubt Canada would want a Boeing. I think the most likely choice for them is F35 but I can see Canada also buying Eurofighters. Not Gripen though, would be good but politics....

They need to keep pushing! Some of the Gripen displays I've seen make the Typhoon look dull, this display however looks very impressive!

I'm sure I saw one of these taking off from Cosford when I was a kid, I was nearly a mile away and the sound hurt my ears. Awesome plane.
Wouldn't have taken off from cosford, runway is too short.
