Hello Joe. FYI, I'm a "newby" to Reaper, and I wanted you to know that I really enjoyed this video. So much, in fact, that I watched it twice. I was exposed to things that I had not been previously aware of, such as "Limiter", "Ripple editing" and other helpful info. Thanx for such a great tutorial. It helped me understand things I had not thought about previously. Keep up the great work. Can you do a video on the "primary plug-ins"? What they're called and what they do/how to use them. Maybe other "newby" viewers/Reaper users would also learn from such a tutorial.
Hi Raymond, I'm glad it helped! There is definitely going to be more Reaper content coming soon. It's my recommendation for beginners as it's also great for advanced stuff and it's really good value.
when importing track files the sound is very low can barely hear anything i just have a headphone no other hardware any idea how to fix it , i think its a audio device setting issue .
Audacity is very basic. It's multitracking functionality isn't great. Reaper or Ableton would both work. I find my Reaper more straightforward. They're all free or have free trials though so it's worth trying them and seeing how they go for you.
You can trun audio to midi easily and then use the lilchordbox script in Reaper to detect chords and then use chordgun or any other scripts to easily change midi chords. It's a bit more than S1 to set up but the workflow feels much faster and easier than S1 or Cubase.
no way i found another joe crowe ,i guess my family added the e in mississippi not sure why,is crow a common family name in not sure where in the uk you are?
I would love to say it's my family name but it's not. It's based off someone I was named after - and it's much easier to spell and remember than my family name 😅
Joe this was really helpful. Thank you very much you make this easy to follow and understand makes a difference as I am not a techie.
This is so helpful! Thank you!!
Great tutorial! Can’t thank you enough!
Couldn’t recommend Reaper more. Love it 🔥
Thank you. Very useful tips

Which one is better for recording voice and instrument in the same time , Reaper or Ableton Live or Audacity?

Can reaper detect chords like Studio One 6 or Cubase 12(chord track)?

The ripple edit is everything I’ve been missing😂😭
It's essential for podcasts!
Reaper took my soul away
Wow, useless for an instrumentalist. Hip hop here we go, drag and drop a file created in a software that works.
