I didn't know much about greyhounds apart their obvious "built for speed" trait, but after seeing several videos about them I understood "reired" greyhounds are sweet souls that are revealing their goofy, tender and playful nature when people take the time to cater to their affective needs while properly introcuding them to their new environment.

Poppy was broken before you saved her! Thank you so much for not rescuing her but saving her from that God awful dog racing!!! Dog racing shouldbe outlawed in every country ! Poppy is beautiful!
Years ago, I had a couple of racing greyhound rescues. They had been treated like livestock up to that point, so understandably, they had a lot of decompression to do, and a lot of learning how to be doggies to do as well. They continued to have their quirks, but they sure were a couple of sweethearts, and I still think about them often.

I have seen people using pets as Emotional Support animals but I have never seen a Dog using Stuff Toy as her Emotional Support Bunny is her Emotional Support Toy 🧸, just Love it 💕
I can understand Poppy!! She is a retired racing greyhound!! It takes her awhile to adjust to her new surroundings!! So when her mom bought her a stuffed Toy!That did the trick!! So Thank You To Her Mom, Emma!! You Are A Good Parent!!

Greyhounds are fantastic doggos and they LOVE plushies. If they have several they will go to great effort to pile them exactly where and how they want them.

dont the race industry use 'bunnies' to get the dogs to run and chase after? i always thought it was odd that ppl use stuffed bunnies for comfort. glad its working...my sister had a racer but he didnt run many races before being retired lol...guess he didnt win enough
