As we are about to be halfway through the Year, only 5 Cardinals Left to turn 80 this Year: August 5th - Cardinal Polycarp Pengo: Archbishop emeritus of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania September 15th - Cardinal Mauro Piacenza: Major Penitentiary emeritus of the Apostolic Penitentiary (Italy) September 25th - Cardinal Jean-Pierre Ricard - Archbishop emeritus of Bordeaux, France October 10th - Cardinal Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo - Archbishop emeritus of Caracas, Venezuela & December 24th - Cardinal Oswald Gracias - Archbishop of Bombay, India
The Capuchin cardinal, the blogging cardinal.... how could one forget... Happy birthday, your excellence. It's a pity that we'll see you less from now on.
@@john_mccarthy_hihe was born in Ohio state. He is now the cardinal archbishop of Boston Massachusetts. I don’t know what people don’t understand. Look it up and thank me later
@@AntJWarrenok that I agree with. He did his work as the Cardinal Archbishop of Boston and he is a very good, kind, caring cardinal. One who is for the people
Happy Birthday Cardinal O’Malley! Now, will he retire and if so, who will be the new Archbishop of Boston? Please pray he’s a good one who will uphold THE REAL TRUTH!
O'Malley is known as the fixer. He had to take over the Diocese of Palm Beach in Florida, because the church had two bishops in a row who turned out to be perverts. Then there was the Bernard Law scandal, so they sent him up there. Apparently, there is a shortage of decent clerics in Boston, because although O"Malley reached the normal mandatory retirement age of 75 five years ago, I guess they are keeping him on as Archbishop while they look for a non-pervert who can trusted to take charge of the Archdiocese.
It’s not unusual for the Pope not to accept a bishop’s mandatory letter of resignation when they reach 75, especially when they head a major diocese or archdiocese. However, it is very rare for the Pope to let that bishop remain in the position once he reaches 80. It’s my guess that Pope Francis will now accept the previously submitted resignation and fill the position with someone who he believes shares his vision of what the Catholic Church should be. Also, Francis is 88 and would likely want to be the one to fill such an influential position while he is able to.

Cardinal O'Malley is the Cardinal Archbishop of Boston, in Massachusetts, not Ohio.
He was born in Ohio
you're thinking of New Boston, Ohio

He was born in Ohio. But he should be referred to as the Archbishop of Boston, not as a cardinal from Ohio.

A good man, Priest and faithful servant of Christ.
I think Pope Francis is waiting for as many of Benedict's Cardinals to retire or turn 80 before stepping down.
Seàn is not a Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) name; whereas Seán is an Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge) given name, with its correct diacritical mark (síneadh fada).
What is his fitness secret besides positive thinking, meditation and exercise? He looks fit to me.
Oh, yes another of those nonsensical reforms by Montini...

There was a time of Church when human lived more than 300 years. The time then and the time now. Nevertheless I will talk with my brother.

the RC Church is "a cage of every unclean bird". Come out from her that you be not a partaker of her plagues.

One of the most liberal anti Christian cardinals of all time. 🤮
I’m Pope Christ.
every pope says, "I am Christ" = the Antichrist
