Well, there are a few megas that get worse after they mega due to them losing their ability…
But could you imagine switching in Incineroar setting up Intimidate and then Mega evolving to get like stamina or something 💀💀💀

Don’t feel like gen 6 needs to be saved, I think it was good for it’s time. It looks bad now compared to other gens but in reality it did good because it brought the best mechanic and the fairy typing
I think Snivy fits better than chikorita is, after all, based on French royalty
Expect not only Mega Charizard Z, but also Mega Charizard A, Mega Charizard Z-A, Mega Charizard XY, and Mega Charizard XYZ-A

best vid so far 👏 personally i think it would be cool if the game took place during a kind of steampunk era (sort of in the middle of past & future) : ) i wasn’t really too hype before but seeing all the possibilities of when this game could take place has me super excited.
I think they might save steampunk for a Galar Legends game but I’m not gonna rule it out! There are so many possibilities to consider that I don’t even mind how early we got this announcement! The pokemon community will feed off of this for a long time LOL

Someone said that they may make a legend to represent the A of Z-A which would make sense with the patterns on the Z and the A

Starter wise, I really think they’re not gonna receive a regional form, I feel like they’re 100% going to get megas and I don’t think Game Freak would give a mega to a regional form and leave the original Pokémon to the side, so I’m expecting the new trio to receive megas instead of a regional form (I also think they wouldn’t leave the Kalos trio behind AGAIN, so I think they will receive megas as well and we will be able to pick them in the game, similar to the Kanto starters in gen 6)
And talking about which Pokémon I think will be chosen: Empoleon, Cinderace and Serperior :)

I think the game is gonna take place right after the war because it says “rebuilding the city” (or something like that) but I wouldn’t really mind as long as it’s as good as legends Arceus
I agree, I loved Arceus so if a game has Legends in the title I feel it’s gonna be a banger!

I will say it can "save" the gen 6 games by simply not being like them.
What i mean by this is being a Pokemon city builder type game instead of the whole region, just focus on the 1 town and build it up and deal with the issues that arise as they come. This would be a fresh take for the games.
I personally have noticed a very interesting trend with Pokemon games and their sales numbers, the less invasive the story is the better they sell.
Now i personally enjoyed X and Y, it has its issues with the story but every evil team sucks in Pokemon (minus team Rocket and team Magma), it's why they stopped making them try to destroy the world since gen 6.
It's not believable as there is a police force, who never helps out. Now they're just a minor menace to you and not really a big issue for society which makes much more sense.

I don’t think they skipped it, if they made a Gen 6 normal remake then yeah I’d agree. I think they are capitalizing off of the success of PLA and thought Kalos would be a good candidate for the next Legends game.

Which I hope too and that it introduces 185-215 brand new Pokémon as well as 50 new mega evolutions, especially mega flygon which was going to be in Pokémon x and y but the artist had a mind block and mega flygon never came, but this time I hope it comes😊

The gen has great legendaries (Zigarde not included, always found this one not interesting) but the main Duo is just super good as a concept and their design are really nice.
The rest of the generation tho ? It would be nice to have old pokemons have regional designs. That could be a good addition (regional sub-species is one of their best ideas in general).
I hope the city is not in the past but since the switch hardware is so bad (and they can't optimise for sh*t) it will take place in the past (less buildings/stuff on screen).

XY is the weakest in the series as a region due to difficulty primarily and few other minor factors but its groundwork was still there. There is plenty there to get excited for expanded lore.

The starters are gonna be snivy torchick and piplup i'm gonna die (people say that torchick couldn't be the fire starter since blaziken has a mega but they could give blaziken are regional variant and give a torchick that can evolve into regular blaziken with the megastone by mystery gift like they did in XY).
I have heard people say since snivy and piplup are royal-esque pokemon they think the starters are going to be them but I am just not convinced.
In Legends Arceus they chose 2 starters that needed some love (Typhlosion and Samurott) and then Rowlet because of his popularity. That’s what I based my picks off of!
Well i don't think that the popularity is what matered most when they chose the staters they chose them more based on the fact that they fit japanese culture . So by that principle Empoleon (based on Napoleon) Blaziken (based on a rooster aka the national animal of France)and Serperior (based on french kings) would be perfect for legends Z-A@@readitandweeb

Sorry don't mean to be disrespectful but just wanna address something that's been on my mind ever since gen 6. People just hate on Charizard for getting special treatment then y do those same people not hate on Greninja for getting special treatment without the other two starters from its gen getting any special treatment. Not just Greninja but Mewoth too has got so much of special treatment but no one complains bout it, all they can see is Charizard getting special treatment whereas it's not the only one getting theat special treatment. Charizard is still the mascot of the original Pokemon games so it only seems fair to get that special treatment like the yellow thing does, u don't like it that's fine but if u wanna complain then complain bout every Pokemon that gets a special treatment and don't be biased

I think Gen 6’s lore is good, but the Team Flare storyline is just pretty weak imo
AZ and the history of Kalos is top notch though!

That the ONLY returning Pokémon are those that were introduced in generation 6 and those that already have mega evolution

red flag numbers2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are it taking place entirely within lumiose city, my hype hit zero once i saw that official tweet, i adore gen 6....but i'm probably gonna be skipping this
gen 6 saved the series with the move to 3d models in mainline game and with the introduction of mega evolution after the steaming pile of gen 5. gen 4 was kind of a slump/slope and then gen 5 was just well garbage before spiking back up with gen 6, this has happened a bunch of different times over the course of the series after all gen 2 is generally considered a slump or a simple extension of gen 1 before the spike that was gen3. We also see it with gen 7 only kind of holding on due to the introduction of regional forms into the slump of gen 8 with the understandable backlash over the national dex cut and the removal of megas for the mediocre at best replacement of dynamax and gigantamax. Of course gen 8 also brought us one of if not the best game in the series with the first legends game, which puts gen 9 in a weird spot as i believe a lot of people only bought it because they were hoping to see all the goodies from legends in the new gen.

@@readitandweebI could be wrong but I think they’re saying Gen 6 is over so it can’t be saved. I don’t think they’re saying Gen 9 is bad, but that this game is Gen 9 not 6 and therefore cannot save an old Gen. I could be completely wrong though.

New Megas would need a major change in direction in how thy're designed.
Megas were way too overdesigned to where they looked plain ugly most of the time. They tried way too hard to make them look "mega".
I actually can agree with this, but I will say I think they do that so you can differentiate a mega evolution vs a normal evolution.
Snivy would be a good pick for the grass type since its quite a royal pokemon
Yeah I considered Snivy, but based on Legends Arceus they didn’t pick the starters seemingly for anything relating to ancient Japan, so I think they picked Typhlosion and Samurott because they aren’t as popular of starters. Rowlet is super popular so I used kind of that same formula!
