    All those years in prison and he’s managed to convince himself it really wasn’t his fault. He’s happy to talk and talk and talk about himself and all his so called revelations he’s had about the WHY he is what he is…but he’s not gonna talk about killing innocent people that did nothing to him. He’s not going to talk about the pain and suffering of the family and friends left behind. I can’t listen to him drone on and on about all his suffering.

      I’ve known him 25 years. He’s truly repentant and only talks about the Bible and Jesus Christ. As far as him blaming a demon, you have no idea about how dangerous the occult is. UA-cam ex satanists or ex new Age to glean a better understanding. Laura maxwell has some good stuff.
      It’s hard to comprehend Gods mercy and forgiveness but it’s very realllll! Even on a Berkowitz Dahmer or you or your boss or sex traffickers or…
      Gods mercy extends to all. I hope you seek Christ for yourself. Tc

      So you can see into his heart? Just because you've not killed anyone doesn't make you a better person in front of God = all sins are equal in front of God. We all need to repent for rebelling against God and ask his forgiveness which He will give when you ask Him.
      David took years to forgive himself for his evil murders, as he couldn't believe God could forgive him. Years of reading the Bible he has now "found the peace of God which surpasses all understanding"
      He said he never wants to get out of prison as his punishment is here on earth but He knows by God's loving grace He will be free in heaven.

      @Alpha_WK 4 місяці тому +10

      @@MauiGirl276 I’ve noticed that for a very long time. He talks about “the people I hurt” another thing is all he cares about is being forgiven! On and on about being forgiven through Christ.
      But here’s the kicker, I believe he experiences guilt and that’s the reason he can’t directly confront what he did. Remorse? No I haven’t seen remorse. Remorse manifests itself in a physical way like crying, openly admitting to what you did. So I see feelings of guilt and regret but no remorse whatsoever..
      the other thing to keep in mind is that he’s a paranoid schizophrenic. Probably medicated but probably still quite mentally ill. Also he’s a psychopath. You’re just not going to get remorse from a psychopath.

    • @michaeltennapel2182
      @michaeltennapel2182 3 місяці тому +7

      Because he is a psychopath and a schizophrenic. He does not feel remorse or empathy for others he isnt capable of it. He believes he was not acting as himself and that a demon was responsible for his actions. as for guilt, he plead guity, not criminally insane. he knew what he had done.

    • @Alpha_WK
      @Alpha_WK 3 місяці тому +6

      @@michaeltennapel2182 I agree with what you’ve said with one caveat. I think during his crimes and for a long time before that he was delusional. I don’t discount his original explanation for the crimes. That is I think he truly believed in his delusional stories about demons an dogs. It was only after he was medicated after his arrest that he could understand that his delusions weren’t real. And yes, he became a psychopath when he began attacking people. He’s still delusional but it’s a religious delusion at this time.
      Ps. This is my opinion. It isn’t medical fact. If you’ve read his letters before he was arrested I think you would see DB was very ill for a long time. I am not excusing his crimes. I’m trying to find an explanation and there doesn’t seem to be one

    • @brianhaley4471
      @brianhaley4471 3 місяці тому +4

      Thats just your opinion. I would do the same after taking responsibility for my crimes, by calling them crimes, etc. which he does and says repeatedly, "not to make excuses" for what I did or the crimes. It'll never be good enough for anyone. He accepts what he did and accepts he will live the rest of his life in prison for his actions. He's also been forgiven by God. When that happens, you are not free from guilt but are free from the horrors of guilt. Its just a fact.

      He believes it was demonic possession and talks about what he was into and what was already in his heart and mind before that and that he also knew people who were satanists .
      He mentions it in his interviews on the Michael Franceze Channel .
      Elsewhere on the tube are interviews with priests who were trained at the Vatican to do exorcisms .
      Some of these people exorcized were talking in a bizarre foreign language and when they had linguists listen to the tapes of it , it turned out some of these people were speaking in ancient languages that very few people alive could have known ...
      They say this is often the case with demonic possession ... or knowing personal things about the excorcist priest's life that they couldn't have known .
      So in his own way he warns about satanism and to stay away from it ... Annette sometimes dark thoughts in your heart and mind will invite demons in .

    As an adopted person i found this very interesting and im wondering if he is right because i definitely had self destructive behavior growing up. My brother who was also adopted had self destructive behavior so thats interesting. Now we have never killed anybody but i just found that part interesting. Fair play to him for not going for parole every two years and putting the families through that pain. Ive never heard of anybody doing that ever. This doesnt excuse his crimes and the pain he caused to their families and the victims losing their lives. Jeffery Dahmer also knew that there was something very wrong with him and was very soft spoken. I just find it fascinating what goes on in their minds. Unfortunately they have caused unbelievable pain to people, very tragic. Are they wired wrong? Or is it something else?

    Scrivo in italiano. Sono davvero scioccata dal fatto che molta gente non abbia voluto capire che quest’uomo era malato, è stato un bambino silenzioso, non integrato e solo, e la sua solitudine, depressione e sicuramente una malattia che covava in lui dalla nascita (certe malattie mentali possono essere ereditarie e condizionate da fattori esterni) lo hanno portato a sviluppare una gravissima patologia che gli faceva sentire le voci (basta documentarsi in vari siti di psichiatria). Mi domando come si possa non capire che questa persona avesse una malattia, che forse in carcere si è calmata per vari motivi (forse cure psichiatriche con farmaci e con la preghiera), stando lontano da stimoli esterni. Non c’è molto da capire. Non so dove sia internato, se in un carcere normale o psichiatrico, ma è sottinteso che doveva essere curato. Posso capire che non lo abbiano perdonato i familiari delle vittime, ma che mezzo mondo non abbia avuto la minima volontà di documentarsi sulle malattie mentali per capire perché certe persone arrivino a commettere omicidi plurimi, dimostra quanto la specie umana sia povera di comprensione delle cose e delle condizioni cliniche, così come fa lo stato (anche quello italiano) che non fa molto per aiutare le famiglie che hanno figli malati come lui. È evidente che sia un bene che ora quest uomo sembri stare meglio, per non essere più un pericolo per nessuno e per se stesso. Non parlo da santa che perdona tutti, ma da persona che ha avuto la decenza di documentarsi sulle malattie che colpiscono la mente e le sostanze chimiche che compongono il cervello umano e che possono portare una persona a fare cose incomprensibili. Il cervello non è una macchina sempre funzionante, ma come vedete ora questa persona riesce a ragionare, ma è bene che resti lì, se non viene seguito da una seria terapia psichiatrica accompagnata da psicofarmaci. Mi auguro che lo abbiano curato e che da quegli anni ad oggi, la sensibilità della gente verso certe malattie sia molto aumentata. Secondo voi perché una persona decide di uscire di casa ed eccedere e lasciare biglietti? Perché è semplicemente cattiva? Perché non sa cosa fare? Perché è disoccupata? La risposta è solo una: ha una malattia, e se c è una malattia ciò che bisogna fare è studiare il caso e curare, invece di farlo diventare un personaggio di fama mondiale.

How can you say that God could not save wretched souls like David and myself?! Is there anything to hard for the Lord? Jesus came to save the sinners but the righteous. Beware if the leaven if the pharisees. Don't be so puffed up in pride thinking you are any better than the rest of us. We all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God that we all need saving. If God can save people like David and I, He can save anyone. You are not God or Jesus, humble yourself before the Lord abd repent. Btk, hillside strangler, golden state killer, Ramirez, dahmer, hh Holmes. They were all sickos. Not making an excuse for Berkowitz and I dont believe he would make an excuse for himself either. I feel bad for people that are adopted and have to go through the mental anguish if finding out and feeling unwanted, it's actually one of the most upsetting and lonely feeling things that a person might find out, and don't get me wrong I understand they may feel alone in this world but I don't believe anything makes taking another human beings life because of your plight and what a person's been handed in life, killing others isn't in any way going to change anything only makes everything way, way worse as this man has to live with every single day of the rest of his life, it's sad that people end up feeling the way he did but a hell of a thing to live with for sure.

    Yes I would say he has changed and I can somewhat relate to when he was talking to that lady in a letter she said she forgave him I actually contacted innocent victims myself not asking for forgiveness but I wanted them to know how truly sorry I was for almost taking 3 innocent life's and again not asking forgiveness or not to hate me I wanted them to know how sorry I was and how bad it bothered me for ten years or so and the lady forgave me told me not to worrie about it it's the past but it was hard not to worrie about and there's not a day that doesn't go by I still think about that lady and her two kids but when I was forgave I wasn't expecting that it broke my heart 3 times as bad but it also helped me but really blew my mind when she said everyone was doing fine and she forgave me along time ago

    Why will tell a 4/5 years old child her mom died giving birth to him.? He wasn’t even a pre- k aged child at the time unable to understand death. Even for the 1950s standards mentality that was a not smart thing to do to say the least. Sometimes, I think David is a product of the time’s deficiencies he grew up plus the loneliness he was experiencing. I believe the murders came about as the results of David lashing out with pain. Perhaps, getting associated with the wrong crowd didn’t helped him. Fotos of his Yonkers apartment tells me everything I need to know about his current date to date life back then.

      Jesus saves - NOBODY! You have to work hard to make changes within yourself. No one is coming to save you from your problems - not jesus, not aliens, not angels. You are your own savior. Healing from trauma is incredibly hard and becoming super religious is a way to not do the work on yourself. It's called spiritual bypass and is one of the worst things you can do for your mental health.
