I’m a gear head… 9 tents, 5 sleeping bags, 6 different packs, 3 canoes etc… I’ve done a ton of research over the twenty years collecting that stuff. Each with its specific application. It’s a lot of work to find good dependable gear and sorting out the crap from the quality. Your site makes all that easy. It’s great. I’m not blowing smoke… thanks dude.

Getting back to these overnighter or bushcrafting, building videos is great. Spend time with your girls while you can.when they get older and start there own lives you won't see them as often.
You know.. im sitting in my homeoffice since 2020 (As a game developer) and am so lucky to work from home and have fantastic people like you get me through the day. 9 to 5 (or 10 to 6 for me lol) can be hard. But be thankful for what you have and what you will have someday!

I loved this. I loved that you brought that adorable and handsome Wolf with you. I could almost smell those sausages sizzling and feel the warmth from those glowing ember coals. I can’t get out there like I once could, so these types of videos are a fantastic way for me to relax and also learn a few new things along the way.
Nice overnighter with Wolf. He laid down in the tent so nice at bedtime. The woods are so beautiful in the fall. There's nothing like sitting by a campfire to think things through. I had a 9-5 job for 30 years and camping was my getaway. Your girls are growing up and you'll be walking them down the aisle before you know it. How's that for time flying. Been a fan for a few years and the last time that I went camping was with my dad when I was a kid. Recently just went again with some friends and fell in love with it all over again. Anyway needed to get a few things for the next time and I know the gear you use is some of the best so Im so happy that you have a shop now that also directly supports you! I honestly miss the skill videos. I maintain that without the knowledge that I gained from watching you over the past few years, I would have had a much worse time when I got stuck in a white out in Wyoming last year. You taught me how to survive in the snow.
Hey Joe, love all the content t you have made. Just an idea, how about making a big permanent shelter ready for the winter but closer to home. That way you have a project on your doorstep. Loved the way you built that. Loved Scout and Tripper but the way Wolf destroyed that bacon and tried to burn the evidence was class. I think he has abit of each of them in him lol

The hours of planning, execution of that plan, filming and editing. That’s a real job. If you weren’t self motivated you wouldn’t be where you are today. As for putting your family as a priority that’s huge. You blink and your daughter calls to say she’s engaged. Life goes by so quickly. Me, I’m beginning my second childhood as I retired in June. Yes I’d rather have your job over a “real” job. Wolf is an excellent dog he’s growing so fast. He’s becoming a true camping companion

Most of us with 9 to 5's work to facilitate time with family and you should be no different. Your fans are just happy to see you mess around in the wild doing stuff we want to be doing and not feeling pressure to release content. A happy Joe makes for great content. Sometimes less is more!
