“Me and this cow are blood brothers now” lol
who else but Joe would say that
That's a rap verse right there.
Well I see you Joe with Trooper sure is pretty over there in Canada I live in the Southwest the cactus patch state I called Arizona boy I wish we would get rain we are about a hundred and forty something days with no rain well I like the Fall colors take care and have fun
I do that style of steak at home in my fireplace
Yeah bro
Tripper was sent to teach you patience lol..
Lol, yes.....yes indeed
18.18 Joe " I want the fire a good step away"
Just as Trippers ball rolls into frame and right where you want your fire 🤣
Come on Daddy!!! Play time 🤣🤘
I started to watch these during some bad times of my life and I have always enjoyed these videos and they never get old
Yes same with me
Me too mate.
We all are same Sir...enjoy this video with fresh coffee and nite snack
I started watching Joe during a bad round of chemo. Joe’s videos rekindled my love of the outdoors, which has really helped me deal with the depression that sometimes comes from having an incurable brain tumor. 🤙😎
They never get old is an understatement. Ive watched Joe's full length "10 days alone in the wild" at least 5 times lol
Thanks for the chance Joe, Enjoy each and every one of your videos
Tripper: finally rips ball in half
Joe: you broke it
Tripper: BUT now there are two.
Hey Joe,. you need to go backwards, rather than forwards with the can opener, keep the little lip on the edge and draw it round as you raise and lower the cutting edge.
I was just about to comment this. #triggered
I def raised an eyebrow at this as well. It was surprising how uncomfortable it was to watch. But then id take a P51 with me every time rather than rely on a Leatherman for can opening tasks.
@@jasonroos5781 dude when I saw him I was like "WTF Joe doesn't know how to use a can opener?!?!?!"
@@theadventureexpedition3619 lol sooooo many comments on this! ad ive done this exact thing on video countless times with no response lolol
LOL! I was about to post the same thing until i decided to look first. Yep, when you screw up online, it's forever!
I miss Scout, but he wasn't a good boy
He was the best of boys
I imagine tripper will be better once he gets a bit older. Young dogs tend to be excitable and just want to play. Plus, the maturity and additional training time make for a better companion animal.
😢
True dat
you can only love the dog you have for who they are, it's the personality they bring to your life that's great and they are all the best boys if your treat them like family, even the hypo ones trippppppperrrrrrr! lol
What training lol
Damn Tripper!! He thought you were about to choke on the bean. I guess you won't be eating this!!! As he makes his move on the steak. Hahaha. Sweet little spot there. thx for the adventure Joe.
Either that or he was like, ‘I know Heimlich!’
Hey brother, I know how stressful any surgery can be, and my daughter had the same constricted tear duct issue. took us 3 surgeries and tubes in her ears, and thankfully that was it. Praying for your daughter and your family, that nothing else is needed.
Let's all keep in mind that Tripper is still very young. Dogs take a while to be trained and become well behaved.
Their like children!!!
I totally agree, and every breed has a different energy level and temperament. My 18-month old Great Pyrenees is a great camper and hiker. Lays at my feet by the fire all day: BUT barks loudly at night if he hears anything going on. I’m forever saying “Louis, it’s ok,” but he barks nonetheless. They all are capable of learning, however. It just takes patience and effort.
Shane B. I couldn’t agree more! He’s still a pup yet, he’ll settle down a bit in a couple more years
Except Shiba's, they will never listen. (Still love'em though).
I think Tripped is doing great!!! He has come a long way you have done a great job Joe!!
Nothing better than Joe’s videos on a Rainy Sunday
Yep
Facts
Actually getting out and doing it is better
@@barnastil591 some of us cant due to physical or mental limitations...but yes doing it sounds better...lol.
Love your videos,thanks.
Hey joe! I've been a sub for a good 6 or 7 years now, i don't comment that much but i just wanted to say thank you for the videos i have always enjoyed them and still do.
I'm in the same boat buddy I see them all I just done talk hahaha
Tripper cracks me up... he is like a toddler always in the way , always talking and carrying on in the background and always care free
Tripper is very 'vocal' today. Too funny
I see Tripper is channeling (and honoring) his inner Scout by going after the branches! Good boy Tripper!
Robert Tisch This 💯 percent!! Bro does the *EXACT* same thing Scout did!! 🤣
🐺 “Oh boy..oh boy...gots to get all da’ sticks...ALL da’ sticks!!!” 🐺
Nice video Joe ! good to see ya out with Trip, seems like he makes thing interesting haha thanks for taking us along !
I've honestly watched like 50 of your videos and watched some more then twice. Joe is my guilty pleasure 😂😂
Who all thinks that joe is the best Bush craft youtuber
Agree, the one who really disappointed was Zold. Great camping vids then he got into that trapping shit . He’s struggling financially big time right now
Yes Love his videos.. Love when a new one comes out.
@@dundeetaylor8925 agreed
Naysayers about Tripper just please stop. He is a young dog with high energy...my Bulldog on the other hand sleeps all day and will only walk far enough if there is something in it for him...like food...it is the nature of the breed. Dutch Shepards are high energy working dogs with an incredible sense of smell loyalty intelligence and seeking behavior...he will eventually learn his tasks and place in the outdoor environment the more he goes with Joe. Keep up the good work Joe and Tripper and well wishes are sent to Autumn.👍🏻
Very true.
He’s clearly well trained and appears to be manageable... but WOW, is that dog full of piss and vinegar 🤘🏻😄
People also need to understand he is a dutch shepherd basically german shepherds on speed
Scout was always into pirating the freshly cut wood from the fire pile...even when he was a bit older! A playful, intelligent dog is a fine thing, especially if that dog is watchful and protective in the woods.
I like that Mary Hunt
People commenting about it probably have never trained a dog😂
Looks like a great spot for future vids. Hope your Baby girl is ok. Thanks Joe.
Not being able to go out camping in the British outdoors this year has sucked
But watching the adventures of Joe, Tripper and family is definitely a good alternative! :D
28:27 I think you got it wrong, Joe. The can opener you're using was to be used in reverse instead of forward unlike the Swiss knife. You'll find it much easier to use and smoother cutting to the can's top.
Watching this reminding me of how you regret to throw sticks to play fetch with the Scooter (Scout). How it ruined him when he kept taking sticks from you while you're axing and sawing and how it's getting more dangerous when he try to catch falling trees you axed too. Miss the crazy guy.
so many comments on this already...
Thanks very much for the backward can opener technique!!!
Tripper be like: but Joe, why do we always have to go back and pick up the camera?
2:25 I have to clear the trees and branches out of this space, (Big toss and Tripper retrieves and places it at Joe's feet). Lol.
Lovely woodland- really enjoyed this simple camp- Tripper is so much fun, love listening to him telling Joe what he wants.
love waking up to new Joe videos! My 4 year old son and I have been watching since he was born. Keep 'em coming bud. (Greetings from Idaho)
Great seeing you Joe with your dog. A little more high spirited than the other but still helpful and strong. He's a teenager. Teenagers these days gave no respect and think their the parent.
Exactly
@@josephallen19 Tripper's probably grumbling to himself that he did all the patrolling as you slept. I noticed that when you stood up, he went to lie down as if it were your turn to check the perimeters 😏
Tripper going ham on roots while Joe's just talkin' away is my new favorite thing XD I hope he has a fast and solid recovery
Man, did you ever name him so correctly! He is a TRIP! Loved how you were showing what other gear you brought & he was just a digging away in the photobomb! LOL!
Tripper is a funny dog. Joe knocks tree down, trip just starts gnawing at it. Regardless of size. Don’t ever dress your kids up as trees for Halloween.
Another great video Woodsbrother! Always calms me down and brings me to a better place and time,I thank you for that , ever thought you'd be "therapy " ¿ Watching your adventures is a family affair, my wife loves watching them with me,Ya got us thru some tough times while my Tigress fought off and best 2 types of cancer at once,I'll never be able to repay you for that! Thank you again Woodsbrother. Edit: "that's Brisk baby"= Lipton iced tea commercial.
You got it!
Woohoo, Sunday just became a lot brighter! Tripper is turning into a wonderful companion for you and luckily for him you have the patience to let that relationship grow. It's going to be fun watching him weave his own story in your videos. Thanks for entertaining us, best wishes that your daughter grows in health.
That camera you have is so clear it’s like we’re right there with you nice work
Good morning Joe and Family from Maine !
Hey Joe. Your videos inspire me every time I watch them. My dad just bought a 37 acer property and I plan to set up a semi permanent camp. Once again keep up the great work!
Tripper is like.."Yeah, yeah, yeah... chop trees, tie sticks together, make fire. Come on Joe...the ball, o.k.? The BALL, dude!"
"Never throwing a stick for my dog again", You said that with Scout too :-) RIP. Thanks for the videos.
These are my favorite uploads. My brother and I are going camping in a couple of weeks and watching these are great for getting ideas on what we can do. Thanks Joe!
The passion you have for your work makes me so happy!😁❤
28:30 Joe, go backwards with the opener, not forwards.
HAHAHAHA, i was watching and thinking the same thing. Man can openers go the other way!! half the struggle man. Joe love the show and tripper is awesome. your show is my peace when i cannot get out!
#miss-scout2
I was going to pull my hair out watching that lol
Cold weather camping is definitely the most difficult to be prepared for. I've spent months at a time in similar conditions, including wind, rain and snow. I've learned to always wear any and all clothing at hand, to start with. If that's to warm, it's easier to open up the bag or blankets to cool off, than to add more layers if cold. You mentioned shivering at one point. I've been there in that same situation. Even though you're shivering and suffering, you don't want to leave your cocoon to add layers. Wind is the worst. It'll suck the warmth out of you very quickly like a radiator in your truck. Always take advantage of any kind of extra windbreak. Whether it's thick woods, a building, or just a depression in the terrain.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
As always, thanks for sharing your camping adventures, skills and gear. The sideshow that is Tripper is hilarious! Prayers fir Autumn's quick and complete recovery!❤
Brilliant! Just about to sit down to eat my Sunday roast and I see a new upload! 😋👍 I recently completed my first ever wild camp!

Could be fun to make a slingshot to fire balls for lil Tripper? 😍
Those leaves are breathtaking - almost pinkish and Tripper is crazy fun to watch. I learn something each time I watch one of your videos. Entertaining, as always. Good luck to your girl. Thanks, Joe.
I've carried a Leatherman for years. Very handy item. Might not use it alot, but it's great to have when you need it. For me, the perfect setup is a fixed blade, a folder and a multitool. Your mileage may vary of course. One thing though Joe, how come you never seem to carry a rag? Another handy item for alot of things. Sending good thoughts to Autumn!
I carry one often, just may forget to talk about it
Yeah, I suppose not very exciting talking about your snot rag.
Corey Alarie Same here...I never go on an outdoor adventure without a Leatherman. 99% of the time it stays in the pack, but when that 1% rolls around, it makes carrying the “unneeded” weight all those other times absolutely worth it. For example, one time my fingers got so cold, numb, and weak that I couldn’t untangle an unusual knot that my boot laces managed to get themselves into after a snowy winter mountain hike. My fingers couldn’t do the detail work, but the pliers on my Leatherman could! This allowed me to get my boots off quickly (after several minutes of dicking around trying to get my hands to do a normally simple task) and get into the tent to warm up my hands and body in my sleeping bag.
It wasn’t a life or death situation, but I still consider it a ‘saved my ass’ ( and hands 👐🏼!) moment! 🥶
Try going clockwise instead of counter-clockwise with the can opener, it's a lot faster, cleaner, and ergonomic
New to your community I love the way you keep throwing sticks during your clean up and the dog teams bring them back
Props joe on ur patience with trip.
He talks a lot more than Scout but he is also younger too. Scout was very mature by the time I first saw him.
I LOVE YOUR DOG AND THIS VIDEO JUST GREAT WORK.................
The cut at 23:47 was seamless. Always impressed by Joe's camera work. Feels like he's got a camera crew at times.
Love this ❤️
Yay, new joe video!.
Yay, Trippers there too!.
Triple yay, it's autumn, it's Canada and it's beautiful!!!.
Amazing cannot wait for this video! 🎉 happy Sunday
Old school Joe. Love it! Tripper's growing up and fitting right in. He's a cool character. Nice camp dude. Scrambled O well done! 🤣
Love the addition of the music while clearing camp. I wanted to thank you for putting out these videos and doing what you do. You are an inspiration and your attitude is awesome.
Why not start my afternoon with some joe and tripper lol and you said you wouldn’t toss sticks for you’re next dog lol now look what you started haha hope you had fun and stay safe
Right on Joe! Glad to see another video. You’re the first bushcrafter I found so always feel at home when I watch your vids. They don’t get old
Good to see you back to basics again. Now all we need is a few Bam-Sons and all is good!
Really wish Autumn well. Your videos have always been super relaxing, entertaining, and comforting to me personally
Great video Joe. Nice tarp, I was thinking of getting one but the ones I’ve looked at seem a lot denser/heavier. That one looks perfect. Love my silnylon but love the old canvas too
Steak and a fire in the wilderness can’t get better
Im praying for your family and your daughter Joe, you and your family will make it through this!
Hell yeah Joe! Watching while I finish the last touches on my album coming out on Oct 25th. What does everyone else do while watching ol Joe?
glad you went back to videos like this. The adventure ones you do are awesome but my personal favorites are the overnights with the dog or family. Keep up the good work, your content is fantastic!
Prayers for a full healing for Autumn.
Prayers going up for you and yours
He 'searches' really well.. good job.. one thing that helped my dog to find is I would make a throwing motion in the direction of the object.. took a min for her to figure it out.. but at least now I don't have to find her ball for her as often. *Love the fall colors.. any chance u will have time for a canoe trip before the color runs out?*
Your are going the wrong direction with the can opener. Make the initial hole, pull the can opener toward you until you contact unopened top and then lift again, to cut ~3/8 in. of top. You don't move forward with it, move backward, i.e., rotate the can counter clockwise.
What I was going to say. Joe pulled a Joe with the can opener. Haha
Which is the opposite of the Swiss Army style that Joe is used to.
Awesome joe, another good one.
Great job on the entire camp Joe. What a beautiful site. Tripper is really growing up.
🤣🤣 using the can opener the wrong way. It go backwards not forward. That’s way it took so long. Next time bud 👍
This is how i was taught, have always done and ever had a problem....i will continue to do it the wrong way lol
Joe Robinet 😉 just trying to pass it forward. 👍👍 love the videos keep up the good work!!
@@johnrockall2016 I was watching him do it and it was so grating, "You're doing it the wrong way man, it's taking way too long and too much effort for no reason!" Hehe.
@Joe Robinet You really should give it a try at using it the way John Rockall suggested at least once to see which works better for you. I think you’ll find that moving the can opener blade backwards instead of forwards from the newly made hole will virtually eliminate leaving parts of the lid uncut, which is what happened to you in a couple of spots, thus requiring you to have another go at them. I definitely understand that unsolicited advice from “ekspurts” in the comments can and DOES get really annoying🙄, but this one is a case where the advice is solid.👍🏻
Give it a try, bro, I think you’ll find sliding the blade backwards not forwards opens the cans much cleaner and faster...Cheers! 🍻
Joe Robinet our cans in UK have ring pulls
Havent seen it yet but great stuff as usual, now i will watch it...
with the can opener that you have on your Leatherman, it works easier if you slide it backwards as you cut. With the SAK (with small screw driver on the front), it works easier if you push forwards as you cut ?
I'll keep her in my prayers 🙏
10:51 when I get recommended a bushcraft channel that isn’t good ol’ joe
Thank you Joe, been watching your videos to cope with the Pandemic, love your dog, making me laugh 😆 keep safe and wish you and your family all the best.
I used to watch quite a few survival UA-cam channels but I don't even need to anymore, I always come back to you, man. Incredible work. I literally watch you as much as possible. Keep it up man. And damn, tripper is a hell of a partner
Love the videos Joe like a tv show once a week for a hour ♥️♥️♥️
You’re so amazing Joe!!! Thanks!!
Hey Joe il always love scout. Tripper has an amazing energy and so funny stay safe piece and love from 1 leg UK England
Joe, great choice on the bivy cover! Active US army uses them, might wanna check out a thing called a "woobie" (polyester and nylon poncho liner). It drys extremely quick, and it goes great with the bivy cover and a sleep system!
Love seeing you and the pup bud. Thanks, and cheers!
Favourite kind of video, nice one
Joe I never got the jerky or book I won a while back, no way to get in touch with you (Suzanne Robertson)
Need to follow through on your offers Joe. Never good if you don't.
Nothing better than Joe’s videos on a Rainy Sunday
Have you gotten it?
Perfect timing! New Joe video released so I can have something to watch on this cold rainy day.
Man I can't wait to see this spot in the snow! Great looking location.
When cooking beans or other canned food on an open fire, open the lid slightly more than halfway, then place the can next to fire, not directly on it. Check the contents and rotate until cooked. You have just saved washing up a pan and of course saved valuable water and time. God bless
I haven't got to that part in the video yet, but if he didn't cook it in the can..I think he said before old fashioned cans were okay, but the newer ones have bpa in them and you shouldn't cook it on a fire because it will leak into the food.
Not correct Morgan Hatfield. Get your facts straight. God bless.
@@rayescobar8509 www.scientificamerican.com/article/earth-talk-can-dont/
@@rayescobar8509 I guess the same goes for you?
Alexander. Thank you for your reply. This may have escaped your attention but the contents of all canned goods are treated to very high temperatures to preserve the contents. Modern canned goods often have high temperature applications to the inner lining of the cans. Common sense dictates that reheating the contents of can goods is harmful to health.
You believe what you want and the scientific American as you linked is not the paramount research. Where is your evidence relating to cooking food in cans. Millions upon millions of canned goods have been produced starting in the 1800s yet no evidence detrimental to human health has ever been proven God bless.
Hello to the early crew, have a blessed day,❤❤❤❤
Sounds like Autumn is doing well, so that is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing your life with us! You could do this same type of video every week and most of us would still watch it. :)
Love the videos, Joe. Hope your daughter feels much better and your mind is in the right place.
Joe dude. Love your videos but Damn... Who ever told you to use a can opener like that son? Same method but pull the can opener back and rotate the can counterclockwise. The blade on the opener is concave so it needs to be pulled against the steel. If it was convex you could push against it. Think about it!
use your can opener backward...instead of going in front of your last poke, go behind, it's easier ;-)
It always cracks me up when he first starts working on camp and tripper keeps dragging all the sticks back to where he just finished cleaning. Just like scout
love watching your videos Joe. Tripper looks great running around with his pack.
When you use the tin opener turn the can anti clockwise as it’s a smoother opener and it doesn’t create the jagged edges as bad
Ditto
Who is watching this first thing in the morning
With some smoked bacon :)
Yeah
That tarp looks of fine quality and a good size. Tripper is excited, but he will calm down, he’s a beautiful dog. You deserve that good steak, enjoy!
