Economy in Progress is a channel that focuses on making videos on interesting topics and I hope you do as well. You will find issues about modern-day financial wins and failures, industries that are thriving or struggling, and some personal finance as well. My goal is to talk about the topics that are not being talked enough about or not as in-depth as it could. I have a bachelor's degree in economy and management and this channel is an outlet for me to talk about my passion. Hopefully, you will enjoy it.

    Dude, this hurts my heart.
My best friend and I matched up with obo in MM when he was fucking 9 years old. we used to play super regularly over the years, and I even talked to his mom to ask her if he would be allowed to join our ESEA team, because he was still just a baby, man. He was the nicest kid we had ever come across online, too. We always said he was gonna win a major someday, and when he beat Astralis in that final, I was so proud, even though we had completely stopped playing or interacting by that point. This is not withdrawal from Adderall. This is way, way more than that. I hope he is getting the help he needs. Stay strong, lil bud. Hang in there, and take it one day at a time.

This type of media is not productive whatsoever and does not seek to improve the state that oBo is in, but rather utilise the community's speculation of him as fuel for garnering views. Throughout the video, you make it quite clear that you do not care for oBo himself, but rather you "finally had the chance to finish" a youtube video. In itself, creating a video that brings attention to the state of a community member is completely fine, but the real issue is the usage of statements of opinion as fact about his well being, and the utilization of his story to fit a narrative of 'the Dark Reality of an Esport SUPERSTAR".
This to me is clearly shown in the part of your video when analyzing a picture of oBo around the type stamp 4:08. Rather than creating a contrast and displaying how he use to look to how he looks now, you rather outright state without reason that he looks "awful" and "sick". This is then followed another opinionated claim that he "now looks ruined" . Because of this, it does feel like you are only framing these things in a way to fit a narrative that will succeed on UA-cam, rather than trying to create a video that treats this situation with care, as it is quite a serious topic. At 7:28, you continue to speculate about his status, with oBo being either "mentally insane or a young person just trolling" due to comment about a 'witch'. Although it is agreeable that the way he is talking can be perceived as weird, saying that he is either "not mentally sane" or "just trolling" shows a lack of care for the depth of analysis, as there are many more technical explanations to his current state of health which is already unknown.
Please ensure that if you are to create media centered around the health status of people within the community, approach it with an increased level of care and seriousness. Although the video has brought to light oBo's recent behaviour and perceived state of health, creating speculation can be a double-edged sword as we have seen with many prior influencers who have undergone psycho-analysis. The title itself "The Dark Reality of an Esports SUPERSTAR" implies to me that this is not a piece of media that is looking to get oBo help, but rather create buzz using his recent behaviour as the 'content.' This type of media feels incredibly reminiscent of channels such as Drama Alert that utilised people's mental health states as fuel to gain views. Please do not become that type of person.
TLDR because essay: Using people's mental states as a way to garner views and fit your narrative is disgusting and does not seek to actually benefit oBo. Such a topic necessitates an increased level of care and seriousness to ensure viewers are correctly informed about oBo and that the media isn't damaging to the person being analyzed. Why would you use tags like #DARK on a serious video about a person's mental state.

Finally, someone talked about oBo. It’s crazy to think that this guy had a large following alongside with Tenz & s0m, since a lot of people believed that these 3 were considered as the NA prodigies who could be able to save NA CS (sounds goofy but I ain’t joking lol). Also I don’t agree that minors, especially those who are under 16 or so, should be allowed to play professionally. These teenagers are still naive & immature, they haven’t really plan out the things they want to do in life then BOOM, they’re immediately struck with a huge amount of wealth & fame that could be mishandled without a proper guidance & responsibility. I feel like this is oBo’s case since he was exposed to adult life way too early & he wasn’t prepared for it. That’s just my two cents.
13:04 also just realized that we came up with a similar conclusion. Good video mann.

@@TheLopiola It all depends on the person, it would be wrong to refuse someone an extreme valuable chance of chasing their dream because a lesser than average amount can't handle it. It being a concern of the employer, employing personell to help the youngster and maybe even reference the parents to someone that could teach them how to better honestly evaluate whether their kid could handle it, I'm all for. My little brother got scouted by a sportsteam in another country with a private school to develop talents when he was 14 and moved there a couple months later when he became 15. He has now been there over 4 years. He tipped the scout about another talent from our country but he moved back 5ish months later unable to do it.

I don`t think people really understand how deeply this can affect someone mentally, especially at his age. It truly is a sad story and I wish the best for him.

I'd refrain from commenting on drug dosages with seemingly minimal knowledge to back it up. Only hearing his latest (and likely highest) dosage scheme doesn't really give anyone, regardless of expertise, anything to base such comments of unless the numbers are super abnormal.
As someone diagnosed with ADHD and soon having a bachelor degree within the medical field, Adderall 20mg x 3 daily sounds pretty high considering his body-composition but not unheard of, especially without knowing how long he's been using it and how fast his tolerance has built up over time. Btw, it isn't like you won't experience withdrawals from amphetamine if you have ADHD/ADD. Typical unmedicated ADHD rant inc ->
*Immediate-release(IR) and Extended-release(XR) suffix will be used on every medication universally to avoid confusion.
Due to misc. reasons I haven't been legally prescribed medicine for ADHD before the last 2 years I'd say but I chose (due to it being superior imo.) to go with another drug, sold under Ritalin or Methylphenidate. Their effects and chemical structure are pretty similar and dosage-conversion is done by multiplying the Adderall dose with two to get the Ritalin equivalent. My country has stopped/avoids prescribing the old immediate-release pills ("normal" pills e.g. just drug compound pressed together) which oBo seems to be using as it'd be nonsensical to take 3 x 20mg when the extended-release version (pill capsule filled w/ drug, "once daily"-version if you will) has a 30mg option, this is key if you want to make a more accurate assumption of someone's usage. IR/"normal" pills with drugs in this category will give the user a higher peak effect but will in return last far shorter and the average effect after the initial peak will be much lower. Given the advertised functioning time of Adderall IR, 5-8 hours (which sounds way optimistic tbh) and it underperforming a good amount of this time, it'd be normal to administer three times to be medicated during peak hours of the day.
Continuing with own experience. The secondary "before tolerance is built"-dosage guide for Ritalin XR after the usual "lowest dosage that produces goal", is 1 mg/kg or 1mg/2.2lbs bodyweight. I got prescribed the maximum dosage my doctor could give me despite being lighter due to high natural tolerance, Ritalin XR 80 mg (40 mg x 2) daily (Adderall XR 20 mg x 2 equivalent). I was offered to try other drugs to get better effect but I declined as it's a tedious process and a huge waste of time if it doesn't work out. Already from day 1 I'm ordered to take 75% of oBo's dose but wait, there is more. Due to the lower peak in the pharmacokinetic profile of the XR-version, I couldn't get the stimulation I wanted (which is why I had first tried to request the IR version) and turned to my normal shenanigans of not giving a flying fuck. I take them depending on my form and more importantly, what I've planned to do that day, resulting in pill surplus. Working & studying within the medical field, I do know how important it is to follow prescriptions to ensure safety but us ADHD-people never were ones to give a fuck anyway. I'll usually use a dosage of minimum 120 mg Ritalin XR on the days I take meds e.g. minimum oBo's dose. Granted I'm taller, broader and likely weigh more than oBo making me more likely to require more drugs by default, the point I'm trying to make is that it's not an outrageous amount to where it alone warrants some scaremonger statement like he's boombl4. I don't back this with only my own use but it should suffice.
My take tho aka sort of conclusion if you will. What do I think of the compound, strength, amount and dosage in relation to oBo? First of all, all this is kind of pointless without a proper current mental health analysis, former history and family traits but we can always give a general shot. As a person not following nor involved in the NA scene that might have more insight (don't fool yourself thinking people have tighter lips than your disabled cousin workin the pole), it's hard to deduce anything specific with this little info but it's clear this boy suffer(-ed) from some mental handicap. I call it handicap because diagnoses with these traits primarily hinders patients from functioning at even lowest range of normalcy. This video shows suicidal, depressed, delusional, negative orientated, rapid mood swings, manic and obsessive traits among some. I reiterate, any speculation on either cause, likelihood of recovery and potential permanent damage is baseless, the human mind is harder to grasp than the ghetto wiring the former owner of your slammed BMW made when he replaced the media unit. Could be chronic, underlying, trauma-induced, genetics, separated scenarios or have common source like Bipolar etc. Oddly enough he reminds me of 2 patients I've had with Schizophrenia along with some form of autism who always gravitated towards speed once in a while spiraling them outta control. People with moderate-to-severe mental handicaps, especially those with delirium, anxiety etc. should avoid stimulants like Cocaine, Amphetamine, Dexmethylphenidate and Methylphenidate as it's usually like throwing a molotov towards the gas station during rush hour. And at last, yes, no person with his stature should start at that dosage but for the drug's intended usage, it's not a worrying amount to work oneself up to either.
