    The reason it took over 17 years to open was that it went bankrupt during the Great Recession of 2009, changed hands and finally resumed construction. So, for all those years it just sat and sat and sat unfinished and the Clark County Commission was getting close to telling them to either finish it or demolish it as it was a major eyesore and pretty much the last of the unfinished abandoned projects that were scattered all around Las Vegas. So very happy to see it finished and open for business. Will wait a month or so to visit. Checked dinner reservations and most have been packed for the holidays. I presume the Nowhere lounge is a tip of the hat to the staircase to nowhere in Miami. It is just a staircase to nowhere but in its day a place for women to pose in gowns for photos.

      Thanks for watching! It's not terrible, but it isn't super simple either. There is no Starbucks. The most convenient spot from the hotel tower would be Cafe Cuto which is pretty near the guest elevators on floor two. The other option would be Chez Bon Bon, which requires a fairly lengthy walk across the casino floor.

    Hello. Nice video. Question : is resorts world walkable from fountainbleu ? Safe walk at night ? Wanted to see Carrie underwood concert at resorts world.

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  9 місяців тому +1

      Very easily walkable. Circus Circus is literally right across the street from Fontainebleau's SW entrance, and Resorts World is right next door to Circus Circus. "Safe" means different things to different people, but we wouldn't hesitate to walk it, even at night. It's not a nice area, and it is likely to feel a little desolate after dark so just stay aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine. Just cross over to the west side of the strip and go down that side.

    We just had our "experience" at the Fontainebleau this afternoon. We had our reservation confirmation number, but they "did not have us in their computer." We showed them the confirmatory email and the manager said, "that's from a different department." I cannot make this sh*t up!!! The manager made no attempt to make us whole, despite us being extremely nice. We are Vegas locals who wanted to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary at a new, gorgeous property. We got in a cab and returned home. We will NEVER return to the Fontainebleau, and will discourage our out-of-town friends from staying there. We will only return when this beautiful property, through the incompetence of current management, goes belly-up in 6-12 months and is forced to sell out to MGM, Caesar's, Wynn or Venetian.
