Every week a new video is uploaded featuring a song or transcription of traditional music.
Heres my arrangement on one of my favourite songs "The Galway Girl". Steve Earle played it originally on the mandolin, but I felt it was time to bring out the Irish Buzouki.
"The Galway Girl" is written by Steve Earle and recorded with Irish musician Sharon Shannon. It was featured on Earle's 2000 album Transcendental Blues. "The Galway Girl" tells the semi-autobiographical story of the songwriter's reaction to a beautiful black-haired blue-eyed girl he meets in Galway, Ireland. Local references include Salthill and The Long Walk.
Happy Trad Thursday!

Thank you so much for the Love Mike Wain!
Do you by chance have tab for this? I would love to learn it!
Sorry mate, I learn all by ear usually 😓 but It's pretty similar to the mandolin version by Steve Earle. Good Luck!
Thanks Johannes, I really like your rendition. But it would be even nicer if the camera position would allow a better look which chords you are playing with your left hand. Just a suggestion...
Thank you! I will have that in mind for future videos 😃 but that makes it a good exercise to train your ears 🇮🇪🎶☘️ have a great day!
What brand is that? Sounds really nice.
Looks like a Hora Concert
Are you in GDAD ?
Exactly, and capo on second fret!
