LG 9kg Steam Washer: Allergy Care Cycle

- I haven't used this cycle, and as the dog's blankets and towels need a nice long wash and not have too much detergent residue left over it seemed ideal to try it out!
I go through some of the menu options before the cycle - same for every cycle though some of the specific options (e.g. rinses) alter, the temperature is fixed at 60°C and I don't think the "Time Save" option was available. You can also see detecting, 6 motions, steam, intermediate spin, final rinse and final spin.
We're using Surf liquid at the moment - like the smell but really prefer powder. I had to remove a big blob of residue from the detergent drawer the other day of Surf liquid build up, mixed with Calgon and stain removal powder from goodness knows how many washes!
There is some background noise in places from the boiler - too cold to turn it off at the moment! Also I'm getting used to my new camera so please excuse some of the dodgy angles!
Enjoy & thanks for watching!
Hello! Thank you for your comment - there are many products I've based purchase decisions on purely from vids on here so I'm pleased to have been of help to you! And yes, I think I really should get some sort of fee from LG, my vids have quite a lot of views now! Be sure perhaps to do a vid of yours?
thanks for posting this, after watching your video i decided to purchase the 10kg version of this...6 rinses and a warm final rinse = heaven for an allergy sufferer!..you should get a finders fee from lg lol.
@kotas5123 Hello thanks for watching! In both this cycle and cottons the number of steam phases is dependent on the load size: for cycles 2hrs+ there are 2 steam phases, for cycles 1hr or less there is one. Each steam phase lasts about 10-12 minutes.
Medic Rinse there is no steam, the washer just heats the rinse water. Have used it a few times, especially on towels, and it works very well. So weird that the laundry is warm after the spin though!
How many steam phases are in thys cycle and in standard cottons programme?
The medic Rinse is without steam?Love this washer.
Great video, thanks for uploading.
Hello thanks for your comments! So far as i can make out this is a European model, all the US ones seem to have square doors?! No it doesn't dry... check out my other videos and you'll see the matching dryer.
