- Falcon Punch is one of the most iconic moves in the entire Smash series but it has never been known for being a particularly good move in high level play. Out of all of its iterations however, the Smash 4 version takes the cake as being the least effective Falcon Punch has ever been.

This video made me miss Smash64 Falcon Punch, it was fast, strong, can end combos reliably and can even be used to aid his recovery, heck I even miss the fiery falcon sprite and the explosion sound effect. Good times.
also ive always liked the way he says it in 64 more. it sounds like he's really putting his all into it in that version.
I have to give it to the sound department for Falcon Punch.
It really sounds like it'll leave an impact there, whereas in other titles...not so much.
I dunno, the move just feels less special when it's something you can reliably land. It just becomes that cool sounding combo ender, instead of the eater of dreams that landing raw Falcon Punch is.
Remember when Falcon Punch was a *recovery move*?
Ah yes, the recovering Falcon Punch in 64. Those were the days.
We need that back, and come out on frame 43 like smash64!
When you realize that the entire context of the video can basically thrown out the fucking window because this is all assuming you can somehow hit the falcon punch in the first place
You know a move is good when you can be killed for successfully landing it
Maybe they thought Falcon Punch would be way more likely to hit in an 8-player match, so they nerfed it? That's the only explanation I can think of. But yeah, back in the Smash 4 days I think I learned from watching a combo video that charging forward smash is Falcon's best raw kill option after a shield break, which is just sad.
Wow falcon punch is so pathetic in ssb4 the game that corrects falcons flaws from brawl just wow
I have returned after quite a while. Sorry it has been so long since my last Smash video. I simply struggled to find a video I wanted to make and I didn’t have a lot of motivation for a few reasons. But I have returned and I hope this video turned out ok. As always, I am sorry that my mic isn’t great. I did change my setup and I made an effort to reduce the background noise in particular but there are still clear downsides with my mic. The good news however is that I am finally looking to properly fix it. I’ve been using the same mic for pretty much all these videos and by next year I will have a new one which is hopefully much better.
Thank you all for stopping by. If you enjoyed the video, feel free to rate, comment, subscribe and share. I highly appreciate all of it. As always, this is a part of an ongoing series on my channel and I am open for requests, with Brawl being the main game I cover in this series. ua-cam.com/play/PL29Zh-SMStvK92LOoAxd8TgBfrklTn2FA.html&si=ROydbq1ANNv_12ce
Ness pk flash in melee,?
PK Flash could happen one day. Would be an easy target.
That bit at 8:18 killed me 😂
Still in disbelief this nerf was made. Good job!
If I may request a move, then Ridley's Skewer would be a fun fit for this series.
It's one of the few blunder moves unique to Ult and it's a shame since it's very cool attack.
-Sourspots at max-range since the sweetspot doesn't stretch past the sourspot on the spear tail
-Does jack all to shields
-Is very negative on hit for the sourspot (-22) and when tipper on a grab immune opponent (-25) after that patch which removed that bury infinite seen in Doubles
When the ONLY benefit that the move has in comparison to stronger AND faster moves is that it's hype to land, you know that it's really bad. Still hype tho
Great points. Unfortunately, S4 Falcon Punch jab locks, so it's the best iteration of the move. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣‼️‼️‼️
Darn. I’ve been outsmarted.
Can you make a good smash move about Snake's Up-Tilt video?😂
I have been thinking about making videos on good Smash moves for a while. If I do start looking at good moves, that would be a good candidate.
@@bigbangbot-SuperSqank yeah just do it, I am so excited for that hitbox
Whats the song you play during some of the text transitions like 4:32?
It's quite an obscure one. It is one of the cutscene songs from Enchanted on the DS.
The Falcon Punch should be way faster and stronger.
Damn you really skipped Smash 4
4:50 wait who is Mario
I think he’s the small man that is getting Falcon Punched. Don’t know much else about him other than that.
@@bigbangbot-SuperSqank Apparently he jumps a lot? I dunno. He's from some niche franchise from the... 80's, I think?
You could be right but it isn’t ringing any bells.
Poor falcon punch in smash 4 lol
The whole point of falcon Punch is for it to be an impractical option meant purely to flex on your opponent if you hit it.
Sure but IDK, it being Falcon’s strongest move feels more natural and makes it more satisfying to land.
