Love how this bike is still relevant 5 years after launch and I love seeing new fresh videos on them. I think deep down everyone is a Gixxer lover.
Not sure what you mean the gsxr 1000 dates back to 01
@@masonreed5684 I am talkin about the most recent model. Launched in 2017
In 30 years it'll still be relevant cause it'll always be fast.
@@drewmorg. ohhh I see you. I actually got a 06 750 and love the thing
Is 200 horsepower really enough any more? I remember when 100 was considered too much, five years later bikes were making 150 and some were complaining that it wasn't enough, now 200 isn't enough, 10 years from now you'll need 300 + to be a real man! 😂 Oh and none of your sissy rider aids. 😆
The giggle sums up the review perfectly. My K5 still has that effect every time I ride.
Gixxers always have been and hopefully always will be the ultimate hooligans bike . Guaranteed to put a smile on your face every time you ride
To be fair EVERY litre bike puts a smile on your face. 🙂😎
Yep
@@darkknight17 : To be ACCURATE not like a Gixxer. Rode one for years.
They’re as unique as the Hemi. And run a hell of a lot like them.
They won't be for sale soon! Brand new that is as Suzuki havnt kept up with emissions regs, no update in years and looks like no updates are coming
Had my Gixer 1000 for 6yrs. Absolutely loved everything about it.
Went to which bike(s) after Gsxr1000?
@@stmboat New Honda CBR650R. Half the hp but you can still have fun. I'm quite impressed with it but I was mourning the loss of the Gixer for a while
@@rwalton159 I'd be heartbroken💔, I've got a gsxs1000f, can't do sports bike riding position anymore. 16 stone & 60yo.🤣🤣
Love your videos. Personally i think most bikes are too much for the street. After 30 years of only riding on the street, i recently i gave up the street to focus on the track. No looking back. The street is just too dangerous these days, with distracted drivers.
The track is the natural habitat for these bikes...
Finally put your big boy pants on huh
this bike needs a supercharger to be street able.
Totally, for the street I have a GSR600 and with "only" 97bhp I already think it's borderline limit if you don't wanna get in jail quick or splashed in someones windshield like a mosquito
@@PTSeTe lol I have 200 rwhp on my 2011 zx10r and it’s just absolutely fucking ridiculous. Totally unusable for the most part
Agreed, not to mention track days seem alot more affordable when you take speeding fines or court appearances into account
Had to check out your video after you commented on mine. Your video quality is amazing dude, keep up the great work!
Thanks bro! Appreciate you taking the time to watch. 👍
Love that bike. Typical Suzuki - so easy on the eye beautiful to look at, raw power a real riders machine with reliability other manufacturers dream of. Top it all off the Suzuki Triton blue looks sensational 👍👍👍👍
I currently own the 2020 Suzuki Katana coming off three Hayabusa’s from years gone by and ALL of them made/make me smile 😊
Loved my 2001 GSXR1000 fresh from the dealer. Took it to the track and realized that I didn’t and couldn’t use it properly. I traded it in for a 2003 GSXR600 and what a great track bike that was! Gixxers are flat out awesome.
Still have my 05 gsxr 600 to this day, and with only 6400 miles on it!! Oh yeah..
@@russmode You know you’re supposed to ride the bikes
@@mateosilva2224 hah! Big yes, barely have time for 2 of them let alone 3 now, still fit enough to get on that GSXR every now and then, love the looks from ppl when the old ripped guy with grey mid chest length beard gets off it! Gotta enjoy life a bit!
Had one, was awesome yet so uncomfortable, changed for the gsx1000s and loving life on that a daily gem
I owe a gixxer thou for two years now, and it isn’t for the road but you can make it absolutely docile on the road. Traction control level 7 or 8 in the rain mode is perfect for the road, and it’s my daily commuter to work in those settings. It won’t pull you back if you give it beans at that setting, in bumper to bumper traffic in Florida weather here it doesn’t get hot, and its as comfortable as the s1000rr in the sport bike category. Always reliable, built like a tank, and with a yoshimura slip on, it can easily satisfy your occasional speed demons. God tier sport bike.
And doesn't cost much .
@@joecamel6835 Seen the GSXR1000R for 13k on showroom before covid. Same bike offered since 2017, so good then and still is.
Get a go on the 2005,,6 gsxr no electronic stuff and plenty of low down torque,,no scrolling through anything 160 BHP,, like the quick shifter blipper ,,if I had the money I'd like one being a Suzuki man ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland flat bars on mine great,, and 56 year old 😁😁😁
Great video as always..love the gsxr1000r!! One hell of a machine ..I have a gsxr750, for me that's plenty for these roads..I had liter bikes ,just too much n unnecessary.. I love going full throttle on the 750, soooo fun and it's SOOO LIGHT. greetings from Florida,USA
Those 750's are quick too! Quick enough really. Thanks bro! 👍
Agree! I had many 1000s and other bikes in my life including three Hayabusa’s and even the Ninja H2 in 2016. You know the stand out bike out all of them ? The Suzuki GSXR-750! I had a 2008 I used as a track bike, and an L8 on the road. The simplest, reliable, best, sweetest handling perfect power to weight ratio bike I ever had. Love the fact no electronic bullshit, light, will run rings in the corners over ANY other bike. Yes you know that feeling 👍
@@jeffestrada6857 When I first got into bikes I was obsessed with sports bikes. I had a 1998 Kwak ZX-7R and my buddy had the GSXR750. His bike was so much faster than mine, it was like I had a 600! I thought I could keep up but he just took off and gapped me everywhere.
750 is my favourite mine with full Yoshi system cat delete sprint filters quick shifter and tune hangs with the 1000 till around 200kph so more then enough for the street
Been riding for 30 years and have owned many bikes. There has always been a Gixxer in my possession for a number of reasons. The main one is it's ease of maintenance and it's reliability.
I feel the same with these high power machines on the road but they are fun when you have a go and I completely get it 😆 I just like comfort 😂
My first 1000cc bike was k4 gsxr. Loved that bike - so fast!! Can’t imagine what a new ones like with 40 more horses 🐴 !
my first is a 2001 k1 liter gixxer. have been riding it for a bit over a month. slowly warming up to maybe going full throttle one day. not there yet. the darn thing wants to rip your face off at every turn.
@@SoulTouchMusic93 after passing my test I had a Honda hornet 600 for a year then moved to the gsxr-1000. What a difference, fiat ride out I sh1t my pants it was so quick!!
@@lastdimestudios yep. scared myself half to death because i've tightened the throttle cable, then went to work. went to overtake a car and gave it much more throttle than i've meant. damn thing flies down the road.

Thank you Dan, fun and informative as always. "Only 200 bhp" lol 🏍
I just liked and subscribed to your channel. Great video!! 👍 Thank you for reviewing my bike, I have a 21 GSXR1000R. I like to see other people's opinions of it. I bought it because of the strong low 💪 to midrange pull gixxers have. I took a 100 lb friend, ( 45 kg ) for a spirited ride on the Garden State Parkway cruising between 90 and 120 mph in 6th gear and it pulled strong, never had to downshift and I didn't really notice any drag from her weight. That is why 1000cc bikes are necessary for the road. Thanks and keep up the great content!
Your very right Dan. In these modern days with police speed traps so sophisticated your licence is at risk or even worse. Don't get me wrong tho ! I love sports bike's. In the late 90's to 2008 I would finish my work shift at 2:30am on a Saturday morning and go and thrash (try to) my Blade or R1 around North Wales until dawn and then go home. Up at 4am on Sunday morning and do it all over again. Evo Triangle and more ! Bought a 2016 Gixer tho in 2020 and sold it 4 months later after starting to use its power and hitting crazy speeds again. Almost having as much fun on my current Hornet 600 until I find a nice relaxed 1000cc bike that makes you ride a bit slower !
I have the previous model. I raised the clip-ons and lowered the pegs, by an inch both. It’s reasonably comfortable and I prefer having a fairing and leaning forward, in contrast to naked bikes. It’s so massively capable and refined that it’s actually very easy to ride in any condition. On the road I’m usually under 8500 RPM. It takes discipline and finesse but is an incredible bike to own.
How hard is it to raise the clip ons and lower the pegs? I sat on one the other day and the riding position was a bit too much but I didn't even think of adjusting it.
The previous model (2009-2016 1000 and current 750) used adjustable peg mounting plates. I bought another pair of these and had a welder extend them by an inch. For clip ons I used Helibar Tracstars.
I finally managed to buy a GSXR 1000 K3 a few years back. It was very light and the power to weight ratio was unbelievable. I think it weighs around 166 kg and had around 160 hp. It was surprisingly not too scary.
On song it was incredible. Too much for the road? Well yes but the grin factor was immense. Sadly my then 62 year old body couldn't cope. Would I have another? Absolutely despite the pain. I think the GSXR is legendary.
It's a legend for certain. I'm glad I got to ride one finally. Only took me 20 odd years! :D
My 05 GSXR at 50 years old does a job on my neck in the crouch, most everything else ok on the short rides.
They're great bikes. I've owned a modern gsxr-1000. It was fun while it lasted. I ended up selling it and buying my childhood dream bike. A 94 FZR-1000. Even being almost 30 years old the bike still has plenty of power. More than any reasonable person needs for road use.
you can get that bike supercharged
I think it is more bike than most people will use on the road so you could just get something cheaper, but I live in Texas and the highways are an ideal stomping ground for a 1000 so I’m probably still going to get my first liter bike finally
I have had my K2 for just over 2 years now, and it has become the bike that I would be the most reluctant to sell.
Loved my 2019 gixxer but after a few points deductions and a few close calls with Law I had to trade it in, always felt I could never get the most out of it and then when you did open it up your constantly looking for the police LOL. Cracking bike , still miss it.
Lmao just ride it normal 😂, I ride my 03 R1 everyday and it’s got 158hp with a loud delkevic exhaust and police don’t pay me any mind 🤷🏾♂️
I have the 2017 1000R and I agree with you. It's not comfortable on slower roads. It gets better after you flash it. Get rid of that deceleration fuel cut-off. I use mine mostly on trackdays and it's amazing.
I got rid of the decel fuel cut on my mt10, made it a lot nicer to ride.
Week ago I done ride to Nurburging (whole day on track) and few places round Germany. Most comfortable superbike on the road.
I almost bought this bike brand new. Unfortunately with my financial status, I couldn't. I did have the chance to hear the bike and see the menu. After sitting on it I fell in love.
So glad I went with the aprilia RS-660 .
So damn comfortable and fun
Yeah, one of the best sportsbikes I've ever ridden. Enjoy!
Me too, just got rid of rsv4 to the rs660. Much better street bike
I have old, bulletproof K7 1000 :D Its f*king insane :D you cannot use all the HP but its still a fun and comfortable sportbike :)
I can use all the hp,, lol 😂😆

I'm a huge fan of this GSXR1000R. Super gutted superbike are dying out. I would have loved to own this bike.
I have a low mileage Yamaha R1 2009 big bang from new. It only sees dry days and is still very relevant 💯
Keep hold of that R1. Will be rare in years to come, even now!
These kinds of bikes are comfortable only at very illegal speed 120km/hr+. I own a GSX-R750 and a CBR650R. I much prefer the Honda. It's all the sport bike you need and you can actually use most of its potential on the street while having just as much or more fun.
120 km/hr is normal motorway speed, hardly very illegal.
Hopefully I can get the naked ver of this bike next year, GSX-S1000... it looks great!
Love the way you do the videos And reviews on the motorbikes one of my favourite channels to watch. I've decided am going to save for a motorbike for my 40th birthday and it's got to be the triumph trident because it's a beautiful looking bike and the review you done on it was amazing.
Nice review Dan, love the induction roar of the GSXR, and let's be honest modern 1000cc bikes are all about making a decent base for race prepping, they are not really aimed at the road rider any more, and tbh, any bike over 600cc will get you into trouble pretty damn quick in the wrong hands or situation, and the throttle does go both ways, so you don't always have to be 'on it' to enjoy a 1000cc, the mid-range grunt you get from a 1000cc, for a spot of overtaking, when you want, is nice, but in the UK where the roads are full of potholes and muppets who can't drive and don't see bikes, even when we have lights on, so perhaps thats why adventure bikes have taken over from Sports bikes, probably just as much fun, without having to ride like a TT racer.
I've ridden Sports bikes pretty much ever since 1998, after a bit of a gap, and owned all sorts including R6's, 750's, SP1's FireBlades, and 2 GSXR thou's both K5 models and I would buy another K5/K6 tomorrow, in preference to a new 1000cc sports bike, IMHO the K5/K6 was the pinnacle of the GSXR1000 line, quick enough for the road, even with "only" 165bhp 😉 comfortable for a long ride 200-300 miles + in a day, easily, I had mine set-up professionally which made a massive difference to how the bike felt down the twisties, decent set of Pirelli's it was easily as quick even in my hands (and I'm not Peter Hickman, by any means) as newer i:e more powerful bikes down the back roads and the mid-range grunt was just incredible for a spot of overtaking.
And like you say the 🔔-ends at bike meets that say a 200bhp Super bike isn't powerful enough are talking out of their backside and tbh, I could pretty much guarantee if you met one down a twisty road you could best him on my old K5 thou, with "only" 165bhp 😂
All good points! I'd love to ride a K5 just to see. It seems it's Suzuki's Magnum Opus of sportsbikes.
Absolutely brilliant video! Had me in stitches at some of your comments.
Thanks mate! 😊
Well my Aprilia RS 125 to much for the road ...we have 120km/h speed limit and a very active police nowdays, thanks for a great video!
I know it's not the best superbike on the market but it's still better than I am. It's also roomier for my 6'3" frame and I love the more old school looks. The dustbin on the side would have to go though.
I've had 'blades since 2011 as my daily commuter and for fun at the weekend but when it came time to change my 2017 SP I loved the look of the RR-R but within minutes of my test ride I realised it's 100% track focused and is like a torture implement to ride as well as being totally lifeless below 7/8,000 RPM, the opposite of every previous comfortable do it all 'blade, so I went in search of something comparable to the traditional 'blade and eventually found it in my 2021 GSX-R 1000R, it's just as comfortable as the old 'blades but with that extra spice to it a lovely do it all bike.
Too much for the road? Just about every modern sports bike can be used at 40% of its potential maximum on today's roads. After almost 40 years of petrol bikes I've just moved to a Zero FXE (in the Paris region where petrol bikes are basically becoming unusable) and am loving it. 135kg, 106nm of torque and it makes it from the very first twist. It handles like a dream too. As much as I've loved my 20 odd past bikes, I think that the future is electric and the 0-60 times are what counts these days not 70-230mph.
They only work in cities. Also they will never substitute petrol bikes because of nature of the people who buy bikes.
@@grtbgf They really only need to find a way for electric cars&bikes to make some noise other than the current constant whine. It'll eventually be a standard thing to expect.
Yes and no. For the city like you say it can be a replacement. But to be honest, in a populated city, a scooter still rules as king, for the convenience and swirling in and out stuff. On anything highway , an electric bike sucks. Period. I loaned a zero fxe to see if it could replace my motoguzzi for my daily commute. 60km one way, 90% highway. I can tell you that I gave it back after 3 days. The range drops exponentially from its claimed 160km. I could barely make 60km doing 70/120km on the highway.(and I was riding like an angel. Riding slower behind a lorry at about 50 was better, a about 80km...but why ride a motorcycle if I have to keep thinking about the range and sticking behind a lorry? The range loss caused by drag is just too high. Basicly it's not ready yet for anything but city riding and some twisty small roads. Just don't go to far.
@@henrietn true, horses for courses. There are now electric bikes with ranges of 300km+
But the FXE is designed for cities and twisties, which suits my commute perfectly.
@@tonydare7614 Still no geared ones though I hear Kawi is working on it. so basically a big scooter/moped. booooooooring. Same as the big bikes you can use in one gear booooooooooring untill you hit a mad long straight. Best riding is to hit the twisties on a 400cc single, twin or inline 4.
The king of sportbike's
I wanted that exact color scheme. I could on find the black and red one! Beautiful bike
Yes this one is actually the Anniversary edition. They don't sell it any longer it seems. 😢
There are many manufacturars that make a good solution for this like the cbr650r, rs660, r7,etc.. i have a cbr650r for the road and a dedicated track bike (2008 fireblade), best of both worlds 👊
Best way to do it!
Me with my newly delivered GSX-R125....totally elated with the performance despite its size.
You are absolutely right. For the road, the bike is total overkill, but so what? The bike is amazing in every way. I own a 2005 GSXR 1000, which is not as powerful as more recent year models but is a more comfortable ride. For me, it's about pride of owning a piece of motorcycle history. You don't need a 200 horsepower motorcycle to go from zero to federal speeding in a couple of seconds. 😊
Enjoy and be careful......
You got the point of the video. The answer 'so what' is exactly what I was getting at. Thanks for watching!
Love watching Dan's reviews, one of the best in the uk
Thanks man, I just ride, talk rubbish and hope it's at least a bit entertaining! 😁
Got the exact same bike. I love it to bits. Price/quality/fun ratio was the best in the 1000cc sportbike class. Before they kicked it out of the EU that is... :/
I PDI' many gixxer's when I worked at Suzuki, in 2005 it was already too much for the road, beautiful machines
I got a GSX-S1000 and I love that Bike it has all the torque and power of the race bike at below a 100mph and it’s comfy I can ride it all day no problems at all. But yea it’s a hand full if you ride it hard at all.
Cracking bike, one of the best litre nakeds. 👍
Can see why some people love em, must be a proper blast to ride .... but my somewhat abused spine and neck just can't do the ergonomics of sports bikes for more than a few miles so I stick to machines with a more upright riding position.
I test rode one as a replacement for my K1 thou I sold 10 years ago, and it was stupid fast! Ended up buying a Gen 2 GSXS1000 which is way more comfortable, but still way fast enough… but man the roads are in shocking condition compared to my K1 days….
Yeah sadly the roads are so risky nowadays. 😵💫
I have the gsxs version of this bike. Same frame, swingarm and K5 engine tuned for the street, 152bhp. Its plenty and very capable, I use it daily, and yes I agree rece bikes are a handful on the road. I've done all afternoon in the Peak District today and hardly seen any fully faired race bikes, they're mostly nakeds, MTs, triumphs, dukes etc. ....Great vid BTW
152? capable of getting in the way,, lol pull over new motorcycles are using the road. lol 🤣😆
That’s my favourite colourway. Gorgeous bike
Surely the GSX-S1000GT is exactly the bike for people who want to experience this engine but in a road-friendly package. That bike still has 150bhp which is more than enough for most of us and it's still pretty light!
Yeah, or the naked GSX-S1000 which is also really good.
@@Englishbikerdan ah yeah of course, I was just thinking of the GT as it's also faired. I'd say the non-GT would be the go-to for weekend blasts and track days and the GT as more of a commuter/pillion/touring all-rounder.
I’m a Suzuki man. I’ve owned 5 of the from a 125cc to a GSXR 1000. This bike just needs a decent can. 👍
Ha ha what funny video Dan. I am no sports bike guy but man that thing looked a lot of fun. Would love to get it on track but to much for the roads. Love it though! 🤣
After seeing several videos, for me it´s hard to get rid of my 02 bandit 600. I love the GSXr´s.
i bought one in 2020 an totally love it never leaving suzuki again 😂
GSXR'S are the easiest bikes to work on (so says my mechanic), run very cool and don't bake the legs. Drop bar racing bicycles and sports bike riding positions are similar. The saddle to clip on distance is compact not stretched out.
Buy a Honda and never have to work on it 😛
@@billygraham2132 Oh yeah I got a Blackbird too
Doesn't look too dissimilar to the 2005 GSXR1000, amazing machine for over 20 years.

Too much for the road? That’s funny my grandmother said the same thing when she saw I bought one last week.
Get rid of the exhaust and put one from the brand Taylormade on. The Taylormade ones are tucked away nicely and sound even greater. As a bonus you get a few more hp after a dyno run.
lol, yes I could tell before you made the statement, I don't really ride sports bikes. Not much of the side of the tires had touched the road. Love this machine though, would not mind to own one. Good video !
Haha, to be fair I'd have no issues leaning the bike as it handles so well. The tyres were brand new as the previous pair got destroyed at Cadwell.
I have one , best Suzuki ever agree with most of what you say. Best buy superbike for the road or track with bullet proof reliability, had all sorts of bikes over the years but I just prefer sports bikes. I am 6ft 2in tall & I fit on it no problem with no aches or pains & can ride for hours on end. I have been riding since I was 8 years old , now 69 years old. Have had Honda,Kawasaki,Yamaha,Ducati,Bmw,Mv Agusta,Triumph,Bsa but mainly Suzuki since I was a teenager. Thoroughly recommend this bike I have the MotoGp replica 2019 model its a keeper. Probably my last bike I will ever need.😂❤
I dont know why suzuki decided not to have the indicators integrated in the mirrors and tail on this new model.
I own a 2016 750 (yes the one with the ugly headlight) and one of the things i love the most is how clean the whole body looks without having those indicators sticking out the fairings and specially that king cobra looking tail how it widens out due to the indicators being integrated.
I had one for 5yrs. I only swapped it because I wanted to try a 1000
One of the best bikes ever produced imho
I completely get what your saying Dan but Christ what a machine i love it !! will never have one but would love too and yes for sure half that many horses are perfectly fine for road use . Great review I can tell ya had a whole hell of a lot of fun great watch 😊👌
Haha yeah. It's totally pointless but also so much fun.
your T levels are at half also.
As an owner of a 2015 S1000RR with the all of the options added, I can reveal that I miss my L4 GSXR 1000. The BMW is too much, feels like a turbo the way the power comes on, where as the GSXR allowed you to gradually get into licence-losing territory with the high rev limit. What the GSXR lacked in goodies, it made up for in soul. I am now looking to sell the BMW and pick up a similar GSXR, no traction control, no ABS, exactly how it should be. My two cents worth.
Hope u get the 750...one hell of a machine with so much character.. I love that it has no ABS OR TC..keeps you on your toes.. rode a bike with all the tech n HATED IT. no soul. Felt like the bike was riding me... gsxr750 all day. Cheers
@@motorcycleartist I wanted to get a 1000 but after watching numerous videos I became convinced that i would probably be dead within a year. So I started watching lots of 600 Gsxr but I'm a little heavy at 225 so I think the 750 will be perfect I hope. I also like that there is not a bunch of electronic stuff. Cheers
@@stormyweather2837 the 750 is perrrfect..you'll def enjoy that bike!! Light and very very fast after 10k rpm.holy damn!.. anyways stay safe brother
I had a 750 before the 1000, great bike but was a K8 and the suspension and brakes were just slightly wanting. The L4 nailed it in my opinion. Also tend to use the bike on euro roads where the top end grunt of the 1000 is handy.
I’m still rocking a K5. Thing is still brilliant.
Legendary engine 👍
Me too - a black and yellow one. Had it since 2005 and have never found anything I prefer. Awesome machine! And surprisingly comfortable for long rides
@@andrewrose9707 I have the same color! 🔥
I have an 06 just hit 32k miles it rides better than new
Well, I loved this video, top job again Dan. Made me chuckle.
I got a K5. No back ,wrist or knee ache for me. Its got hard suspension though. I can flop on a full tank back for longer journeys.
Yr right its too quick for the road. Standing quarter in 10.1seconds at 144mph, 0-100 is about 6 seconds, top speed over 180mph. Its about 25kilos lighter than the new one and approx 30bhp less.
The torque is lower on the K5 , max is 8,500rpm not 10,800 for the new one. So it very relaxing to ride at normal speeds!
You cant use the engine on country lanes really - 120mph comes up too fast, 3/4 throttle for more than a few seconds gets into madness. 150mph on a B road?
You can use the full ballistic acceleration joining A roads and motorways though - which is a blast.
The engine doesnt feel like its working unless yr accelerating from over 80mph and only over about 120mph does it feel like its...trying.
In the wet I have to brace my throttle hand on the bar end for precise throttle control other wise more than small throttle openings spins up the rear tyre - even in 6th -
There's no ABS or modes or traction control so some care is required everywhere.
Im 5'8" tall and slim at 10stone 10/150lbs/68kgs and 64 years old. So I am 30kilos lighter than a lot of the testers on UA-cam !
Its the fastest thing Ive ever ridden -much faster than my new Blackbird in '97
.
When I was younger I cant say I would have used the engine more - I was just inclined to brake later and go faster around blind bends! I was a despatch rider for 10 years so i can still be a bit of a nutter - but the bike just laughs at me when I try to go fast on it.
I LOVE IT :))
Crikey, all that torque and no rider aids. My slow GSX1400 (which sadly, I let go earlier this year as I wasn’t going to be where it lives) was all I needed & way more than I wanted. What I liked hugely was the look & stance. I retrofitted twin chrome exhausts, because I love that muscular & retro look.
Being the owner of a k6 1k for several years now, I totally agree with everything that was said in the above post about the k5. I like the look and the performance of the current gsxr 1k, but the bike is so uncomfortable to me as is the case for the majority of the current liter bikes with the exception to some extent of the zx-10. I'm 5'7 tall and weigh 172 lbs and no longer a spring chicken, but my bike is super comfortable to me and I love the power delivery of it. As much as I want a newer 1k I doubt that I'll get one.
This is amazing, no accident while driving on the wrong side...
Did you come up with that one yourself? 😆
@@Englishbikerdan I wanted to, but I had to hire writers to do it, really worth it!
The K4 1000 will always be the choice for me!! 🥰
Nice! 👍
my dream bike is between the fireblade triple R, or the S1000 rr....but if i could get the GSXR1000, id get the nardo grey with the blue wheels.....love that colour combo.
great video, and well impressed with the sound.
I agree that some bikes are too fast to use on the roads in the uk but they are still use able in Europe especially the Ducati street fighter V4 which is a good price and sounds very good I might have to consider one as I know live in Spain or something similar I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this one very good video
I own the base model! Best bike ever!
I'm not a bike rider personally and know next to nothing about them... but this is a stunning machine.. I think its cos it looks like the motogp variant...
Thanks for taking the time to watch. Yes very similar looking bike to the Motogp one. 👍
@@Englishbikerdan it's based on the 1960s colours is it not
I'm not a bike rider but it looks like flying 😎😎😎
seen this gxr go wild on track special a great rider rides this monster
Youre right, this bike represents the pinnacle of the UJM's!! Get 'em while you can ;-)
I really enjoyed the 15 years I had with my Suzuki Bandit 1200S. I traded my Ninja for a Triumph America for my wife. I miss the G-forces. I guess I could get a MT1000 for myself.
Awesome fun video man. Nice one 👍
I imagined riding a sport bike my entire life, yet when I turned 36, it became very unbearable to ride as you described. My back, bum, knees, ankles, wrists, and hand were aching. So i upgraded to a Harley Street glide Custom.
Nice, enjoy!
Boring😴😴
@@stephenwilliams6103 As long as someone enjoys their bike, why do you care? Your comment is boring.
I was lucky to live in a country where Suzuki sold their glorious GSX1400.
It’s more than anyone could need other than sharp handling. It’s a bus, but crikey it goes, two up with luggage, light a scalded cat. And with a shaped seat with a silicone insert plus a small screen, you can ride at illegal mph for a whole tank without getting into physical trouble. I’m in my 60s.
You sir, are an "Old Man" ! Lol
200hp oh my! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Guess he's never seen Crash Test Goat's channel. That Chad would use this to the fullest.
Watched him the other day. We can't do that in this country. The speed cameras would get you or the bad drivers would.
I cant wait for the gsx-rrrrr1000rrrrr. Its going to be badass…
.... rrrrrr-sp. 😁
Stunning bike mate
Never too much for the road.
Hmm. Well, personally I like to ride a slow bike fast, rather than a fast bike slow. The popo will get you! :D
@@Englishbikerdan when you have a slow bike that you ride fast you start to push the bikes limits and not your which leads to crashes. You can still ride a fast bike fast without using all its speed but without over riding it.
I live in the highlands of Scotland where it easier to use all their power
I daily commute on a GSXR 600 SRAD, a really comfortable bike.
As much as I enjoyed my street Rossi days on Gixxers and R1's they were irrelevant in the 2000's and 2010's and now even more so. On the street I now mostly ride a Honda VFR1200 and even that is way more power/race focussed than I need. An all day comfortable machine with 125hp is absolutely enough. If you think you can use all the capability of a litre bike on the road do some tracks days and find out how wrong you are.
I thought the VFR1200 was 170bhp??!!
@@alexmorgan3435 haha your right it is, what I meant was 125hp 'should' be more than enough 😄. It's really more about torque though for me that's what makes bikes fun. I will take violent acceleration over winding out gears to the moon any day.
@@markhingst5368 Yebbut once you've experienced it, giving up a powerful machine is difficult. I guess the only reason you would is if you could no longer afford to keep or run it or some other financial reason or you had a bad accident hurting yourself or some one else.
@@alexmorgan3435 absolutely, my body has had a very rough 44 years so I don't cope so well on full blown sportsbikes for more than about 2-3 hour rides but we are spoiled for choices in more comfortable 150hp+ bikes thankfully 😁
What some fun on the street just get high-rising handlebars and a bigger sprocket then your good to go in comfort.
Beautiful Bike
Hi Dan, could you tell me what jacket you are wearing in this video? Thanks.
Superbike world with mid range power is something special..
The power is too much, but nobody is forcing you to keep the A mode!
At least he did admit it made him smile :)
My K5 GSXR 600 Still does the trick for me!
Prefer the Gsxr750 nicer riding position and usable power, another great video mate 👍
Lovely bike the 750. Wish they still sold them in the UK
Not scarey though.
@@janedubourg4837 What's not scarey?
What you think setting one for the track racing
Best video I've seen.
